I don't recommend calling this business if it's in an emergency because they will not service garage doors that don't have power. Tried to get some help to fix the manual function on a garage door after the hurricane, and they refused to send a technician out to even look at the garage door to find out why the manual function wasn't working. Definitely frustrating in an emergency situation not to be able to receive help for garage door repair. They were responsive over the phone though, but called and cancelled the appt after booking and taking all our info. read more

I called 911 Garage Door repair in the middle of a weekend because I couldn't get my garage door to close, my spouse was away, and I felt certain the runners/railings needed some huge repair. (Note: my garage door wasn't installed by them.) The owner promptly answered the phone, kindly walked me through how to fix the problem, gave clear instructions and good descriptions, explained to me the cause and patiently stayed on the line until it was fixed (I had to realign my sensors) and didn't charge me or expect payment even though that door wouldn't have been fixed so quickly without his help and my family's afternoon plans would've been ruined. I used the "Request a Quote" button on three different companies at the same time. Allen called be within a half hour. After talking to me and having me run a few tests while he was on the phone with me, he tried to determine what it could be and what it would cost to fix it. I knew that it was a guesstimate and things could change. He offered to send a tech out the next day. However, my problem was not an emergency so I scheduled an appointment for a week later. If the problem was what he thought it was, the cost to fix it would be roughly $150.00 My appointment time was for 4PM. They were running a few minutes behind but were nice enough to call and let me know when they would arrive. He got to my house around 4:15. The tech that came out was very knowledgeable and did some more tests. He could not find any definite reason for the problem. He ended up performing some general maintenance on my door but did not think any of the parts that Allen had mentioned were the problem. This is not a knock on Allen. Allen was only diagnosing on the phone based upon my description. Since the technician didn't replace any parts and only performed general maintenance, he knocked the price down to less than $100. I appreciate the fact that he reduced the price when he did not have to. Time and effort are not free but he reduced it to a fair price for the work performed. Bottom line: I intentionally waited a few weeks to write this review to see if the problem would remain fixed. I have not had any problems since they came out and performed the maintenance on the door. I can easily recommend 911 Garage Door Service for your garage repair needs. Thanks for reading. read more

It is so nice to finally have come to a conclusion to the garage door opener fiasco that has been going on at my residence. Long story short - called a different service provider who also have good reviews here on Yelp to repair my garage opener. The person who took my call deserves nothing but the best; however the person that provided me the services was less than ideal. Had trouble getting to my neighborhood, slightly complained, but did his job. Payed the man thinking it was all over. Next day - opener malfunctions again. I was told the unit is likely bad which I understand. I also understood that I did not want to pay these people again for another service fee to come out and install so I decided to go with someone else instead. -Went with Home Depot, problems ensued, order kept getting cancelled. 2 weeks later I was in the same spot. PLEASE avoid Home Depot. I went with them out of supposed convenience, but have not heard great things for them outside the rave reviews online, which I still don't fully understand.- Fast forward to calling 911 Garage Door Services. My patience is already wearing thin and my service date was delayed to no fault of these guys, but they made it right by keeping me in the loop and rescheduling appropriately. The installation has been completed and believe me when I tell you the difference in professionalism is insane compared to the first guys I went with. I wouldn't recommend 911 Garage Door Service to anyone. I called to set up an appointment (01/24/22) for repairs or replacement, the tech came out and replaced the rollers because the rollers came off tracker, but this wasn't the only problem, my door wouldn't open or close with someone holding the wall mount down firmly or the remote in which I had explained this to the tech. He didn't have the correct wall mount to replace it and failed to mention the cracked retractor which cause for me to replace the whole system. 15 minutes and $300 later, they blamed me and refuses to make things right and/or give me a particle refund I will be reporting this company to the BBB. read more

Allen was personable, professional and came to my home to give me a brochure and explain the different choices available in garage door styles. I saw the door I liked on sale at home depot and he was able to *match* the same price. After the door was ordered, delivered and installed I didn't pay a dime until it was all done. I also ordered a chain-drive garage door opener and that was installed as well as the garage door. I highly recommend contacting this company with any of your garage door needs. I contacted 911 Garage Door Service to add exterior weather stripping to two of our garage doors, replace the weatherstripping on the bottom of the garage doors and to install a threshold piece on one garage door. They were quick to respond on and came out within a day to check out the job. Communication was responsive and scheduling was quick with them sending out someone to work on the next available Saturday. However, where things went awry was when they came out to perform the work. We went through a walkthrough of the scope but one thing was excluded and there was some confusion about the threshold piece. They didn't have the material to do it and refused to include it at the quoted price. The text I sent to them confirmed the work I wanted and they confirmed the scope. Me: "Brown trim around three sides of two garage doors. Customer to paint. Inspection and general maintenance on two doors. Bottom threshold install on one door and replacing bottom weatherstripping on two doors. Low XXXs (hidden) estimate." They did give me the option to back out at the time but also refused to quote or do the additional service even when I inquired about additional cost. They were already there and I just wanted the job done so we went forward. The work was completed well and quickly. The contractor they sent was professional and courteous but due to the issue of getting less than I was quoted, I'm reducing the rating down some. read more

I used to truly trust this garage door service company. They installed our garage door many years ago and have done repair work. I started to lose trust in them when we were having trouble getting the garage door to open. First they told me it would be almost $200 to reprogram the remotes. I declined, did it myself after googling it (it takes about 5 minutes). The problem remained. They then claimed I needed entirely new sensors installed, which would again be very costly. I declined, went and checked the wiring for my sensors, and just adjusted it slightly. They worked fine after that. I was very disappointed that I was told two different times that we would need a costly repair, and neither time it was even the problem. We used them once over the summer to repair the door that came off the tracks. Within two months, it was off the track again. I'm going to find a new company because I don't feel I can trust these guys anymore. read more

Called them on a Thursday for a broken automatic gate. The next day they called to say repairman on his way for our broken garage. They were told not a garage but a gate so they had to reschedule to get a gate person to answer the call. The next day their gate person arrived with no tools! He had to borrow a phillips screwdriver and another smaller screwdriver from my spouse in order to open the control box. After a lengthy conversation with Liftmaster, it was determined to be a battery problem. He did not have the correct batteries with him and told my spouse he would see us "first thing in the morning with the batteries". He collected a $200 check and we have not seen him since. It has been five days since we initially called them and during that time - they sent out the wrong repair person; sent out another repair person with no tools and to date, we still have a broken gate and are out $200.
