I have always paid on time as I have automatic payments, my credit card expired and I had to call…read moreto register a new cc, but I didn't know this until I was receiving reminders that payment was late. My husband called the week prior to rectify the situation and left a message and the manager stated she didn't receive any message and I would be in fact receiving a late charge I called on January 5th and spoke to the manager to register my cc for automatic payment. I was told there is a 5 day grace period for late fees and part of those days included a holiday and 2 weekend days so I didn't feel I should be charged a late fee. She insisted that I would be charged the late fee bc I was late. This is how they treat customers who have never been late on a payment and who tried to contact them and they didn't return a call and then they couldn't be reached due to a holiday. The woman "managing" refused to let me speak with the owner, has a horrible attitude and is just all around an unfriendly person. There are the same sized units down the road for $37 less a month and with wayyyy nicer people to deal with. If anyone knows the owner I would love to talk to him about the customer service his customers are receiving! Now she has locked me out of my unit and I can't access my belongings, until I pay the "late fee". Is this real life?
