Our senior cat has a suuper thick coat that he tries to groom himself and we try to help him out as well with. He's fairly calm & chill,but with his age,history of health issues and elevated blood pressure that's controlled by meds..we wanted a professional to really clean him up to feel fresh & ready for the warm summer days so he doesn't overheat and gather up more dust & pollen that affects his breathing. We weren't sure how he'd react going to the groomer for a bath, full hair cut and nail trim. We brought him in with a choppy thick coat (our attempt at removing his matts from when he was ill and couldn't groom himself) and had all sorts of pollen, dust, probably leaves etc that our indoor/outdoor kitty gathers up on his coat as he roams and rolls around our yard....When we got to the groomer,the lady was so friendly and seemed to know how to gain our cat's trust. We brought our cat in on a leash with a harness but also brought the carrier as instructed. Our cat came back in a little over an hour. He was resting calmly in the carrier. And he calmly sat on their lobby couch,not panting,moaning or anything. He seemed very relaxed. His stress levels were my biggest concern and he appeared fine. He ate, drank, played and napped as he always does right after and seemed to be extra playful having lost some hair weight maybe. ...The lion cut was exactly what we wanted for him. Unfortunately my review stems from the simple fact that upon arriving to pick up my dog I was told to pay $145 instead of the original $85 due to my dog "misbehaving" and requiring two groomers to tend to him throughout his appointment. I was not contacted about my dogs behavior nor the price change. With all the good reviews I thought he'd come back looking nice, but he's simply shaven down. For the business to claim the upcharge as a result of his behavior is completely upsetting being as this statement is nowhere on their website or in stores policies. If I was contacted I would have gladly picked him up and payed them for their time. However, I was instead told to pay the $145 or they will not give me my dog back. The price reduced to $120 and I paid because I no longer wanted my dog in their possession, being as during this whole incident he was kept in the back, essentially requiring me to pay the amount in order for me to get him. Overall, super dissatisfied with the transaction and service my dog received. Definitely will not be coming back. read more

We've used Big Dogs and Cats grooming a couple of times now and so far we've been pleased with their service. We get our little guy Dusty, who is just a giant fur ball, groomed due to the matting he gets around his butt area. He's not the best at cleaning himself after restroom use and while we try to clean him with rear-end wipes his long fur makes it difficult for us to really keep him clean. Dusty is a bit shy but Jessica has been great with him the two times we have booked an appointment. We expect to continue to use their service and would recommend them to anyone within their service area. read more

DO "NOT" trust this company with your pets.. I hired them to groom my two MaineCoons. They showed up over an 1 1/2hrs late, they charged me 339.00 and ABSOLUTELY nothing had been completed. They stated they completed full services on them both but again did nothing except traumatize my cats. I had taken pictures before and after and the cats looked EXACTLY the same. The owner never told me about the extra charges nor that the groomer did not speak any English which made it completely impossible to talk about the grooming. The person whom was the communicator was rude and was not upfront about anything. I am currently in a dispute with this company. My cats are completely non responsive and are suffering from stress related issues and are no longer my big loveable cats. It has been 5 days since the grooming.
