They called me around 1 pm and said they had the wrong address so I gave them the right one and he showed up 5 minutes later. Ryan came in and checked the opener as well as the rollers, he opened and closed the door manually several times, got a ladder and went up and checked the box. He explained to me what he saw and how much it would be, gave me some options including an option of a slightly bigger spring since we were thinking of adding insulation for the same cost. Broke down each part, springs $300+, rollers $80+, and 1/2 horsepower Craftsman Opener $370+. This includes all the work and would take about 3 hours since they have to order the parts. They take half as a down payment and the rest when it's in to your satisfaction. I'm still getting quotes but it's a good 1st experience for us.

In my opinion the doors were never installed correctly. I have asked repeatedly for someone to come out and look at the issues I have with the installation and have had no luck. Last week one of the doors snapped a cable and caused the door to almost come crashing down on top of someone. These doors are 2" thick, 12'x12' and 14'x16' steel panel doors. The one that failed was 12' x12' and most likely would've killed the person or seriously injured them. In my 30 plus years, I have never seen a cable break on any overhead door, for any reason. When I spoke to the Owner (Godo) his reply was the hadn't seen that either. When asked again for someone to come out and look at the doors he sent me an invoice for over $1,500.00 to send someone out. These doors were installed one year and four days ago. I am still trying to rectify the situation. I am running out of non-litigious options. Any advice would be appreciated. I have reached out to Clopay and was told that they are only able to help with the product and not the installation. I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your garage door needs.

Well, as they say **IT HAPPENS! Let's see...one roller broke, the pin feel out. The middle bracket partially came apart when the door buckled. Both tracks were slightly out of alignment and it was not easy to get it closed until it could be repaired. The staff was great in getting the Service tech, Edison, out to diagnose and fix it. Old school values, fair pricing, and competence!…read moreMarch 2022 I had Southwestern Roofing and others bid on a large project to replace decayed wood and replace old, dilapidated siding with Hardy Plank, upgrade gutters to larger size, paint and caulk the outside of my 2-story house and rebuild damaged wood and siding around chimney to prevent rain leaking into that area. Southwestern was the only bidder who presented a professional folder stating all the services were available through them including manufacturer's' information for top grade material they used. It included BBB, Manufacturer's, and customer review letters -all were top notch rated for a business that has been active in our communities for decades. BBB was A+. (Other bidders were F's or unrated but with serious complaints of taking money and not completing work). They provided their in-house professional construction, gutter, painting, and general contractors assessments of damage and needed repairs for a one-page final estimate and were easy to work with details, suggestions, and options. All were pleasant, thorough, attentive, thoughtful, helpful, and extraordinarily accommodating. I felt safe when they were around with respect to me and my property. The construction began promptly on the appointed date and the teams worked tirelessly from early morning to late in the evening to complete all the work in a few days, stopping only to keep me informed of any needed changes or confirm open estimate items- items that could not be known beforehand but estimated prices were already on the estimate before work began. They all smiled frequently as they worked and seemed to really enjoy doing their work and pleasing the customer. The workers were friendly and if there was a language difficulty, they would quickly get another employee who could clarify the conversation to speak with me promptly. Before painting they power washed the whole house and driveway. Then painted first by spray and then a brushed and rolled on coat to assure good coverage. Again, the team was friendly, professional, and used quality products. They were happy to fix and or remove outdated items from the house. The painter cheerfully came back after it was completed to remove an overlooked item or two and to do some extra items we had agreed to after the initial plan. The gutter team was also prompt, professional and accomplished their installation quickly. They came back to address a small concern I had and adjusted the problem I had been concerned about. The best part for me personally was a door to the garage that stuck and was difficult to open all the time and no one had been able to fix it properly. Frank, the supervisor, personally fixed it so it opens and shut easily. It was a halleluiah! moment after years of suffering the inconvenience! Southwestern Roofing is highly recommended by me and other my senior citizen friends that I have referred to them. They are delighted with the work and the customer care they received. I sent them everything but didn't hear back until the next day and it was the same canned text verbiage back but they added the email address. So I sent the same thing again to the email address, 6 pictures, measurements and contact info. Crickets and tumble weeds for two days again. So I resent the email and a couple of days later finally the next day, Then finally, I get the same canned message telling me to email them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. Now I am getting worried that all my training as a CSR at AT&T's U-verse department has gone by the way side. However, I still needed my door fixed and besides they had installed it when I first got it and I knew that they would surely stand by their install. However, they never told me what they weren't getting, me I could not tell what was the problem because it all went through without bouncing back and they would only answer in canned responses and not tell me what I might have forgotten or didn't go through my message. So after checking everything out, all looked well and it had been a week now without a front door, I sent it again. A couple of days later, i get another canned message to send them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. So I sent it two more times from different email addresses thinking that maybe it's Google's fault. After not hearing again from them, I went back to texting them and explaining that I had not a clue as to what they weren't getting from my emails but that I knew that they were receiving them because I got the same canned messages back twice out of the six time that I sent it to them but they never took the time to tell me what was missing the pictures? measurements? Contact info? or what? So I finally get a personalized message with the following excuses, Excuse one: He texted back that they were on an emergency install. Excuse two: he texted me back to say that they get 40 text messages a day and they just get lost. Excuse three: finally a personalized email comes back saying that he was playing catch up after a family emergency but it would be $500. I don't know if he really had three different excuses but I got three after two weeks of not having a front door. I almost answered his email back to say that I was so very sorry about his family emergency and hope that everything was alright. But a friend stopped me and asked why was I apologizing, I didn't do anything wrong and like she said, at this point it did sounded like a scam. I was willing to pay the $500 estimate for a job that he said he never saw my emails because he lost my text messages, and/or was too busy to acknowledge my emails to explain what was missing because of an emergency install and/or the family emergency. Stick to one excuse and it might have been more believable. So there you have it folks, plenty of excuses and no door after two weeks made me decide that if it was a communication problem before the work started, I figure it was not going to get any better after the work started. So I called Doors Svc of Houston and they had the front door fixed by noon the next day and fixed my patio door handle while they were there too. I got two doors repaired for $300 less than The Door Guys were to fix just the one door.
