Sort by size and type of shirt. 3. I would charge one price for all the T-shirts and skip staple prices on them . 4. Encourage staff to button the top button on dress shirts to reduce the number of shirts ending up on the floor. If you know your brands and prices, you can do quite well here with a little bit of digging. As long as it continues to look kind of junky, it will keep the prices lower, so I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing, right!?

This is a smaller store and organizing is clumsy, but I have found some great stuff. Mac is tops for vintage dishes, decor, books...really anything your grandparents would have, or what you would expect to find at an estate sale, and that remains true for St. Vinny's. Some of my favorite finds: a vintage wool Pendleton button up, malachite dish, framed embroidery, like-new coffee maker, and various rain jackets and muck boots sourced for guests unprepared for pnw weather. I also almost always can find a variety of mason jars here. DVDs are $1 (as compared to Goodwill's $2.99), and they have a very large selection, books too, especially considering their demure size. Prices are stapled to clothing. I don't like it, but I have nabbed several nicer shirts and sweaters for my husband around $5 each, and he sure doesn't care about a staple hole if one occurs. I think clothes can be surprisingly good here, if only because the selection appears so lame and people discount the possibility of finding anything good. There is a bit of furniture, a lot of small kitchen appliances, a great little craft section, even a place for pet supplies. Again, I think it just looks like you won't find anything, so treasures are hidden here because no one hunts for 'em! As a bonus, prices are some of the lowest of our area thrift stores and definitely less than Goodwill.

There is the loveliest employee who always seems to be stocking the shelves. She comments on the treasures I've discovered, and has even shared cute stuff that she's just setting out. On a recent visit, when she saw my cart overflowing with mason jars, she mentioned I could ask for a box at checkout in which to take them all home. Then a second later she said, "actually, I'll go grab one and then you can just fill it up right in your cart!" I know it's a little thing, but it was much appreciated, and she certainly didn't have to do that. She's the best! Beyond that, this is THE PLACE for antique dishes and tableware. I seriously could easily buy twenty pieces every time I visit, only stopping due to my already existing and steadily growing collection. I've found a case of fantastic silver plate flatware, perfect little teacup and saucer sets, and vintage puppy statuettes. There seem to be many nice handmade pottery pieces, bronze and silverplate goodies, and really just anything you could hope to find kitchen-wise. I also bought an armchair for $1.99. Yes really. And it looks like new and is the most perfect shade of green. They only have a little space for furniture, but it is different every time, so always worth checking out, and always crazy cheap. The DVD selection is pretty great (I moved to the country and we have satellite internet with a data cap, so no streaming and I'm suddenly very I'm into DVDs again, haha!). Same goes for books. If you're searching for clothing or shoes this location, at least for me, is not the best, though decent. That's about the only negative I can give, and who cares with all the other epic treasures waiting to be discovered?

I've mostly been pretty satisfied with the amount of items they accept from me to consign (I'd say they accept at least 80% of what I've brought in), but the last time, I brought in over 30 items, most new but without tags, and they didn't accept one single item! One has to consider their current stock and think maybe they already have something like you brought in, and they didn't take? But I was bummed as I am an old lady and had to schlepp my stuff to my car from my apartment and then into the store, and then the reverse. I'm sorry to hear of the many complaints about employee attitudes here. That has not been my experience in the least! I'm always asked if I need assistance and they scramble to help me find things that are going past their consign-by date (when they would ordinarily go on sale or get donated), when I want to rescue something from them that I've consigned. I DO like to shop the discounted items in each section and appreciate how they put them on the end of each section, so I can walk down the main aisle and peruse them. These items (priced according to the current % off color that hangs from the ceiling) used to be sprinkled throughout the store and not kept together in each section, so for us bargain shoppers, this is a fantastic way to shop!

I am a dedicated thrift store enthusiast, generally seeking home décor, dishes, books and clothing, which is not really what Restore is stocking. On my first visit I left empty handed, though I saw some interesting things, and figured someday I'd get to the nitty gritty of Restore. Well, we just moved to the area, and are doing a ton of work on our property. My husband mentioned he needed some doors for our greenhouse, and I recalled seeing some at Restore, so we ended up returning just a few days following! Yeah, that's right, they have doors aplenty (like 50+), and that's just the start. We bought three doors (lol, so random), one of which is an antique farmhouse door with a giant pane of perfect glass. Swoon! Next, doorknobs for $5 and hinges for 50 cents each. My husband found several super specialty plumbing valves that retail for $250+ priced at $25 (seriously, I looked it up!). We also got a yellow fig for $5 'cause I needed a little fun! An aside regarding the plants: they get extras from nurseries, but they also get many from a local guy who just loves to grow plants, and they are gorgeous and giant! My fig was over 2 feet tall, there were huge hot pink hydrangeas, passion flower, herbs, tomatoes, etc. There is a variety of furniture, bits of flooring that would probably be enough for a bathroom remodel, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, paint, tools, hardware, appliances, etc. The store is large, easy to navigate and pretty organized, all things considered (it's still a thrift store, though!). A lot of it is used, but there are new things, too. Basically, if you are remodeling and not in search of a specific item/style/brand, Restore is the place. We are planning to build a tiny house in the future and Restore will be our go to spot. We'll look here first, then go to a big box store for anything additional. The prices can't be beat, there are some seriously unique finds, and every employee we've interacted with has been as pleasant as can be.
