I had squash casserole, very good fried Chicken and green beans....spicy corn bread. Everything was REALLY good and seasoned. It was so good to met up with my family members and have lunch.

This is absolutely love place to eat at. I love the verses on the walls and made sure to get a few pictures of them. The line was very long but I was going to order out so it was quick to get my order in. The food was absolutely delicious especially the roast beef with gravy and sweet potato casserole. I can't wait to come here again just be sure to get here really early to avoid a long line. :)

Bottom line: the real deal kind of veggies and home-cooking. Not much else to say. If you're in Augusta on a weekday at lunchtime, just go. The restaurant is run by a church, and the walls are plastered with bible quotes. It's namesake is from Psalms. Out-of-town foodies looking for an "experience" in addition to a good meal will find just that at this Deep South, Bible Belt restaurant.

Amazing home cooked southern food served by the sweetest people - you can't beat Honey from the Rock's southern cooking and hospitality. You order from a line full of delicious looking dishes and I love how the dessert part is smack dab in the front of the line so you can't resist. Their menu changes each day of the week so there's always new dishes to try!

Never had a bad meal here. Everything from the roast beef pictured to the baked chicken to the meat loaf. The sides are amazing especially the broccoli casserole and squash casserole. Everyone is always friendly. Good portion of food for the price. If you want to treat yourself, get a slice of their cake. Many flavors to choose from.

Serving real southern cooking prepared fresh daily. No Canned stuff here. Their specialties include homemade ice cream; churned on location, chicken n' dumplings , sweet potato casserole, mouth watering meat loaf, salad bar, and much more! Love the desserts. To many good choices to narrow down to 1 meat and 3 veggies. The people are extra friendly! You will not be disappointed. Monday - Friday Lunch 11:00AM - 2:00PM Cash and Credit Cards Accepted

I was only in Augusta for three days and hoping to find some southern comfort food. This fit the bill. It's like potluck Sunday with the family. All your favorite dishes that you can choose as you go like meatloaf, sweet potato pie, delicious broccoli casserole and don't forget dessert...key lime pie, German chocolate cake and many more! I wish I was staying longer because I'd eat here again tomorrow. It's only open for a couple of hours and it can be crowded, so come early!

Alright, so this is one of those types of places where upon entering you see the cafeteria style line and immediately think, "dang it, all these good yelp reviews and turns out I got tricked into eating cafeteria food!" Fear not, this is not the case once you have received your delicious food items. I went with the fried tenderloin, which was fried to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also got the fried okra, which was also fried to perfection and had a great combination of both okra and the fry. On to the chicken and dumplings, which were magical. The chicken and dumplings were well prepared, and the flavor was right on. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also delicious, but getting mashed potatoes and gravy with fried pork tenderloin should be a no brainer. So, overall, the place was really yummy, and I'd suggest the place to others.

Came here with a friend for lunch and was not disappointed. I am glad I don't live over here and that my work schedule only allows me to eat here about once a year or once every six months because while it's not the healthiest, it's so good. This time I ordered an entree instead of the meat with two veggies plate. It was a little higher priced, but I was fine with it. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it came with corn bread and I ordered a vegetable, as well. The shrimp and grits was everything I would want shrimp and grits to be. They had little pieces of bacon in it and the cheddar grits were wonderful. The cornbread was good and so were the fried green tomatoes, like I remembered them to be. I will be back next year! The service is also always great.

What a wonderful experience, the entire time I was greeted with a smile. It's a cafeteria style set up when you pick your dessert, main option and sides. I chose the chicken livers which were very good and the okra was some of the best I've had and you can definitely tell that those green beans had some butter in them. The banana pudding had a lovely marshmallow topping on top. The waitresses were extremely attentive and very friendly. This place is so quaint while you're eating your meal you hear the soft tone of gospel music in the air.

    Red velvet cake....soooo good!

Yelp nudged us toward New Moon Cafe, and while the signage from the street is minimal enough that we almost walked past it, we eventually found our way inside and were glad we did. At 12:30 on a Saturday the timing worked in our favor. We stepped right up to the counter with no queue at all, placed our order, and settled in. By the time our food arrived about fifteen minutes later, the line had grown to the point where people were waiting nearly that long just to order, which gave the whole place that lively, slightly chaotic weekend energy without ever feeling rushed. Mrs. K chose the smoked salmon bagel, which came out panini pressed, a small twist on a classic that she enjoyed. I am still keeping things keto, so the chef's salad with blue cheese was exactly what I needed, a generous portion that felt balanced and satisfying without pushing me off track. They offer plenty of coffee drinks and smoothie combinations, but we kept things simple and were perfectly happy with our choices. There is outdoor seating if that is your preference, and the whole experience had that relaxed, local charm that makes Augusta lunches feel unhurried even when the dining room is filling up around you.
