Horrible, horrible experience as the wedding coordinator for my daughter's wedding this past weekend.
I want to say that the event space had absolutely NOTHING to do with this review. They were professional and kind and did THEIR job. They get 5 plus stars! Kenzie however was awful.
* Had to repeatedly ask for the following before the wedding: table set up or at least measurements so we could make the table set up, shot list for the photographer, timeline of the wedding, that the email to the vendors went out.
* Over 20 minutes late for rehearsal with no explanation other than she was behind slow drivers. For weeks assured bride she was going to stay after the rehearsal or go back after the rehearsal dinner to set up with crew to make sure it was all done. Night of rehearsal she told the bride that she had "meetings" that night and would be there at 6am.
* Arrived at 7:30 morning of 11:00 wedding - not 6am as promised.
* Had no face to face communication with the bride until after 10am that morning.
* No signs were put out to direct guests, even though we asked as early as 7:30 for that to happen.
* Set up was not done according to previous discussions with bride even though bride and family had previously made the table arrangements and labeled all place settings, set up all tables, delivered everything to site prior to morning of wedding, etc. Bride even showed her pictures and pre- ran down every single decoration.
* Lied to the managers of the farm that it was not her responsibility to set up anything, and that she let the bride know that. This was after the bride confirmed and Kenzie reassured the bride that she would have everything set up and in place no worries either the night before or early the morning before.
* When asked by bride or bride's mother questions via text morning of wedding she always directed us to someone else or didn't answer at all.
* Bride's bouquet-bridal party bouquets were not with the bridal party. Had to ask the photographers assistant to help.
* Groomsmen were not given their boutonnieres, brides mother had to go find them.
* Made no attempt or plans to get the bridal party from the cabin up on the mountain down to the ceremony which required an all wheel drive car - not a walk. When asked, she told bride's mother that bride's sister could drive them in her own truck.
* Recruited the groomsman to help with set up, therefore delaying the pictures by the photographer and setting whole schedule back.
* When told to let them go, tried to recruit caterers, bartenders and photographer to help her.
* Eventually had the help of family members attending wedding - guests of the wedding - to help.
* Tables were not set up properly - according to the diagram, even though everything was labeled before hand.
* Water was not brought from the refrigerator to cocktail hour - family had to do that.
* Food was not brought to the cocktail hour - only food provided was olives and three small plates of meat - the wedding had 150 guests. Cocktail hour food was left behind at the reception area.
* Cars were allowed to be parked at the reception area even though she had agreed to not allow that. She had agreed that at 9:00am she would be sure that anyone that had parked there for set up would move their car and that she would set up signs blocking off that entrance.
* Coffee was set in the greenhouse where the cocktail hour was and never brought to the reception.
* Desserts that should have been refrigerated for the outdoor wedding were set out in the heat and topped by her with whipped cream hours before ceremony started.
* Refused to take rings, music and marriage certificate when bride's mother tried to deliver them to her from bride because she never showed up to the bridal suite to meet with bride.
* Asked one of the groomsmen to carry the speaker for the music down the aisle with him.
* When ceremony was over, was still trying to set up tables. Family had to step in to help. Bride had to actually come down and direct at that point in time.
* Didn't respond to the MCs email so she didn't know what to say and this had to be done by the officiant.
* Never tested the music or the microphone. That was left to the family.
* Told bride she would have a crew or help setting up decorations and she was alone.
* Did not open many of the boxes that had been left with decorations or supplies.
* Did not put out dinner napkins. Napkins purchased to be used for cocktail hour never made it, rather were placed in the rest rooms when they ran out of paper towels.
* Did not have champagne poured in the flutes at the table for the toast - in fact the flutes were not on the table - as was promised.
* Did not fill with mason jars with water on the tables as was promised.
* Did not get the marriage certificate signed nor delivered to courthouse as was promised. Bride found the unsigned certificate in the bridal suite after the wedding when she went to pick up her things at end of day.
