I hired them to put insulation/weatherstripping around 3 exterior doors. And to hang doors over a utility closet. When it was all over - no weatherstripping around any exterior doors, front door deadbolt would no longer work and the utility walls and doors are uneven and bowed. A complete mess. And, it was pricey. I wish I had figured out that the new owner, Stuart, was not the same owner that had received previous good reviews. I worked with Stuart, Joesph and a carpenter that did not believe in reading instructions or using a level. And, I have the shoddy work to prove it. Would not use this business again. read more

Have a small deck that runs from our back patio around to our driveway. It was due for some maintenance since its last staining. Joesph Moore from HoneyDude gave us a quote, which we felt was fair. We purchased the 3 gallons of new stain and turned them over to Joseph. He seemed like a nice kid and had fixed a drawer in our kitchen two days prior. He pressure washed the deck, sanded it and stained it all in the same day, which seemed odd to us primarily because one would think it would take more time to dry. Joseph had his dog in the car, which he kept running since it was so hot outside. At out suggestion, since we have a fenced back yard was to allow him to let the pooch loose ... we even gave it food and water. Cute dog. Unfortunately, Joseph never mentioned anything to us about the possibility of over-spray and the damage it could do to property. It wasn't until Joseph was paid and left that we discovered the next mess. Our garage was open and besides our nice car inside, our new Ford F150 was in the driveway. The over-spray drifted into the garage, messed up the car inside and was also on the truck in the driveway. Both were about 20 plus yards from where he was spraying. You would think he would have not only tested the wind conditions, but observed where the spray was going. Did neither. In addition, he flushed his sprayer from a previous job by the open garage and later we discovered he let paint splatter all over our steel cabinets and garage floor. So, what did we do? We called the company back and explained the situation to the lady that answered the phone. She said she would have the owner call us. To date, no one has called, So what should have been a job at a reasonable price has now cost us over $500 dollar additionally. Both the car and the truck had to be taken to a detailer, who had to clay bar both vehicles to remove the over-spray and then return them to their normal polished condition. This was a horrible experience. We're in our 70's and on a fixed income. Never did we anticipate a mess like this ... or the additional expense and aggravation. We had to clean the paint off the cabinets and the treated garage floor ourselves, which was no small task. Our suggestion: forget hiring this company. The other good reviews mention "Tracy" (back in 2017) ... if he's still there, we weren't lucky enough to get him. And, it doesn't speak well when the owner won't even man-up and call you back. This should have been a fairly easy job, but ended up a disaster!! 11/20/19 Update: Well, finally spoke to the owner last week. He hummed and hawed over and over and did absolutely nothing to compensate for the expense and mental anguish we experienced. At the very least, he should have refunded the amount we paid for the job in the first place. And, had he done that, we would still be out an additional $500. Oh, and I discovered that Tracy (in the positive reviews) PREVIOUSLY owned this company, but sold it and now only does fences. Caveat emptor (buyer beware) you're taking a big risk with no warranty. read more

You can tell he is trustworthy in the first few minutes just by speaking with him. He showed up on time, started and completed my fence exactly on time, and it looks wonderful. Working with Tracy from start to finish was an exceptionally great experience. I found HoneyDude Home Services online after reaching out to several other companies where I received either very expensive quotes or no call backs at all. Tracy responded promptly, provided a very fair and written estimate for the scope of work requested and showed up on time and as promised. We initially hired him just to put up a new mailbox, but he did such a great job that we decided to have him also repair a fence, put up a new wood gate, replace and repaint rotted wood trim around the house, and do some landscaping work that involved changing the slope where water gathered. He worked diligently and without issue every day for a week until the job was completed and since I was helping to oversee the project from another city, I truly appreciated that he made certain to stay in constant communication with me via text message and email.
