Rocky and Patrick were great--super attentive and kept the vibe fun. The girls split the Strawberry Lemonade Splash--yes, it's $40 for a non-alcoholic candy drink, which is wild, but it's really about the experience (and they loved it). My husband and I went with the Reposado Espresso Martinis--pretty solid and did the job. Food-wise, we kept expectations realistic. DON'T DO IT! The prices are insane! They don't have a kids menu??? To not have the option of a kids portion is unbelievable! We had to pay $17 for a chicken tender appetizer for a 10-year-old that only would have had two chicken tenders. How many did he eat? Zero. He thought they were nasty and they were definitely overcooked. Then I asked for a side salad because I wasn't very hungry (the GLP1 struggle lol). The server told me she doesn't believe I could get a side salad unless I purchased an entrée and that she would have to go to the back and ask a manager. She came out about 10 minutes later and told me that I could get the side salad, but never bothered to ask me what dressing. She comes over with a salad and it is tossed in some white dressing that I have no idea what it is and when I asked her, she couldn't tell me. I said well I hope it's not ranch because I hate ranch. She just leaves me there with my salad picking at it... I still don't know what dressing it is. My guess is ranch. Since it comes with your choice of dressing, I would assume that she chose ranch for me and maybe could've corrected it but instead, a wasted salad. So we had two milkshakes, a side salad, a chicken, tender appetizer and my daughter got a sandwich for $120. I've lived in Orlando for 30 years so I get the tourist trap thing. I always wanted to visit one of their locations, so while we were here in Orlando I made a reservations for a party of seven to celebrate my niece's 10th birthday (4 adults and 3 kids). We received a notification the morning of our reservation that the AC went down but they had portable AC units and were still open. We kept our reservation and when we got there, the temperature in the restaurant was not bad. However, I was not impressed with the service. It was SLOW. It was only two other tables in the restaurant, so not crowded at all. we ordered our drinks and it took a while for us to get those. We ordered the mini sliders (cute and colorful for the kids). The buffalo chicken sandwich with fries, an order of chicken wings, and a order of fries (the extra order of fries never came out, so I asked our server to take them off our bill). We wanted the the beef noodle dish, but They informed us they were out of noodles so we could not get that. And we had the voodoo pasta for two (a bit spicy, but good). For dessert We ordered two vanilla shakes, a strawberry shake, and a Cookie Monster shake. The two vanilla shakes came out first, then 30 minutes later we inquired where the other 2 shakes were, and they informed us that they were behind, so after an additional 15 minutes of waiting, we ended up canceling our dessert order. We came primarily for the elaborate desserts, and I was very disappointed that the service was slow. Sugar Factory is an experience and a restaurant all in one. Located in the middle of Icon Park, it is surrounded by fun places to explore and enjoy. From The Orlando Eye and Museum of Illusion to Tin Roof and Build A Bear. There is something for everyone here. The service was fantastic, the food was generously portioned and well seasoned. Our waiter was fantastic and honestly was probably the highlight of the meal. Deon made sure we were well taken care of and he was super friendly. I ordered the Spaghetti and marinara, my daughter had the chicken and waffles, and my wife ordered the Super Cheesy Bacon Burger. The food came out super quick and with the exception of my wife's burger everything was fantastic. Unfortunately my wife's burger came out with cool Mac and cheese on it which was a big let down for her. Deon was quick to engage the manager and had the burger remade, and it sadly still came out with cool to the touch Mac and cheese. To their credit they swapped her burger out quickly (she decided to switch to the Signature burger) and we took it to go. The burger had great flavor so no complaints there. They were in the process of decorating for. Valentines Day and it was SUPER cute and I'm sure there will be some gorgeous photos taken there for sure! If I could make one suggestion to the management it would be to deep clean the table tops a bit at least once a month if they aren't already. One of the huge draws for Sugar Factory are the extravagant milk shakes and cocktails covered in all sorts of sprinkles and candies, and those little bits are all stuck inside the cracks of the table tops. That's not to say the place is dirty, they clearly take pride in the place, I just happened to notice the debris and I'm sure it isn't easy to keep up the maintenance there. We happened to be at Icon Park, so we decided to have dinner at the Sugar Factory. I've been to the Sugar Factory at both the Mall of America, and Las Vegas. This location was not as good. The AC didn't seem to be working, which I don't hold against them because I also work somewhere where the AC sometimes goes out, I know it's out of their control and I noticed they were doing everything they could to keep it cool. But it was hot inside and the music was also really loud, so we chose to eat outside. There were a few other tables of people eating outside as well, but we seemed to have been mostly forgotten. Eventually we were the only ones left outside. Took a while to take our order, then took a while to get our order. We needed ketchup, but no one came to check on us, so we just started eating. I tried to flag someone down, and finally did. When we got our milkshake, they forgot spoons, and it took a while to get them. I actually was greeted with stares instead of a friendly smile. The young lady at the counter seemed preoccupied and uninterested to help us even though she is at work. Bedlam. We had a reservation here at 5:30 because it was one of the few restaurants that offered reservations for Valentine's Day two days before the event. Google muffed the drive time by thirteen minutes (for a half-hour drive), and parking (on the seventh floor of the parking garage) took forever. We were (just) over 20 minutes late for our reservation, so got to wait another five or ten minutes to be seated, about 6:00. Our ballet was at Dr. Phillips Center at 7:30, we wanted to leave about 6:30. Our work was cut out for us. Given the time constraints, I knew appetizers and dessert were out, so I focused on my entree. I went with the grilled four cheese sandwich, with all the add-ons: tomato bisque, ham on the sandwich, and onion rings instead of fries. My wife ordered fried calamari fearing that the kitchen wouldn't produce our entrees in time. The calamari came out in maybe five minutes. It was decent, a little rubbery, but otherwise respectable. We were only halfway through the decent-sized serving of calamari when the entrees arrived! My onion rings were missing, but rest was there. The tomato bisque was excellent (my wife snidely commenting that was probably because it was a little salty), with pieces of stewed tomato in a rich creamy soup. The sandwich was also very tasty though clearly not grilled very long. My wife got fries instead of the onion rings she requested: it took maybe five minutes for one order of onion rings to arrive. They were disappointing: not at all crunchy, light in color, thick slices. The second order didn't appear until we were ready to go. All praise goes to our server who made things happen FAST. He was constantly getting things for us, adjusting our order, and making our needs his priority ... while dealing with several other tables. Hats off to him. We left about 6:35, unable to try any of the featured desserts. The first line of this review pretty much covers the ambiance. The background music was too loud to permit any significant conversation; and the clean, black and white decor which looked elegant in the picture, looked immature with a bunch of young people eating ice cream and a full-wall video screen showing random stuff. This is a very lively place to come for brunch as me and my family did. It was Mother's Day and they were offering a free non alcoholic pina colada for all moms which was great. I was a little disappointed that their menu was limited compared to the menu that was online for other locations because there were items I was craving that this location didn't have. I got the smores nutella waffle and my husband got the strawberry cheesecake french toast. The presentation was great as my eyes really ate first. My kids shared the chocolate chip pancakes. We made a reservation for 8:00 PM and arrived literally 10 minutes late, only to be told the wait would only be "10-15 minutes." That turned into 45 minutes just to get seated. What is even the point of making reservations if they clearly don't honor them or can't manage their seating properly? Once we finally got seated, it somehow got even worse. We sat there for another 25 minutes without a single person coming to take our order. No drinks, no acknowledgment, nothing. The staff acted completely disorganized and every time we asked for an update, we got a different answer or were ignored altogether. Then it started raining, so they told us we had to move back inside -- except they apparently didn't actually have a table available for us inside. So after already waiting forever, we were basically left standing around while nobody communicated anything. We had to constantly chase someone down just to get basic information because no employee seemed capable of proactively helping customers. The restaurant itself was miserable too. There was barely any AC, so the entire place felt hot and uncomfortable, and the smell inside was honestly awful. Between the heat, the chaos, and the complete lack of customer service, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. After an hour and a half of waiting, confusion, and terrible service, we still barely had any progress. They do play very loud music, especially for birthdays. This is definitely a trendy hip spot. We tried the sip of joy Santa hot chocolate. It was very delicious. Definitely enough for two people to enjoy. Also got to try the blue chicken sliders. I've been here a few times and it's always PACKED! Yesterday, I was surprised to see only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. I stopped only for a milkshake. We sat at a booth and it was super comfortable. Ordered the strawberry milkshake (old-fashioned style) and it was so good! Not overly sweet, but enough to share, and beautiful! We enjoyed our time here, they even had a photographer on site who took our picture and framed it! It was so cute, we had to buy it to take home. They advertise crepes and steaks all on their banner so we went for dinner. Inside, you are greeted by a candy store. It wss cool and then you walk into the restaurant where you are seated. Every party is subject to 20% gratuity despite how many people are in your party so just FYI. We had no issues so that was no issue.
