I was worried about the cost and wasn't sure. He gave me a week to figure things out and went back a week later for the root canal! Most intense procedure I've been through ever, the numbing wasn't taking but he ensured that it did! 2 weeks later I have 0 tooth pain and am SOOO happy I listened to him!! Two thumbs up! About a month ago, that neglect finally caught up with me and forced me to see a dentist (a new one, but that's the subject of another review). I was told that there was too much gone and that it couldn't be saved, so I was referred to Face Forward. I should say that about 4 years ago, I had another molar removed by a general dentist and it did not go well. It took about 45 minutes and was not pleasant. So I went with more than a bit of apprehension. However, my apprehension was sadly misplaced. The room was set up not unlike a medical surgery, lots of hard surfaces easy to keep clean. The place has 3 or 4 of these with one having its own extremely competent assistant. The surgeon went from theatre to theatre doing his thing. After I was prepped and "profoundly frozen", the surgeon came in to do his thing. 6 minutes later it always all over. What a difference a specialist makes! I still can't believe it was finished that quickly. The only quibble I have is that they make you pay up front and then send the paperwork into the insurance company. As far as the facility and work is concerned, highly recommended.

I can only assume that the dentist assumed no harm no foul if she is not complaining about it. HOW WOULD I HAVE KNOWN OTHERWISE ? Well, fortunately for me Dr Shawn Higashi took me on an emergency referral and scheduled me for extraction within a month of that first visit where he said many things but the one that sticks in my head "that is one mother of a tooth". I went into the surgery a little nervous because I was concerned about pain but felt COMPLETELY CONFIDENT IN DR HIGASHI I was right !!! Amazing care and attention Dr Higashi and his Staff were AAA+ I was educated prior to my surgery, and checked on 3 separate times via phone calls to my home (husband) in the hours and days following. They were sorry.... Well there we are trying to find a way to apply ice to my son's cheeks. This is BS. A fancy office, lousy service and to top it all off a ridiculous bill. This past Saturday I was enjoying said beverage when I banged my false front tooth on the bottle and knocked it out (classy, I know). This is not the first time this has happened. For those of you who know me, this particular tooth was bonded with a fake at the budding age of 6 when a friends' little brother threw a step ladder at me, and, in 1999; in a coffee cup incident; it was knocked loose and rebonded again. I have been going to Harker Chan and Associates for about three years and I called Dr. Harker about correcting my sudden hillbilliness Sunday morning. He graciously answered even though I called a personal number and offered to come in early the next day to get me fixed. I was in and out of his office in a half hour. To say that this man is anything short of a perfectionist would be an understatement. He is quick, professional and knows his work. His portfolio of veneered teeth is impressive; I have seen few veneers that look so natural. Now I can't review the entire practice without also talking about Dr. Chan (Dr. Chan is my regular doctor there, who rocks ps, but Dr. Harker has worked on my false tooth before and is the cosmetic surgeon, hence my call to him). Dr. Chan is prompt, lively and professional. When I was slated to have my wisdom teeth removed; without sedation, Dr. Chan had me back at work in less than a day. This guy knows his dental surgery. These men have ground, filled, bonded, poked and prodded my teeth for three years and I'm always relaxed in their chair. Their staff is friendly, smart and all have a very gentile touch.
