The booking process over the phone was seamless and the hourly rate was very competitive. The SUV was clean and well-equipped with water and hand sanitizer. When you are tired and cranky there is no one else to deal with the crisis at hand. And my least favorite thing is that sometimes it seems like you pay twice as much for that hotel, taxi, gas, etc. when you don't have another person to split the costs. I was reminded of this little travel problem when trying to find the most economical way to get to and from PDX for a long trip. On short trips, Park-n-Fly or PDX long term parking are great, but weren't an option for this trip. So after much calling and web surfing for rates, I booked a towncar because they have a promotion where first time customers get a 20% discount if you pay by cash or check. So I got to travel in style without picking up other passengers and it was less expensive than the other shuttle services I checked. The owner was my driver both to and from PDX and I must say it was nice to see a friendly, familiar face after a long overnight flight. He was also on time (or early), personable during the drive and clearly takes pride in running a good business.

Our room was large and clean and we were on the third (top) floor. There is a game room sort of area, fitness center, outside hot tub (sadly, didn't bring a swimsuit!) and the main lobby has coffee, tea, and lemon water available at all times. The breakfast room is large and I felt the food offerings were more than adequate, more than I've seen at a lot of other hotel/motel breakfasts. Everything was very clean too--not always the case! They have a cool little conveyor belt machine that makes pancakes (an alternative to the waffle maker you usually see) and even had a non-dairy milk option (soy milk) too. My husband said the coffee could have been better, but also what do you expect at a hotel at the free breakfast or with the little in-room coffee maker, lol. We stayed just one night at this BW to break up the drive when making our way up to Seattle from Eugene. The location for this type of thing is perfect. It's right off of I-5 and north of Downtown (past all of the traffic craziness). The Yellow Max Line is about a 5-7 minute walk away from the hotel (or you can drive over and park at the Park N Ride lot) so you can still get to downtown easily from here without fighting other cars & parking. It's about a 20-25 minute ride to the city center. Overall, a great experience at this BW location. I would recommend and consider staying here again!
