My boyfriend enlisted the help of Stargazers Floral Design to help with his proposal plans at the Wildberry Lodge. They did an amazing job with all of the floral arrangements. He ordered a lot and they made them all a bit different so the room was really filled with all sorts of different types of arrangements. They set it all up at the lodge and did a beautiful job. Meeting with the owner months prior to my daughter's wedding was wonderful. The colors and flowers were chosen and later confirmed. On the wedding day, however, was a complete heartache. The delivery was an hour late to the church. The pew markers were different sizes, the garland for the large cross was attached as if a child stuck it on. The flowers were totally the wrong color. While the orchids used were beautiful, no where in the wedding colors was dark burgundy/brown wanted. The groom wore this oversized colored orchid - not appealing at all. My daughter's bouquet consisted of wilted dead dahlias - her favorite flower! I feel very upset that I truly paid for greenery and wild flowers that look better in the grocery store. The owner was out of town and 2 woman tried to accommodate by replacing dahlias with garden roses. A conscious decision was made to use these dying flowers and over abundance of greenery. I'm not one to post reviews but for this special day I feel very taken back by the cost and lack of professionalism in our floral results. I know our exceptional photographer will create beautiful pictures - even with the dull/dark/greenery flowers delivered. read more

The floral arrangements that Stargazers Designs created for our wedding were beautiful, with exceptional flowers and arranging, wonderful selection and freshness. The bridal & bridesmaid's bouquets, arrangements, and boutonnieres all had a very natural & organic look and feel, which was exactly what was desired, and it was nice to see that some local flowers, like goldenrod, were used. One of the guests commented that the chuppah, which was adorned with flowers, "was the most beautiful chuppah I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of them!" We have to agree that the flowers made the chuppah exceptionally beautiful! We highly recommend Stargazers Designs! read more

The biggest mistake I made was hiring Kristi Mayran as my wedding coordinator. She was lazy, unprofessional, dishonest and bragged about taking advantage of the owner of our venue. She also broke into the wedding venue that we booked for the honeymoon after we reminded her to not come into the house; per Airbnb/VRBO's policy and common sense. She used the key that had been entrusted to her to come in ON OUR HONEYMOON after she did such a pitiful, lazy, unprofessional job. She has not responded to me email or my mother's email about how mortified we were. Her assistant Mel was apparently the one I had been communicating with the whole time and Kristi acted as if she had never heard any of the details emailed to her, communicated on the phone and in person (that she wrote down). She kept asking where my Father is Law was, who is recently deceased, after we told her repeatedly he had passed. I have never been so disappointed or frustrated with anyone in my life. She did not direct us, she was hard to find and she neglected the most important tasks entrusted to her. She has not taken ownership of cheating me out of $1,500 for services that she did not perform. She bothered me, the bride, all day with questions and concerns. She interrupted our Bride/Groom photo session to tell me we ran out of beer (which was not true). She also neglected to tell me to purchase the things that I needed for the wedding which was her job. On top of that, she mislead the catering staff and got complaints about how disorganized she was. She told my Mom to cut bigger slices of cake herself and was rude to guests. For the sake of your wedding, do not hire her. Her flowers were pretty but I can never get that day (or apparently my hard-earned money) back. I'm a teacher who paid out of my own pocket for services that I did not receive. read more

First off, not only are they absolutely wonderful and friendly people, but they are crazy talented! Stargazers did an absolutely amazing job on my wedding bouquets and boutonnieres! All I provided was a few inspiration photos and the request that they use whatever is in season. Somehow with this little direction, they envisioned the bouquets of my dreams. The quality of the arrangements and the flowers themselves was truly outstanding. And, there's more! My husband loves legos and I really wanted to incorporate legos into their boutonnieres. Not only was stargazers willing to do this, she specially arranged the legos so that when all of the groomsmen/fathers stood together, the legos spelled out 'I love u'. It was such a pleasant surprise and thoughtful thing to do, truly above and beyond! Lastly, prices were reasonable and delivery was extremely inexpensive. I wish I lived in Asheville and could go to Stargazers more often! read more

This review isn't about the quality of the flowers provided by Stargazer but, more importantly, the service they provide. Here is our story: On a Monday in early September Stargazers Floral Designs delivered flowers to our home. On Wednesday I had two Buncombe County Sheriff trucks and four deputy sheriffs at my door; the woman who delivered flowers had reported that I had wild animals in cages on my property. Yes, wild animals in cages. At the time we didn't have a dog or a cat, let alone bears in cages. The deputy sheriffs asked to search our property and our home, which they did and, of course, found no wild animals. They apologized profusely and left our home. This was intrusive and absolutely bizarre. Did we hear anything from the owner or her employee regarding this crazy situation? Not a word. I stopped by the shop two days later and there was nothing said.......other than that the delivery person had seen a bear in a cage, even after the sheriff informed her that they saw nothing indicating anything of the kind. This was absolutely crazy. No apology, no "sorry for the misunderstanding", not a word from the owner. I had had no previous dealings with Stargazers and didn't know anyone who was employed there. How this could happen without so much as a phone call from the owner of Stargazers is simply beyond belief. Bad business is an understatement for this owner. We have requested FTD not to utilize them as a local supplier. read more

I asked for a small arrangement to be sent to a friend and said I did not want a bud vase or carnations. I asked that it be delivered in the afternoon. I was not told any of these requests could not be accommodated. An arrangement was delivered first thing in the morning with carnations (and some other flowers which were lovely) in a large mouth bud vase. Someone was not listening. A follow up phone call netted no apology or offer to reduce the price. read more
