You'll love 'em like a rap kid loves breaks. Their offerings are consistently deliciously hand-crafted to the delight of wary consumers who usually have to go without. Squeee, now we feel lucky! An Espresso with Oat Milk to wash down a made to order egg sandwich, that includes hot waffles and maple syrup? "Why yes and make that 2, and add macaroons, pudding, cheesecake and... toss in a few cookies, oh my...is that a cherry tart?" "Am I hungry?" It's not as if I'm drooling while reminding you there isn't anything remotely similar to this gem for at least 2 hours. To order a cake, or anything on their menu for pick up, cast a spell to freeze the Draco Malfoy in your life, OR just call and ask. What a relief! No need to sacrifice taste or worry about getting "glutened" here! Raising the bar in Elmira, Horseheads, AND Corning, where the few places claiming "GF menu items" might fry the overpriced wheat free globs you just swallowed in shared oils, then casually mention this detail as you run out into traffic prepping for the equivalent of Montezuma's Revenge. Good luck at other cafes that will almost certainly include the hostile neglect (and dirty looks) from busy chefs everywhere else, followed by the violent exit of gluten from your bloated bod. Honeydukes gets it right, every time. Pro-tip: Maybe don't make your date drive 20 miles back and forth to fetch you a gluten free scone. I requested that once, and they never spoke to me again. Very unique breakfast, coffee/Tea shop that also serves a number of pastries. Harry Potter themed independently owned shop run by husband and wife that is worth a visit if you are in the Corning, NY area. My girlfriend and I split an order of the stuffed waffle. This item was gluten free and tasted sweet and doughy. I enjoyed it but be aware this will spike your sugar. Many unique drink options including butter bean cold brew coffee. My gf got one that I had a few sips and loved it. She liked it so much she actually purchases another one to go to sip throughout the day! What I liked most about this store was all of the unique items, including edible cookie dough for sale. And by god man you have to look at their chocolate bar selections including a cannoli bar which has real cannoli shells advertised being used in the bar. This is probably only one of the restaurants in Elmira with a Harry Potter theme, and the only place you can get butter beer, which is better than the butter beer from Universal Orlando because it is less sweet. We've been going to Honeyduke regularly for a month. Love their bubble teas. Just noticed their "stuffed waffles". Not quite knowing how they would be able to open up a waffle to stuff anything into it, we ordered a ham and egg stuff waffle. WOW! What a scrumptious treat! They have a special waffle iron (actually 4: 2 for gluten-free and 2 for regular) which has an extra wide opening, so that they can pour the bottom, drop in the contents, then pour the top half, close it and make your stuffed waffle. They've tried other stuffings, like peanut butter and banana. Didn't work. The peanut butter just got sticky. I suggested banana and chocolate hazelnut butter. They just might do it! read more
