Good bbq dinner with a colleague tonight. One of the more popular dining options in the south is BBQ. This one we chose tonight is a small chain, but offers an excellent bbq dining option. It's not a sitdown restaurant. You place your order at the counter then go find a place to eat. They bring out the food to you. Once you sit down, you're served with a plate of warm biscuits. There's some sort of cheese or something inside them, but it wasn't a distracting ingredient, just different. You always like it when you get the opportunity to try multiple types of bbq meat. The option for tonight was bbq rib and pulled pork. Not only are the portions very good. (had to get a to go box) but both meats tasted super. The pulled pork was tender and juicy. The ribs were large and plentiful. The ribs could've been a little more "fall off the bone", but we're good nonetheless. There's only one type of sauce to put on the ribs, but it was a good and not too tangy. With this meal option, you get two choices of sides. Being a big fan of coleslaw that was one side. The other side was corn on the cob. The coleslaw was sweet tasting. The corn on the cob had a bit of a hot bite to it. Both were fantastic. Thought to go with the sweet tea option, but since I had it earlier in the day, I chose otherwise. read more

Traveling and stopped for early dinner. We've been to Jim and Nicks in other locations before. This is the newer walk-thru and order style and they bring it to your table. Staff was friendly and establishment was clean. Ordered a couple pulled pork sandwiches, one with fries and the other with baked beans. Also came with 4 cheddar rolls. Both sandwiches were of good value and size. I prefer a hotter sauce than the regular bbq available on the tables. If you're the same, I highly recommend you request their sweet and spicy (habanero) sauce. It is perfect for this sandwich. Overall a great experience and so very tasty. So we wanted to try something new and this was always a let's try one day so we did. Just coming in was really nice and felt comfy. The service was amazing and "Ariel" was my favorite. She heard yelling to my husband about getting more cheese biscuits and she was awesome and for us more and I devoured those. We got the pulled pork plate with baked beans and potato salad and the hub got 1lb ribs with flavored corn and Mac and cheese. Everything was so goof and flavorful. The only thing was our meat was hardly even Luke warm so that was a bummer but still was delicious. We would definitely come back here on service alone. Really enjoyed my experience dining at this restaurant. I thought the price was a little steep, but the quality and taste of their products were worth it. I got their two meat sampler combo of the brisket and grilled chicken. The brisket was so soft, it just melted apart. The chicken was a little too dry for my taste, but I did enjoy the grilled after taste. Their corn bread muffin, least I think that what it was that comes with your entrees was delicious! It had some melted cheese on top and the two side that paired really well was their chili and Mac and cheese. Their chili has chunks of brisket inside and it wasn't spicy or anything. Really enjoyed the meal, definitely will be back if I'm craving bbq again. Highly recommend this place. Plenty of parking and the lines aren't that long. The orders do take about 15 minutes to process, so I recommend calling ahead. For dining in, there are plenty of tables and tvs to provide entertainment. My husband ordered baby back ribs, Mac and cheese. He enjoyed his meal as well. This is a nicer casual diner where you pay before eating. Although we didn't order any alcohol, the bar area is very nice. They have coat/purse hooks and cozy ambiance. The bartender was very friendly and she held open the front door for us and checked with customers to see if they needed anything since it was early and the bar was not busy yet. I've been there four times in the last two months for dinner. They have been out of brisket every time. Probably won't go back again.

Door dashed it. The food was still warm when received. I enjoyed the 1/4 dark meat barbecue with baked beans and fries. I was very tasty, the meat was smoked through and through and the beans were savory with a slightly smoked taste and not sweet (thank goodness). Same as everyone else...I love the cheese rolls here! Be warned that they are addictive and will keep you coming back for more. I love the loaded baked potato here...I always sub for brisket instead of the pork bbq because that's just my preferred cut. It does cost extra. Never tried it with the pork bbq bit would never go back...the combination of the brisket tips with crispy bacon is perfect with the soft fluffy baked potato. Comes with 2 cheese rolls...and I'll usually order an extra half-dozen. The brisket by itself is tender and flavorful...also really like the chicken Jalepeno sausage...they sell them as add-on by the link now so I don't have to buy weight-based. I usually get the potato every 1-2 weeks. I always say I'll try something different...but never really stray away from this potato. I try loaded ones from other places but its never the same....Even got my coworkers hooked on it. Hubby gets the pork BBQ and it's pretty good...tender and flavorful. You order at a counter and it's fast casual - the food was delivered by friendly servers fairly quickly. You get your own drinks at a fountain. Wings were good - honey habanero were the best - not too spicy but a nice sweet heat. The glaze gave it a nice texture too. The buffalo were a bit dry - not a wet sauce, per se. A decent blue cheese accompanied along with a few slivers of carrots and celery. My dining mates liked their pulled pork and we all had some little cornbread (?) muffins. The onion rings were okay - it was a different batter; almost like a panko? But they were crispy and held together nicely through a bite. I was craving some bbq and wanted to try out this new spot in town.Ssome people have told me it's good at the other locations they've been to so I was excited to try this. We got the 3 meat platter with the pulled pork, mixed fatty and lean brisket, and bbq chicken, along with Mac and cheese and fries. I thought the pulled pork didn't have much flavor, and the brisket was okay, but surprisingly my favorite was the chicken. It was tender and well smoked. The flavor was great! There wasn't enough room for us to sit together inside so we were seated on the patio which is not ideal during pollen season but the outdoor tables and seating had been cleaned pretty well so it ended up not being too bad. They did have outdoor heaters that they turned on at our request. The service was professional and polite. The food was better than expected. They had gluten-free options. I had the JNN Classic Pulled Pork with two sides of fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was actually cold and fresh, which didn't seem to happen often at restaurants. Fresh fruit was strawberries, blueberries and green grapes. The pulled pork was generously sized and was moist, but didn't come with much sauce. I came here around lunch time and as I would expect this place was packed! The parking lot was very busy so my wife had to park next door but it looks busier than it is due to the drive thru. There was about a 20 minute wait but it went by fine since I was presented with a menu to look over while I waited. It is an order at the counter and sit down with a table number type place that I wasn't expecting but it helps speed up the ordering process when it's busy. The manager asked my wife and I if we wanted to sit at the bar and order food instead of the line and I am glad we did because the bar area is very nice and we were able to order like a tradition restaurant and grab a few drinks while we were lucky to have great outdoor weather. We order the brisket chili cheese wedges which were huge potato wedges covered in flavor! My wife and I each got different pork to share, the traditional and the Carolina. Both were fantastic and the flavors were good, nothing crazy but what I would expect for pork from a bbq place. The Mac and cheese side was super good, I highly recommend getting that paired with the baked beans. All in all this is a great spot, I have nothing bad to say and would absolutely go back for another round of new food options. Food: My wife ordered the three (3) meats plate consisting of Pork Ribs, Brisket and Pulled Pork. I ordered the two meat plate consisting of Brisket (my favorite) and BBQ Chicken. Our sides were Mac and Cheese, Bar-B-Q Corn on the Cobb and Deviled Eggs. The Brisket was sliced thin, lean, tender and complimented with a good sauce. The Chicken was moist, tender and flavorful. The Bar-B-Q Corn on the Cobb reminds me of Street Corn... tender and tasty. The Mac and Cheese was a good side. Oh, the Cheese Muffins were delicious! When rating BBQ in the city with WBBQ, one should be a BBQ connoisseur. I am not as evidenced by my choice of Carolina Mustard BBQ sauce. But I did like the food. It was good. The BBQ here is amazing. It's a regional chain, but you'd never guess it was "chain" food. I highly recommend the pulled pork. The brisket and ribs have a heavy smoke flavor, but they are so good. Ordered to-go after some of the new restaurant hype died down. My mom really had been wanting to try and we figured it would be okay. It was that, just okay. Sandwiches are on the smaller side for pulled pork (not pictured) but tasty nonetheless. The sauces we got were fine, wish I had gotten some different ones honestly. The sides are a little laughably small for what I expected but the flavor was there while they lasted. Cheese biscuits were a little strange and spongey, one bite size. The to-go process was simple, order was ready on time. The employee I encountered was pleasant. The restaurant was clean and decently busy. Barbecue franchises make me nervous. I'm looking for a cinder block building, the size of a small shed, with smoke rolling from the top and an aroma that beckons even the strongest of vegetarians. But I knew their origin was in Alabama so I had to believe they would remain true to their roots. And thankfully, those roots were right on point. As I entered the parking lot, I found the smoke and aroma awaiting me. And I want to mention that the parking lot operates as one big circle so if you don't find a spot just make a loop. Immediately my eyes were drawn to the Anthony Bourdain quote painted on one wall, "Barbecue may not be the road to world peace, but it's a start." I soon discovered the covered outdoor seating (with ceiling fans and heat), but opted for inside on my first visit. I did not realize, but you place your order then find a seat. And there is plenty of signage to remind you of that. Now let me add, in case that seems like a deal breaker for you, that they have staff walking around checking on you once you're seated. My go-to is always pulled pork, baked beans, and slaw. This time I splurged and ordered peach tea, which they were out of but the sweet tea was on point (aka, syrup through a straw). When it's all said and done, I would place them above a number of other franchise spots but I still like my hole-in-the-wall joints. I was writing a review for this restaurant and it went away. I drove 45 minutes to this restaurant today to buy a chocolate pie. A whole pie. When we got to the order window in the drive through, we were told we could not order a whole pie in the drive through. Even though it is right there on the menu and a little over $27.00. Then, even though I had asked what the seasonal pie is , I was told they don't have one. I was then told we have to order whole pies 2 days ahead of time because of inventory. Wait, what???? They have the pie in the store, but they can't sell it. But, they can sell slices, and then the person told me hang on they do have a seasonal pie, it is shortcake.... So, we ordered 3 slices, and waited and waited....cars ahead of us of course. Then when we asked the young lady standing the rain why we could not order a whole pie off the menu right there, as it is ON the drive through menu, she said something about inventory and to just let a customer know what might be available to order.....and then asked if it made sense, and we both said NO! It must be in invisible ink that you have to order 2 days ahead. We even asked if we could come in and get a pie, but we were told the 2 day thing, again. So, a long drive in the rain to get a pie that costs almost $30.00 per the drive up menu that does not say it has to ordered 2 days in advance SUCKED! read more

Ate there the other night and was very disappointed. Purchased the nachos. The chicken was chopped to the consistency of saw dust. Only included chips, cheese the chicken dust and crema-- no pico, nothing else. And the chips were very hard. Would not order again. A friend of mine ordered the fish sandwich and Mac and cheese. When asked how good it was--they said they should have stopped at McDonald's// their fish is better, and the Mac and cheese tasted just like Marie Callender's frozen entree. My other friend wanted pulled pork, but was told none was available. Service was also subpar at best. Not a good overall experience, especially for the price--over $60.
