Trying to find the right tax person to do our stuff since we switched from our 5 year tax prep…read morecause they are drop off only. Tried this place out... red flags right away. Couldn't focus, couldn't keep things straight and the numbers are way off. I know we have to pay in like always but the numbers are never too far off from years before and we done nothing different like pulling out from 401k due to medical bills which I submit to fidelity to get the money for it as proof. I explained 3 times I wanted to pick my forms up in 12 hour window cause I wanted to do them myself or take them somewhere else and had to explain why and pretty much beg. Told me to sleep on it yesterday. I got my forms and I had no problem paying the fee to prep them as long as I don't have to work with them. They gave me time so I'll pay. It's fair! I stand in line and noticed the owner messed somethings up with the guy ahead me and he seemed conflicted but he seen the line behind him so he hurried up and signed forms and wrote a check out no questions asked. I was next so I asked for my forms and mind you I've been nice from start to finish. No attitude, faces, names, nothing. She said $100 and check was okay and the owner Kay comes around the corner and said in front of EVERYONE can you pay with cash or card? I don't have my wallet with only checkbook and I've never bounced a check in my life or my spouse and always have money in my bank accounts. I'd show proof to the world, no problem! I said I don't have my card I can write my drivers license number on it and she sighed and said fine.. okay... The owner humiliated me in a room full of people and took the kid ahead me check, caused a issue with me wanting to take my business to a better tax prep that isn't messing things up, and give me ultimatums to get my forms back. If you're going to humiliate me and think I'd cancel my check or don't think I have money... sadly wrong! Card or check anyone can get money back and dispute it if they wanted to. And if you're going to humiliate me and assume when you know nothing or anything about me, I'll beat you at that game every. Single. Time. They say there's two sides to a story, mines always the truth if I look good or really bad. Take you're business here, but don't get you're hopes up and expect mistakes and everything I wrote.

Rude secretary, very combative, non compassionate for a parents concern. Numerous lies about phone calls to be returned with numerous excuses for reasons attorney was not available for a 5 minute call. Never ever go to this firm! Tried to reach out to the attorney directly via voice mail and email with no response. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. They stated that they could not speak to me because my son had not granted authorization yet he signed a form giving consent for them to talk to me. Only to be told that it was a consent to talk to me if he couldn't be reached. What does that mean. Again, DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Internet connection was slow over the Christmas holiday - okay, heavy Amazon traffic. It continued…read moreinto the new year - including regular internet drops (per system tray icon) - even with restarting our router modem. I called Brightspeed (who took over our CenturyLink account) and all they could tell me was that I needed to increase speed (we are already maxed at 10 mg download) because we have too many devices using the internet (two laptops and two smart phones, no gaming). Could not convince the agent otherwise, so I asked to have a tech come to our home and all the agent could say was that it would cost $100 and they would not be able to tell us any different. So I asked to speak with a supervisor. The agent supposedly transferred me to the supervisor's phone where we were on "ignore" (i.e., hold) for 60+ minutes (yes, over an hour) without the supervisor ever taking our call. Rotten technical service. And they are, apparently, the only land-based business in the area.

No one ever answers the Platteville office phone, and if you're lucky enough to catch someone they will put you on hold and then hang up. I went in to resolve issues and was not greeted at the door, was told that they couldn't do anything to help me at that office. Waste of my time. They have tons of 800 numbers with very nice but unhelpful people who will just tell you to unplug and restart your modem. My internet was out for over a week, multiple technicians not showing up to the repair appointment. The customer service 800 numbers just kept telling me he was on his way, ended up waiting 8 hours and no show or call to explain. Best they could do was reschedule. It is barbaric to have to pay for internet when it isn't even working and they are in no hurry to fix it!!! It took 3 missed technicians for them to finally send someone out to my house. I argued for a credit to my account for the days I went without internet. You need to be authoritative to get anywhere with this company.
