Jenni has been grooming my 16-year-old black pug for a while now, and I honestly couldn't be happier. My little guy has struggled with skin issues for years, especially in the wrinkles around his face. Ever since Jenni started grooming him, his skin has improved so much and is now pretty much resolved. What really stands out is how much care she puts into every visit. She takes the time to gently clean between all of his facial wrinkles instead of rushing through it, and it has made such a huge difference. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and treats them like they're her own. With a senior dog, finding someone you completely trust isn't easy, but I never have to worry when he's with Jenni. He always comes home looking great, smelling fresh, and most importantly, comfortable. Thank you, Jenni, for taking such amazing care of my old man. I can't recommend this groomer enough! If they can successfully trim the nails of my 8-pound demon Chihuahua, they can handle just about anything. For some context, my little gremlin is absolutely terrible for nail trims. At the vet, it usually takes three vet techs just to hold him still. I honestly thought no one would ever be able to do it safely. Somehow she manages to do his nail trims by herself without losing any fingers! I still have no idea how she does it, but it's seriously impressive. Patient, calm, and amazing with difficult dogs. If your pet hates nail trims, this is the place. This was only our second time bringing our 15-year-old dog, Teddy, here, and unfortunately it will be our last. Honest Groomers is literally a three-minute walk from our home, which is why we wanted to support a local business. My daughter texted ahead to ask if they had availability, and they told her to bring him in. About two hours later, she received a phone call from the person who I believe was Jen (she never introduced herself, so I can't say for certain). Instead of simply explaining that Teddy was ready, she immediately spoke to my daughter in a rude and impatient tone, saying, "I texted you 30 minutes ago." If a customer doesn't respond to a text after 30 minutes, why not simply call? People are driving, working, or may not see a text right away. A polite follow-up phone call would have been much more appropriate. We weren't expecting Teddy to be finished so quickly, so we had stepped away for lunch. Instead of handling the situation professionally, we received multiple texts that created unnecessary stress while we rushed to finish our meal. We were then told we would be charged $1 per minute for every minute Teddy remained there. I looked for this policy and could not find it posted anywhere. We were not asked to sign any paperwork acknowledging a late pickup fee, nor was this policy explained to us when we dropped Teddy off. I have the text messages documenting the entire interaction. I eventually called and spoke with Jen, who identified herself as the owner. Unfortunately, the conversation was just as unpleasant. Rather than listening to my concerns or showing any understanding, her response was simply, "Just come get him." When we arrived to pick Teddy up, Jen was again extremely rude. There was absolutely no customer service or professionalism. We make an effort to support local businesses whenever we can, which made this experience even more disappointing. I have no complaints about the grooming itself. Teddy was clean, looked great, and was well groomed. However, they charge considerably more than our previous groomer, so I expected customer service to reflect that. Instead, we left feeling anxious and rushed, trying to get to Teddy as quickly as possible. I chose not to leave a tip because, in my opinion, tips are earned through both quality service and a positive customer experience. I completely understand that this is a grooming salon, not a boarding facility, and I wasn't expecting them to watch Teddy for hours. However, the way this situation was handled left me with very little confidence. Even if there had been a genuine emergency that delayed us, I would have been uncomfortable leaving Teddy there based on how we were treated. As pet owners, we trust groomers not only with our pets' care but also with communicating professionally and showing a little compassion when unexpected situations arise. One final observation: the business did not appear to follow its posted business hours, opening later and closing earlier than advertised. Every business has the right to set its own schedule, but if the hours change, I believe they should be updated so customers know what to expect. We love supporting local businesses, but respect and communication are just as important as the quality of the service. Sadly, this experience fell far short of that expectation. We will not be returning. We'll gladly drive the extra 18 minutes back to our previous groomer, where Teddy has always been treated with care and we've always been treated with kindness and respect. read more

Finding the right groomer can be task at times . We called several groomers and they all said bring your dog in. Not even asking if our puppy was vaccinated or not . A sure sign that it's all about money didn't ask a question just bring your dog in. But at Honest Groomers What a different experience it was. They asked us about vaccinations and to bring Fresitas vaccine card with us. I like really liked that since that means they care about the dogs health. I would not recommend this business. I really wanted to support a local business but everything from their customer service to grooming is not ok. I took my dog multiple times here to give it a chance but at times (not all the time) my dog would come back with uneven hair cuts. I never complained about this because they were a new business and had new groomers. It was also close by so as long as her hair was trimmed in general I was fine with it. They would off and on say that my dog needed to be muzzled when trimming her nails which is fine because safety is first but my dog is 7 years old and I've been taking her to the groomers for all those years and no other groomer had ever complained. Again I had no issues with her being muzzled if need be. It was just somewhat questionable. What really did it for me was the fact that they cut my dog near the back of her paw and they didn't tell me!! How are you going to make that big of a mistake and not tell me?! I'm so glad I noticed it because then I was able to treat it properly. I don't want to put the groomer on the spot so I won't say her name but for the owner I would check the groomers work if possible. read more
