I love you Honeydukes. Candy galore, candy up the staircase and fridges full of Pumpkin juice! After a long hot day, there is nothing better than grabbing some chocolate frogs and pumpkin juice to keep you going. I'm sad they got rid of the "toy" store to expand Honeydukes, but if you love HP and candy this is your zone. Prepare for a long line, but fast moving! Even as a die-hard Harry Potter fan, realistically, this place was just an over-priced Candy Store. I did enjoy it when I entered, but the effect wore off after I saw the price tag on some of the stuff they were selling. Though it does have representation of the movies, I honestly wouldn't be paying $10+ for a small chocolate frog. Go in expecting great details to the store, but just remember that it's just an expensive candy story. If you're a Harry Potter fan, go and enjoy it once, but it isn't a place that I see myself going again. read more

Honeydukes is a fine candy store crammed into the Hogsmeade section at Universal. Candy stores at amusement parks always make me raise an eyebrow, but if that's Hogwarts and this is Hogsmeade then you need to include the place where all the students go to blow their galleons. It has shelves full of candy of every type, from Potter favorites like Chocolate Frogs, to traditional British treats like Jelly Babies, and even a large selection of bulk candy. The bulk trays are not perfectly designed for all candy types and the Pineapple Cubes my wife was eyeing got stuck in the dispenser drawer so it wouldn't open, but we managed to get some when we passed through the following day. It can get pretty cramped, but a group of cosplayers came in while we were there and they had no issues navigating the aisles but you may have to go single file in places. read more

Honeydukes is your one stop shop for souvenir sweets. Of the lines to get into stores, Honeydukes moved the most efficiently despite the store's small size. Once inside, the line forms around the perimeter which is truly a feat of wizardry considering how much chaos goes on with people wanting to peruse the aisles of goodies. You'll find all your favorites including: Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans ($9.95) for the pre-packaged kind. They also have it dispensing from the cylinders on the wall which is a much sweeter deal if you just want to try them. Charges by the pound. All in all, not too different from your normal Jelly Belly jelly beans. Didn't get any bogey flavored ones and several tasted like ginger, bubble gum, and melon. Chocolate Frogs ($9.95). Like the jelly beans, these come in packaging exactly like that of the movie versions. If you're going to give a gift to someone, these babies are the way to go. If you're thinking, what's so good about a 10 dollar choco-frog, you'll be impressed by its size and the little wizard/witch card you get is pretty neat. Besides those two biggies, you'll find chocolate wands ($7), chocolate cauldrons, Fudge Flies ($6), Dark Mark pops, and other assorted candies. Plus, they have a fridge with Pumpkin Juice ($6.95) in those great souvenir bottles with the little pumpkins on top. If you move over to their display of treats near Zonko's, you'll find an assortment of fudges (ask the witch working there to describe their specials including Buy One Get One Free), pumpkin tarts, and of course Cauldron Cakes. It was about 3.50 for the cake but its totally worth it. Decorated like a cauldron, the thing was still moist and fluffy even when we brought it back later that night. It's almost a must get. The best advice I can give you is to hold off on the Bertie Bott's beans and the Chocolate Frogs as you can get them in multiple stores including the Universal Studios store on the boardwalk which has none of the lines and shelves filled with merchandise including wands and the lot. In fact, even the Universal Studios store at the MCO airport has the beans and the frogs and even the wands. read more

Notable items on offer: -chocolate frogs with wizarding card of 1 of 4 house heads ($10): 5.3 ounces of chocolate, check packaging for damages and weird "F" letter placement on "Frogs" -lemon drop/sherbet: Dumbledore's favorites!!!! -cauldron cakes: see picture, marshmallow topping -chocolate cauldrons ($10), sold on Hogwarts Express -fizzing whizbies -sugar quills($5): ripoff, it's solidified high fructose corn syrup. -chocolate wands ($8), pay $2 and get frogs -pepper imps - Dark Mark pops -acid pops -some gnarly hair candy...gross. -peppermint toads (7ish?) -chocoballs (strawberry marshmallows) -pumpkin pasties -fudge flies ($6) -Bertie Botts ($10 prepackaged, better if you dispense), basically jelly bellies They also sell pumpkin juice ($7) and an assortment of fudge (ask for daily specials, usually some BOGO deals). Yikes! Dropped nearly $40 on 3 boxes of chocolate toad and pumpkin juice! They really place a huge markup for the packaging! Thankfully, the toads are yummy and not hollow inside. What!? I never reviewed Honeydukes? Honeydukes is probably my favorite place in Hogsmeade. It is just. like. the. movie. I can't help but be giddy every time I walk in. From the chocolate frogs to chocolate cauldrons, and every flavor beans, they leave no stone unturned. It's bright, colorful, and expertly themed. On top of the popular treats from the movies and books, they also offer fudge, cupcakes, and other confections. These make for some amaaaazing souveniers. Pro tip: If you stay at an on site hotel, you can have your purchases sent to your room. That way, you don't have to worry about chocolate getting everywhere during your day at the park. Let me tell you, you do not want anything getting in the way of your fun! They even sell some of the themed drinks like Gilly Water, Pumpkin Juice, etc. I was so happy to see that since I first came in 2010, it seems like they expanded Honeydukes. I popped into Honeydukes to fulfill childhood fantasies of chocolate frogs and pumpkin juice. I immediately grabbed a Chocolate Frog... for the card, of course. Then every flavor beans, which I've left unopened for fear that I'll hit an Earwax bean. The chocolates with the pop-rock-like insides are great. Those were my favorite. I was sad when I didn't have any left... and now I can't even remember their name :( The pumpkin juice is like drinking a pumpkin pie. A sip or two is good, but I couldn't really get past that point. We ran in for shelter in a rainstorm, and as a lifelong Harry Potter fan, I honestly cannot imagine a better place to hide. Honeydukes is bright, it's exciting, it's exactly everything I was hoping it would be. It has everything you read about and then some - the selection really is impressive. They do stock things in multiple places to fill out the store and maintain the illusion, but given how chaotic it got after a few minutes of people coming in from the rain, that's probably for the best. I got my chocolate frogs, a chocolate cauldron, avoided the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans (I'm just not a big risk-taker). Additionally, I was happily surprised by the array of baked goods and themed drinks. At last I understand what a pumpkin pasty is (kind of like an apple turnover but pumpkin). Now, it's definitely expensive. This is a theme park and you should have no illusions about leaving with your wallet intact. Honeydukes in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Not too much to say about the offerings, they do have cool recreations from the movie, although a bit pricey for most everything. A couple of tips to make your life easier: It is always extremely busy, but there are two checkout stands. Go to the line opposite the main door and by the gag gifts. Typically a much shorter line. Also, everyone goes nuts over Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, which they package like in the movie for about $10 a little box. But if u don't care about the packaging buy it in bulk from the dispenser. About half as cheap and just as good. read more

Oh so cramped, but oh so good. Honeyduke's is a gorgeous version of the store from the Harry Potter books and movies. You walk in and it feels like a wonderland in a small space! Plenty of themed items as told from the books. At first I scoffed at a $10 chocolate frog even though it did come with a wizard card! But then I saw some kid eating one and thought "OMG it's enormous!" The line gets insane and makes it hard to look around. Especially since it's connected to Zonko's - literally. This was a must for my visit last year in July. A set of four registers separates the Zonko's Joke Shop from the sweet shop, which has been decorated to reflect the third film's debut of it. In glass jars you'll see Sour Patch Kids, licorice, and other "Muggle" sweets. Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Exploding Bon Bons, Pink Coconut Ice, Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizbees, Chocolate Cauldrons, Candy Skulls, and Chocolate Wands are all $9.95. (because $10 is an outrageous price :) ). Jelly Beans/Bertie Botts line the back wall along with a variety of other sweets that you can pour into bags like Dumbledore's sherbert lemons/ lemon drops and caramel squares. On the Honeydukes side of the register is a display case and a cooler. The cooler (like the vendors outside) has pumpkin juice (apple juice/pumpkin chai tea taste) and the display case has candied apples, fudges (treacle), pumpkin tarts, and cauldron cakes. Supposedly they have rock cakes sometimes, but I didn't see any. I purchased a Chocolate Frog with collectible Salazar Slytherin trading card inside and a very solid, non-hollow frog that tasted like one big block of Hershey's chocolate, pumpkin juice, and a pumpkin tart which tasted like a mini pumpkin pie with a chocolate triangle, whipped cream, and a few sprinkled walnuts on top. Originally it was just the tart, but when I went back in, the staff who had rang me up recognized me, suggested Fizzing Whizbee's, which I didn't buy from lack of cash, and told me to come again. Very pleasant ladies. It can get pretty crowded in there especially with the two shops overlapping, but there are so many treats that you want to buy that you recognize from the books and movies that you can't help yourself. If I go back, I plan to buy a rock cake and a cauldron cake. I know it's cliche to say but I did feel like a kid in a candy store. read more

Best place to get a sweet treat in Universal! Especially if you're a Harry Potter Fan. FYI, this place has a more diverse selection of candies than the Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes at Diagon Alley, but that store has more joke/gag toys, of course. I ended up buying stuff at both stores, when I could have just bought everything at Honeydukes. At least you don't have to carry it around all day, you can just pick up at the entrance later on. Also, Honeydukes has the whole dessert case part with the cupcakes and fudges you see all over Universal's park, along with some HP-themed treats. Of course nothing is cheap, most of the candy is like $6-15 but it's fun to give that stuff out! Or eat it yourself. The Exploding Bon-Bons and Bertie Bott's Every-Flavor Beans are great. Adorable store! It's not very large and can get crowded but the decor, atmosphere, and candy make up for it. I bought a chocolate frog, which was $11, and huge! It was almost the full length of my hand and around an inch and a half tall, and SOLID MILK CHOCOLATE. I also bought a Cauldron cake and one of Hagrid's famous rock cakes. They were also both delicious and pretty big! The cauldron cake was Around $4 and the rock cake around $3. So it wasn't expensive at all. This is a definite stop in your visit to the WWOHP. read more

Yes to the candy and yes to the cauldron cakes! Wow! I spent way too much money here but everthing was delicious! The cauldron cake was super moist and the layers were awesome! We also came out with fudge flies, chocolate frogs, bertie bott's every flavor beans (avoid rotten egg!!), fizzing whizzbees (the best!!), exploding bon-bons, and dark chocolate bars (they were buy one, get one free). The ladies working here were very nice and one of them was cracking us up by never breaking character. The shop is colorful and full of sugary temptations! The store is TINY but amazing. If you can get past the fact that it's super crowded and claustrophobic, you'll find so many amazing things. I purposely brought a near empty suitcase so I could fill it with chocolate frogs, fudge flies, chocolate cauldrons, peppermint toads, pepper imps, and other insane things that the people back home would envy. A must visit!! Tip: don't buy chocolate unless your going back to your hotel and even then the trip is hazardous. This seems an obvious tip but we saw many kids trying to eat chocolate wand puddles and getting it everywhere! Granted they seemed happy so there is that. The atmosphere is amazing! It's just like being in the movies! We visited twice, once at four and again at six. At four the store was much less crowded. (The other park Diagonally closes at five for Halloween nights so everyone over there came over to hogsmead) In both cases the staff were friendly, engaging and super helpful. Having already stopped at Snookers and Snookers, I didn't need anything else to treat my sweet tooth. But I definitely couldn't miss out on visiting the real-life Honeydukes, so I popped in to see how closely it resembled the shop I remembered from the Harry Potter books, and to pick up a couple of souvenir items for family back home. I guess I was expecting a lot more wonderment, because I felt a little disappointed by what I found... to me, it resembles a normal candy shop that you might visit in any mall. Only a handful of interesting items worthy of a wizarding world (fudge flies), and a surprisingly small selection of Harry Potter-branded items (a chocolate wand; Chocolate Frogs). I got a wand and a bottle of pumpkin juice (cute bottle with a pumpkin top... but note this stuff is made from concentrate, and is incredibly sweet!). read more

Do. Not. Get. The. Fudge. It is total crap and costs $15 for a 2x2" square. We were caught in the rain and were lucky enough to be stuck in a candy store. While the atmosphere was great, service was good, the prices are exhorbitant and the quality of product is also crap. The fudge is a HUGE disappointment. It tastes like... nothing. Chocolate frogs have nothing on a plain Hershey's chocolate bar - they are decent. Honey dukes is only there for looks, not quality. Don't waste your money. read more

I loved this candy store because of the imaginative window displays and the colorful, creative candy inside the store!!! Not only was it different from all the same candy I kept seeing in the Disney parks and hotels, but it was a nice surprise to see the candy I had read about and seen in the Harry Potter movies. I must have bought one of everything in the store. So far I really loved the Peppermint Frogs, Fizzing Whizbees, and the Bon Bons sold in orange/ gold foil wrapped oval shapes. The white chocolate skulls (about 1/3 the size of a normal skull) were each hand painted and had a Mexican Day of the Dead look to them. There were lots of Bertie Botts Beans but I can get those at the Jelly Belly Factory in Vallejo California so I skipped those. It was all so colorful and clever, although most items were $7.95 to $9.95 - not at all cheap for the amount of items in each box. I asked for all the items to be delivered to the front of the parks' gift shop so I could pick it up on my way out of the park. The service is free and keeps the chocolate from melting if you take it out with you in the park all day but takes 3 hours and you need to remember to pick your items up at the end of the day. The store was a little small which made it hard to get around other guests, but the smaller intimate store size meant the store was easier to stock. There was just enough candy variety to make it exciting, but not enough to be overwhelming. I was a bit disappointed at one thing - the chocolate frog in the pointed blueish-purple box was one large solid frog - not lots of little individual ones. I really wanted to take the box on the Hogwarts Train and share the frogs with my son and daughter (along with other random passengers in our small train compartment) but a big solid chocolate frog isn't very shareable! Remember the food trolley from the book and movies? Well as soon as you get on the train and get in your own compartment, you may have the same urge to break out your candy and share! I talked to a couple other riders on the train and employees selling the candy at Honey Dukes and they felt the same way about the frog so maybe we'll get little milk chocolate frogs in the future. I did like the trading card that comes with the frog but my son gets to keep that! read more

Honeydukes was the first shop my fiance and I stopped at when we visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL recently. Though we didn't buy anything (since it was fairly early in the morning and we didn't want to carry food around all day), we loved checking out the famed chocolate frogs and the Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans in this whimsical candy shop.
