Bakery across the street from restaurant
    Pamela G.

Wow! This place was great -- we had an incredible lunch and enjoyed every bite. We reserved a table, seated right away. It was busy and noisy but ok. The good was the star. We had an eggplant roasted with tahini on a jewel rice salad with bits of cranberry and diced squash - so good. And the sea bream was excellent- served with fennel and potatoes in a great sauce. Service was excellent. Highly recommend. And the bakery across the street was wonderful treats as well.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a mid-morning "Big Breakfast" at Honey & Co. I was so looking forward to this meal and it did not disappoint. I love an Israeli breakfast and this was a perfect bespoke version of one! The mezze course was exceptional. The scrambled eggs were a great variation and the Spinach Bureka with fried eggs was absolutely delicious. I was so enamored, I bought a cookbook too!

The delicious mezze spread from the Winter Sharing Menu.

I knew from the moment I walked in, that Honey & Co was going to be the kind of place I liked. Small, friendly space and a short menu are both things that to me promise a good dining experience, and I was not disappointed! My friend and I were feeling indulgent and hungry so we opted for the winter sharing menu, which started with a cascade of tiny portions of all the mezze plates- green falafel, hummus, beet salad, curd cheese with quince, labneh, and a bread selection of pitas and rolls. Everything in the mezze was fantastic, especially the green falafel which I'd never had before, and the curd cheese with hazelnuts and fruit. A few unique flavors on the table, and all good ones. This, however, was only the appetizer. What then followed were two delicious meat dishes, the Royal Mansaf lamb and the Musakhan chicken baked in flatbread. It was the Musakhan that stood out to me with melt in your mouth slow cooked chicken and a dark but sweet contrasting note of pomegranate molasses. I could eat that every day for a week and not be tired of it! For such a small restaurant the service was a little slow albeit friendly, and it was very busy the whole time we were there. Multiple walk-ins were turned away, so we were happy we had placed a reservation. I would highly recommend Honey & Co, and will definitely be back if I have the opportunity.

Wanted to try a different breakfast option while in London and this breakfast was different from what we are used to, not in a bad way, just different spices we aren't used to. We were looking for a breakfast with a kick and this breakfast has that. The other thing that was attractive about this restaurant was their cheese cake, which was out of this world, (just ask them how its made.) What was ordered was the Shakshuka, thinking we were going to get some the same flavors as Huevos Rancheros back home, haha!! NOT!! This dish did have a kick to it, but with different spices for sure. It will light up your palete. Not sure I would order it again, but it was good nonetheless. The cheese cake was the star, the service was also welcoming and great. I recommend making reservations though. This place is small.

Redefined Middle Eastern food with a modern upscale context. Place is cozy and intimate. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. The hummus with broad beans was phenomenal (5/5). It was light and surprisingly the right amount of pita (surprising cause it was a few slices) but with all the vegetables it was quite filling. The chicken dumpling (4.5/5) was light but very filling. It was beautifully presented and had lots of flavor with different textures worked in given the diversity of what's in the bowl. The mint tea (4.5/5) was refreshing. Would come back again!

I came here for breakfast during the week. I really liked the Spinach Skakshuka! I love that they give out recipe cards along with your receipt!

    Shashuka

This place is a little small, but it's very popular. We came on a Monday morning for breakfast and we were surprised when they asked if we had a booking. They did have one table available, which they said we could use until their reservation arrived which wasn't for another hour, so that was fine. My husband and I both ordered the Shashuka; there's two different versions on the menu so we ordered one of each to share. I had the green one which came with much better bread on the side than his, but I think I preferred the zest of the original Shashuka. The green one was a little bland. There's no salt or pepper on the table either. Unfortunately, I barely ate mine because the eggs were completely runny even though we asked for them not to be (on both). I can't have runny eggs right now, so I ended up switching with my husband because his was made to order correctly. No one ever checked up on us, so I couldn't mention it. The food was okay, but it was disappointing about the runny eggs. Also, the price is really high for the portion size! The dish is quite small and it's only served with a tiny piece of bread on the side with a little dip. They offer a 19 pound Big Breakfast too, which is quite expensive as well, but I'm guessing at least that would hopefully fill you up. The tables here are super small though. I saw one couple order it and the Big Breakfast wouldn't fit at their table. They had to move their coffees and a few items up onto a high up counter near their table. It was sort of ridiculous. I wouldn't come here again -- at least definitely not for breakfast. I'm not sure I get the hype. It is unique as I've never had a Middle Eastern breakfast before and I loved the idea of the dish, but the high prices and poor execution kind of ruined this for me. I left hungry since my husband was already half way through his dish before we saw how runny my eggs were. The menu is also incredibly small too. There's only a few items on the breakfast menu, so there wasn't much choice at all. I'm waffling between 2 and 3 stars, but in Yelp's words "meh...I've experienced better" really sums up my experience.

Very nice meal for the four of us at reasonable cost- fresh flavors, light vegetable dishes, chicken and beef not heavy but rather flavorful. We had a fried artichoke on yogurt that was delightful, almost pakora from Indian restaurants in terms of texture. Enjoyed the Auberg ones and tomato/onions/mint dish. Also loved the garlic chicken. Husband has the beef kofta- I enjoyed the tomato and capsicum/peppers with it more than the beef which I thought was a bit "burger" ish. We did t have a reservation on a Saturday about 6:30, ended up outside. We stayed warm enough. Service was friendly. Almond cake was fragrant. Quiet neighborhood. I'd happily recommend.

Everything was so delicious! Wish I had this restaurant in Florida. The labaneh appetizer was amazing with the biscuits. The saffron poached pear salad was great. The madfunia chicken with the chestnuts and dried fig was also outstanding. I loved the balance with the crispy top layer. The aubergine was really good too but not my favorite compared to all the other dishes we ordered. I am not a cheesecake fan, but the waiter convinced me to try their version of it and it was surprisingly very tasty and unique. All dishes had so much flavor and I could eat them over and over again!

    Mezze from The Big Breakfast

Stumbled onto and into this place by sheer luck; it happened to be around the corner from the hotel we were staying in. The space is cozy and the food is delicious, so that's a win-win in my book, with added points for the multiple veggie options they have. Was flying solo for breakfast, but that didn't stop me from getting The Big Breakfast, which came with multiple mezze and a main...more than enough food to fill me up for the entire day. In fact, I ate six hours ago, walked five+ miles and I'm still stuffed. The aforementioned food was fantastic, especially the hummus and eggplant and tomato mezze; the sabich main was equally delicious, though I could've used a tad less tahina (the eggplant was drowning in it). The service was equally cheery and no one rushed me out the door; all bonus points for this jaded New Yorker. Thanks for the delicious memories!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!! A BEWARE A LOT OF THE REVIEWERS IN UK GIVE UNRELIABLE REVIEWS. Firstly, i found this restaurant because its around my area and it received the michelin plate award. I was like wow not bad maybe i should try it since michelin gave this as a recommendation. Overall, the dinner experience was just okay in my opinion. The appetizer costed around £11 each; the main dish costed around £22 each; the dessert costed £8 each. Nevertheless, for it to be worth, i got the set menu, which consists of the appetizer, the main dish and the dessert, with the price of £39, and you can opt out the dessert to deduct the price to £34. By looking from the outside and judging the $$ sign from google, i did not expect the food to be this expensive. So let's dive into it. Appetizer: The appetizer consists of different small appetizer middle eastern food that allows you to try different range of the middle eastern food. Some of the appetizer are quite good and some are not. Trust me i have tried a lot of middle eastern food to know which one is good. Main: The main was just below okay in my opinion. This is when i know the chefs are really trying so hard to make the dish beautiful and to be creative. I got the lamb and the aubergine. I am so sorry chef but you are really trying too hard please do not try to hard because you are actually ruining the dish that was perfectly better. Adding pomegranate does not make the dish more beautiful and perfectly ruin the food chef. You are ruining the taste. Pomegranate does not fit with lamb and aubergine. Dessert: This is what made me turn around from getting two stars to three stars. I got the cheesecake. In my opinion, the feta cheesecake was super amazing. It is not easy to make me like dessert, and it was not easy to make feta cheesecake since i have tried a lot of scaled up restaurants who have ruined this. Nonetheless, if the chef was not trying to be over creative, i would easily give this a four stars since the cheesecake was super good. Using marjarom gives the cheesecake a bitter taste, and using blueberry gives the cheesecake a sour taste. Do not be over creative trying to mix all flavours for dessert please. A dessert is called to clean your mouth for a reason. I'd recommend changing your blueberry to the sweet blueberry and the marjarom with mint leaves so that they would blend more perfectly. I hope you hear this advice if you want to be better, but if you think you are the best well good for you. Summary: Overall, the overall experience was just okay. My waiter, Guilherme, has been very helpful though props to him for the lovely service. Nevertheless, the experience was too overpriced and not worth it. Furthermore, if you want to keep your status as a good restaurant, please reply to all your reviewers. You will thank me later. Nonetheless, I would only recommend people to come here for the cheesecake and nothing else, and if they hear me out fixing the cheesecake, maybe i will go back in the future. Cheers! I hope you guys listen, and i hope this review help.

    Meat hummus

Our group of seven was ravenous when we arrived at tiny Honey & Co. Thankfully, they were ready for us! The set dinner menu (£26.5/per person) took the guesswork out of our evening meal. It's a great way to go if you've got a group. You'll get a selection of bread with olive oil, homemade pickles and kalamata olives and a bunch of mezzes to shares like hot tomatoes with Manouri cheese and mint, hummus, falafel, lebeneh and watermelon and feta salad. And then everyone gets to pick their own main. I'd definitely recommend the lamb shawarma as a main. The meat was crazy tender and I enjoyed the elevated and deconstructed presentation (lamb in its own little pot with plenty of yogurt and pomegranate seeds on top, toasted pita in the middle, cabbage and tomates in a small bowl on the other side). And I wasn't the only one who enjoyed it, my colleagues enthusiastically dug into my plate too! If you're in the mood for a fresh take on food from the Middle East, you can't go wrong at homey Honey & Co.!

shakshuka (£9.50) - 2 Cornish farm eggs baked in a tomato sauce served with coriander zehug & milk bun

One of my favorite brunch spots in London! Super cute, quaint, and cozy. On our visit to Honey & Co, my parents and I ordered the sabich and the shakshuka, both really good vegetarian dishes. However, dessert was easily the best part of the meal. I would come back again and again for that feta & honey cheesecake. The plum, pistachio, coconut & almond cake from the daily cake display was just as mind-blowing.

Here's what we ordered and enjoyed most: Thyme kellaj: crisp, filled with delish zaatar, perfect for me Hummus: creamy dream, perfectly balanced Labneh: thick, creamy, dreamy. Chicken Fallouj: huge portion. Perfectly cooked, no dryness and full of flavor. Went very well with the labneh. Falafel: crispy, BIG, but not as big on the flavor as I was expecting. Did like that it came with a tahini sauce and pickled turnips which cut the heaviness. Actually wouldn't get again because the other items filled me right up. The only "miss" of the meal for me. Passion fruit martini is a MUST get for you fruity drink people. Really tasted like passion fruit. The old fashioned is a miss for my husband -- he couldn't explain why but he just wasn't into it. Please note that this restaurant is in a smaller space so you probably would need a reservation on weekends.

The beans (foul) were my favorite. The baba ganoush lacked the smoky flavor that I usually love about it. But everything else was tasty and hit the spot after a day of playing tourist in London. Service was swift and nice. I would certainly come back again.
