I was hoping to find a local place to get my eyebrows waxed instead of going into Milwaukee, but I don't think I'll be back. I understand it's a nail salon, but the chemical smell was pretty awful and overwhelming. The girl at checkin was hard to understand, and the lady who actually did my brows didn't seem to speak much English at all. Not a single question about how I want my eyebrows done, and since I didn't think she would understand, I didn't try to explain. I thought about leaving before she could actually start the process... I like my brows to be clean but natural, and I did end up with a much thinner result than I prefer, I'm sure simply because there was no communication. read more

This was my second time at Honey Nail Spa. The first time was their opening weekend and it was wonderful and I felt relaxed and pampered. Today I felt rushed and stressed. I scheduled a pedicure and from the start she was short with me and felt rushed. I was ushered to the chair and no question about temp of the water, length of the nails, if I wanted something to drink, etc. The trimming felt a bit rough and I flinched a few times. The massages also were quick and no checks for my comfort. She painted my nails and as I had regular polish instead of gel, I was sitting for a few minutes to let it dry and she literally put my purse on her shoulder and ushered me to the front desk to pay. I had to wait several minutes while she stood nearby before I could pay anyway so I'm unsure what the rush was. No spray to dry my nails quicker either. Neither she nor the person at the front who took payment asked how the service was, I felt like people getting manicures seemed to be treated much more positively than me. I then left and got home and immediately two of my nails got ruined so I had to repaint them anyway. Overall, I'm disappointed and not sure if I will go back as I'm someone who goes when I want to treat myself and this was not relaxing at all. The spa is clean though... read more

Newly opened business! First time customer. I've been looking for a nail salon to frequent and I think I just found one! Salon is clean and bright and staff friendly unlike some of the salons I have tried in the area. I pay very close attention to the robustness of a salons sanitation practices. I was impressed that the footbaths had a plastic liner in them. The baths were also disinfected. Utensils used were individually wrapped packages. I made an appointment using their online scheduling system. They were able to accommodate some walk-in customers while I was there. My appointment was for a pedicure. The technician was very thorough and I was actually very surprised at how much time she spent on my pedicure. She was meticulous. I did not feel like I was in an assembly line like in some salons. The pedicure chairs are the Cadillac of chairs! I didn't want to leave it! I was so happy with my pedicure that I asked if they could accommodate me by giving me a manicure. I had my nails dipped and polished and was very happy with the result. The salon provides punch cards which will earn you a discount at a certain point. We moved to Mukwanago recently and I needed to find a new nail salon. Chackled the reviews and website and easily made an appointment for acrylic fills and gel polish. Receptionist was very nice and helped me find the right color ( I am sight impaired). The spa is clean and bright and the staff friendly. Sony took his time and did an amazing job! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Unfortunately, there is a laundry list of things wrong with this salon: * Very dirty environment: Dirty towels, floors aren't swept after service and nail techs aren't using clean tools * No point in making appointments. I've witnessed others and myself have had to wait 30+ minutes for appointment to starts because the techs took in walk-in's instead * I had gel manicure and came in for a refill. The nail tech dremeled down the present gel and applied acrylic instead of doing a full gel set, without asking. The nail tech didn't properly cure the gel on top of the acrylic, so it rubbed off the next day and I had to come in to get it fixed. Both days, both nail techs dremeled my cuticles, causing my nail beds to bleed. Very poor technique and untrained nail techs * Finally, I was charged $45 for a gel refill. I gave the cashier $100 and she gave me $45 in change. When I explained to her I should be receiving $55 she lied and said she gave me $55, even though I clearly had $45 in change in my hand. She refused to listen and I left being overcharged for a service Overall, very unprofessional service and seem to have untrained nail techs. Would highly recommend going to a place in Waukesha before coming to this salon. Definitely the worst nail salon I've been to! read more

GREAT service! (and no one asked me to write this review! :) I went on a Sunday (and it is amazing they were even open on a Sunday when many other nail salons are closed!) I was impressed.. I was able to get in quickly when I called for an appt. I had a pedicure (and manicure) at the same time with 2 different nail techs (so my visit was quicker than expected). They did a great job and my nails still look great! I am so happy they moved into the community.. we needed a place like this! They were so nice and I'll be back! :) read more

Having gone to Honey Nails several times since it has opened, I find the techs to be very talented in the services they offer! Such a nice atmosphere and such courteous and fun people working there. I met Cindy, the manager and she was very experienced and knowledgeable. She explained the difference between gel and dip and offered suggestions for different methods. They are very thorough, and take time during each appointment. My suggestion to new clients would be to make an appointment, instead of walking in as they are now becoming well known and popular in the Mukwonago area! and read more

I booked online for a new set of Gel-x for 10am the day before my appointment, when I arrived to my appointment I was told I needed to wait because the only nail artist that knew how to do Gel-x nails had not arrived yet. Half an hour later my nail artist arrived and sat down to do my nails. I specified with her that I did want the Gel-x and not acrylics and she had proceeded to apply acrylics to my nails and told me it was Gel-x (it was just acrylics with gel polish). I had a simple abstract design and a few pictures to reference from, and she switched two nails without asking (painted one nail with the other nail's design). When I pointed that fact out she said "it doesn't need to be exactly like the picture" she attempted to paint the colors differently from the picture multiple times, claiming it didn't need to be exactly the same, yet not asking me to change the design I showed her. After she was finished she grabbed my hands and took pictures of my nails (without my permission) I understand the notion of having a rough day, but with the constant mistakes, the free styling, and straight up not giving me what I asked (and paid) for, I would consider this experience a negative one and felt the needed to to caution others. read more
