Moved in sept 24, only internet available was Spectrum, I had called Hometown and was told they didn't service my area! Fast forward to April 25, talked with Rod owner of company! And he said they did. So I went filled out paperwork. He stated he had 2 towers and told me the one he wanted to use. Probably be a month he said,, I stated I'd be in Maine working so had all summer. When I arrived back and checked back in it was a your on list, trying to work on storm damage! OK on 2 different times I rescued calls setting up service app, both canceled by Rod mornings of both, Nov of last yr he's having surgery, probably be at least 6wks... I called this week Feb 26, he called back and started in on phone I'm banned from everything getting service for a post on Facebook blog that I wrote. As he was trying to cover himself by going back to when I was told on phone they didn't service my area people witnessed him in person telling he did. I posted is on FB and when I retured his call he was unreal on phone bared for life!! He was still talking but I hung up phone! Hometown Wireless canceled multiple appointments and hasn't followed up. Time to explore other options and give them a 0-star review Hometown wireless differently fall below .... read more

They did not give us our money back. They could not give us the service and it was over the month wait. They are covered in their contract, read it carefully. Also they charge extra for streaming but don't tell you that up front. This is the worse buisness I have ever dealt with. Their service is not even a 1. Run as fast as you can! If there was an option for no stars, that's what my rating would be. We are shocked and appalled by the experience we just had in the store at Computers Unlimited of Zephyrhills not more than 30 minutes ago. More than six months ago, we signed up to have a wireless internet tower installed on our property, and we paid the $2,500 fee for the cost of the installation of the tower. Per the several emails prior to our visit, plus the discussion that occurred during the sign-up process in the store, we understood it would take six months to install the tower on our property. Fast-forward to about five months after signing up - I made several attempts to reach out via email to inquire about the status of our tower project, as NO WORK WHATSOEVER had been completed. I received exactly 0 responses to these emails. As the six-month deadline approached, I began to make daily calls to the store in an effort to get a simple status update on our project. I was extremely polite and respectful each time (even though, obviously, their customer support skills were severely lacking at this point). As the six-month deadline came and went, I continued making attempts to get an update. Finally, I received an email from the owner stating that someone would contact me by phone within the week to inspect the property and begin installing the tower. I'm sure by now you can guess what happened. No one called. No one emailed. Nothing. Finally, we'd had enough. We went back to the store in-person and asked for a refund. **BEWARE** Computers Unlimited has a "No Refunds" policy, which they seem to think extends to projects that are 0% completed and past the agreed-upon deadline. We were told by Max, the "Store Manager", that we would need to call the store owner, Rod, to ask for our refund, after being reminded several times of their "No Refunds" policy. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with being forced to call the store owner myself (shouldn't THEY be the ones calling their boss to request authorization on a refund???), I was invited to "Get the F*** out of [his] store". Realizing this was a lost cause, we informed him he'd be hearing from our lawyer and we'd see him in court. In anticipation of this kind of experience (see various other reviews posted here and elsewhere by other customers with similar experiences), I had my phone recording a voice memo during the entire experience, and you can clearly hear that myself and my aunt were both polite, but determined in our language, to get the refund that we both believe we deserved. The first person to use coarse language was sweaty Max, who apparently can't handle a pair of customers asking nicely for their $2,500 back. I'll be posting a link to the aforementioned voice memo shortly. In closing, this is less about the money now and more about the outrageously offensive "customer service" experience we've had with Computers Unlimited. You can't pay $2,500 for something and get absolutely nothing in return after six months, and pretend to have an enforceable "No Refunds" policy. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't work that way. Avoid these guys. They provide spotty service, they don't provide the speed contracted for and most important NEVER COMPLAIN. Their company policy is always be nice to the staff...not the customer..the staff. If you complain they will drop you as a customer. Great bussiness practice. I tried to get a rebate for a period of time 5 days that the internet wasdown. Iwas told that that was not going to happen. I opened up a BBB complaint to try toget some money back. I'm retired and have medical needs that I need connection to the internet. The internet came back but was extremly slow, so I made a trip to thier office since they DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS, and was told to leave the office and that I was no longer a customer. As a retired Air Force vet and an individual that needs the internet daily for medical needs, I can'tbelieve the way I was treated. If you have these folks foryour internet, NEVER COMPLAIN. They won't like it. I will do everything in my power to spread the word on their business practices and VERY POOR customer service. read more

My mother is 76 yrs old, and has been a customer here for a few months. Her internet service went out over 2, now going on 3 weeks. After a few calls to hometown, we were told that lightening had struck the tower. We were never told when the tower would b repaired. They claimed the tower is located at the condos next door. We called, & the office mgr there, said she nor anyone she knows, has lost internet & this is the 1st time she is hearing about a lightening hit weeks earlier. Several calls and a visit in person yielded an attitude of complete disregard for our situation. Multiple requests for a call back from the owner went unanswered. most of the time, calls go directly to a voice mail.The messages are never returned. I called Hometown today, & a man identifying himself as the manager had me explain the entire situation al over again, asking several questions. I was extremely poite to him, when suddenly (after mentioning the condos still have internet) he completely lost it, screaming, CALM DOWN! You need to calm down right now! Assuming that he was speaking to a customer in the office, I waited a moment. He screamed again, Do You Hear Me? I asked, are you talking to me? He yelled yes! And went off on an insane rant. All I could think of, was, there is something wrong with this man. As I said, this came totally out of left field. He never stopped to draw a breath, just went on, screaming at the top of his lungs,. I informed him I will not be talked to in that manner. He screamed i will never turn your service back on, and will make sure we are banned from ever using their services again. I educated him, I do not have services with him, my address is in Colorado. I am calling to help out my 76 yr old mother. He then said she is banned from ever using their services. Again, I went out of my way to be polite and courteous, and as a former business owner, was appalled at the continued lack of concern for a paying customer. We will be calling the local news for starters..and considering an attorney for my elderly mom. read more
