I will note that some of the tables are pretty wobbly. The waffle was this nothing to write home about. I probably wouldn't get one again. A nice coffee shop in a town that has limited coffee locations. It is rare to see bubble waffles sold anywhere, so that was a nice treat. I just wish they were served with syrup or something else to make them less dry. There is ample seating inside, and we had nice service. This place is small but cute. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the snickerdoodle latte and it was SO yummy! Def lived up to its name. Coupled with their special bubble waffle of the day, the coffee was smooth and complex. Just adding to the pop of flavors from the waffle. I also appreciate that the seating area is slightly removed from the barista station. Barista noted the individual's order as she delivered the drinks. The only missed mark as my husband's extra-hot hot chocolate was closer to tepid. If we were locals, Honey Moon would be our local business. I had the red, white, and blue named aptly for the blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream adorning my lightly crisp waffle. I have been meaning to try their coffee for some time; I heard they had a wonderful Ethiopian coffee. First, because of their location - across from the university - parking is limited to a few spots. I had to park down the street at the Chinese restaurant. Once in, I was disappointed to find they were not serving the requested coffee, but a house blend that I was told contained the Ethiopian. It was pretty good but I really wanted the Ethiopian. They did have bags of the Ethiopian for sale, but were not serving as an option. On a side note, once I got home and added some amaretto-flavored cream, it was really an amazing blend with that hint of cherry. I also tried a few pastries - chocolate and banana and banana nut. Both good, but I wished I would have requested them to be heated. I guess if I want to try the Ethiopian, I'm going to have to buy a bag and brew it myself. The Purple Ace Latte has a wonderful soft sweetness to it that made it super easy and smooth to drink. My go to food option is the Savory Waffles, which has egg/cheese on top of a sweet waffle (with bacon, which I didn't order because I'm a vegetarian). Try this with syrup and Sriracha Aioli on the side and you'll be very satisfied. Love the little orbs of light hanging from the ceiling and the soft music selections. Gets a bit cold at times and is slightly pricey for non-coffee items; those are probably my two big critiques. I found this place when I needed a shot of coffee in the late afternoon. I came here with my wife and her family and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of coffee. I got the honey brew (cold brew) and really enjoyed it. I felt there was just enough honey to make it sweet if you need it. I typically drink it black and unsweetened but I felt this was good. It was also good since it was a cold coffee and not hot on a hot day. I then came back Sunday morning and got the regular house blend. I felt that it was very good and would go back. I also got the banana honey nut crunch muffin. Yes, it was good and a good pairing with the black coffee. I even bought a bag of the house we blend to take home. I really appreciate that it is whole bean coffee instead of ground coffee in the bag. If I am ever here (and I don't plan to be) I would come here. read more
