First time here, not a huge fan of Chinese food however this place is definitely a go. Service is excellent, good got here fast, waitress was on top of our drinks. Place is quiet. I would definitely recommend and come back again in the future

#2 dinner in front and in the back is the Shanghai special lunch with rice and sweet n sour chicken.

The service was fast and the lady was nice. Food was amazing, hot and fresh! She refilled my water several times (I was thirsty lol) and the hot tea was delicious. The Shanghai special is so good! Portions are huge so well worth the money. The only thing I've always found odd is how quiet it is in the dining area. No music at all so it's just complete silence unless you're talking, and even then it feels like you need to keep your voices down as if you're in a library. I'm sure once it's busier it doesn't feel so silent, our party was the only ones there for the first half of our meal. Definitely try this place!

Come on, Kong Kong Lum Lums, what a major disappointment. The Hong Kong Special Fried Rice and Chow Mein had nothing special about them at all. They lacked flavor. They both only had two shrimp. The chow Mein only had one piece of chicken. The rice had many pieces of chicken buried I thought perhaps the same for the chow Mein. Nope, two shrimp, one chicken and six pieces of pork. The Egg Foo Yung was sopped in a good amount of gravy but even that couldn't cover up the burnt taste. I tried eating one and had to throw it out. Charred burnt flavor was all you got. Both dishes lacked flavor and were not pleasing to eat at all. Sooooooo disappointed in this Visalia establishment.

Came in about 1145am for lunch, and of course I'm super excited because I always get great service and food, but unfortunately this time the food was really lacking. I ordered the biggest plate so I can take leftovers, I didn't even want the leftovers! My food was luke warm, the soup had hardly anything it, mostly water. Our food came out way too fast to be fresh!! I'm really disappointed! Don't think I'll be back for awhile

I travel to Viselia a couple times a month. I am always in search of a lunch spot. This place is located in Chinatown. I didn't know they had one. It a pretty old school restaurant trying to keep up with the time. Exposed bricks and beams are great, but they put old mismatching art work back on the wall. The table and chairs are little dated. The workers all spoke Cantonese, gives me a ma and pa restaurant vibe. Onto the food! The free egg drop soup was shockingly good. It is mild, sweet, smooth, I devoured it down. I broke my own rules and ordered a mandarin dish in a Cantonese restaurant. The reason being I don't see any authentic Hongkong classics on the lunch special. I ordered the twice cooked pork. It's labeled spicy but there is not much heat to it. It could be spicy to the Cantonese palate. The dish was salty, smoky, and delicious. Only criticism is they should go with a more marbled cut of pork, and throw some whole peppers in there. A pleasant surprise for me. I will eat here again!

Food was old and no fresh at all. The meat was hard and dry. The rice was just ok. You can tell the food was cooked a day or two ago. Even the chicken tasted reheated.

It was quickly made and delivered. I gave 3 stars because a couple of the items seemed a bit off. The chow mein was delicious, especially the spicy one. The rice lacked a bit of flavor. The orange chicken was flavorful. The sweet and sour pork wasn't the best I've had and the beef and broccoli was good but a bit 'mushy'. I know it is all over the place but the food was definitely inconsistent but it wasn't terrible. I would like to give it another try and then update review afterwards. I know covid has set a lot of businesses back so definitely worth another try.

I got home after working all day and I was starving, went all day without eating, so I ordered thru door dash, I got 2 of the no.6 dinners costing around $30.00, it wasn't even edible my fork couldn't even penatrate the sweet & sour pork, it was hot I'll give them that 1 star for that. The pork was over cooked or sat around all day waiting for some sap like me to order this plate of crap, the breading on the pork was too hard as well as the pork. I've had beef jerky softer than this crap. The noodles were in hard clumps, the rice had no flavor with burnt pork in it. I rate a BIG FAT 0 this was the worst I will NEVER order from Hong Kong again!!!!!! Very disappointed, not just because food sucked but spent all the money I had on this dinner that we can't eat and now have to go another day without eating!! Oh yeah is it policy not to tape up boxes and bags to ensure no tampering and safety thru Door Dash? Because it was not taped up (bag nor boxes) no reciept with my name on it or anything not even plastic fork or napkins! I work in a restaurant and we fort knox that shit to ensure no tampering for our patrons safety people it's common sense! So Hong Kong you get a loud bang on the GONG (show) THANKS FOR NOTHING!

So greasy eggroll nearly burnt ... Forgot why I stopped eating here. Egg Rolls BBQ Pork Chow Mein

Each plate had its own, taste - The egg rolls were crisp on the outside and had a good filling. The sweet and sour pork had a crisp batter with a good flavor. We enjoyed several different items . The house rice was perhaps too mild. I asked the manager/ owner about her menu and how it was different from other Chinese restaurants. She offered that the food is based more on what is found in Shanghai. She commented the have spicier options we could ask about next time we came in. This was our go-to for delicious and freshly prepared Chinese food but it's not the same anymore. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of free parking. The restaurant is clean but the one restroom could definitely use a deep, thorough cleaning. I ordered the #2 dinner combo $15.00, it consisted of --a cup of basic egg flower soup 3/5 --two deep fried wontons with sweet and sour sauce 4/5 --two deep fried shrimp (a bit greasy) 3/5 --one veggie egg roll (a bit greasy) 3/5 --chicken broccoli (very garlicky and flavorful) 5/5 --orange chicken (some of the pieces of chicken had a gamely flavor (yuck) and the chicken was not crispy; orange sauce coating the chicken was good 2/5 --chicken chow mein ( chicken and veggies were kinda nonexistent & it looked like they used spaghetti pasta rather than traditional chow mein noodles) 2/5 --pork fried rice was pretty good 5/5 Service was efficient and waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, I won't be back due to this experience.

It was his favorite Chinese restaurant when he lived in Visalia. I had not been in many years, so I went with him for dinner one evening, and it was good. Not my favorite in this area, but good. The food was really solid. Very delicious, excellent food. We ordered family style, so we got great portions. However, the service when we went was very slow and definitely lacking. We knew exactly what we wanted within about a minute of sitting down, so we did the typical set the menus aside and fold our hands to signal the server that we were ready to order. It took more than 10 minutes before we were able to finally get a waitress to take our order. Not that there weren't waitresses there, they just kept walking by and saying someone else would get back to us to take our order. Our appetizer arrived 25 minutes after we arrived. Yes, it was so noticeable, I WAS paying attention to the times. We started off with the fried chicken wings, spring rolls, and tempura scromp-scromps. They were all good. Again, not my favorite in Visalia, but still quite good. A few minutes later, we got the Beef & Egg flower soup. Now, I love me some egg flour, soup, but then you go and throw some meat in it? Next level. That was definitely better than other Chinese restaurants in Visalia. Our main dishes started arriving at 31 minutes. We got the Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Scromp-scromps, and Beef with Broccoli. These were all very delicious arguably as good or close to my favorite Chinese restaurants in town. The restaurant was relatively busy when I was there, so I didn't take any inside pics, but the inside is nice. The restaurant seemed clean and the prices were reasonable. It was really the service that we had issue with, and found lacking. It could've been a isolated event, I don't know. Even my brother was disappointed.

The target customer demographic in this area isn't generally Asian, so we tempered our expectations before dining here. We were impressed by the extensive menu offerings and after some deliberation, we settled on the Dinner for Two which started with a Won Ton Soup and fried shrimp and pot stickers as appetizers. The entree included sizzling rice wor bar, Peking pork and pork fried rice (we substituted for pork chow mein). The restaurant was very traditional in closing the meal out with fortune cookies. Our favorite due to its flavor was the Peking pork, and we also enjoyed the fried shrimp, pot stickers and sizzling rice wor bar. The only misses were the Won Ton Soup (we felt the flavor of the broth was not quite right) and the pork chow mein (it arrived lukewarm and lacking in flavor but it was an improvement after dousing it in chili sauce). Chinese Kitchen doesn't appear to be located in the best neighborhood, but it is easy to tell that this establishment has been around for quite some time. The best part of our dining experience was the service. Our greeter and server welcomed us, took our order and checked in on us multiple times. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner and she is very welcoming and helpful. If you're in Visalia and have a craving for Chinese cuisine, Chinese Kitchen is as good an option as any!
