A Very Expensive and Disappointing Experience…read more I'm sharing my experience so others considering Invisalign know how important it is to advocate for themselves and get a second opinion if something doesn't seem right. Toward the end of my Invisalign treatment, I could clearly see that my bottom teeth were still not properly aligned. When I questioned this, I was told, "No one will notice it." My response was, "I didn't do this for anyone else. I did it for me." For the amount of money, time, and commitment involved with Invisalign, I found that response very disappointing. I expected my concerns about the final result to be taken seriously. My final trays were ordered anyway, and I also questioned how they fit. At that point, I decided to seek a second opinion from an orthodontist. The orthodontist determined that additional treatment was needed. I completed those additional trays in July--months after I had originally been told that my teeth were aligned when they were not. Yes, and I had to pay again! I am completly happy with the results now. My advice to anyone going through Invisalign treatment: pay attention to your results, speak up when something doesn't look right, and don't hesitate to get a second opinion. This is a significant financial investment, and you should be satisfied with your treatment and feel that your concerns are being heard.

My gums surrounding the remaining tooth were so inflamed and bleeding, I begged him to just pull the tooth. Told me it would be another $300 to pull. I financed over $3000 for tooth I had to have pulled. The least he could have done is pull the damn tooth. I had the tooth pulled by an oral surgeon who confirmed the root tip was fractured. Also look Dr. Stilanos up on LARA, through the state of Michigan website, that should tell you enough.

When you are in the chair for a checkup, they ask if you want a fluoride treatment but do not tell you insurance doesn't cover it or what it costs. This dentist randomly came up in a conversation with my neighbor. They were told they needed a crown by one of the dentists there, but on a follow up visit with a different dentist, they were told they didn't need a crown. We are looking elsewhere from now on.
