This company is absolutly fake and illegal. They have a website https://directhookahs.com which doesnt take credit cards only allows you to send them cash from PayPal or wire transfer. They are registered to a place in Iceland that shields thiefts from the authoritys ( https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/09/business/iceland-online-disinformation-identity-theft.html ). The websites domain was registered on October 17, 2023. When you call their line it ends up being a Google Voice number which is easy to hide. I had a few emails back and forth with a guy who says his name is Ivan Toderica. Its an alieas. He kept pushing me to send him the money and when I asked for a business license he ghosted me. He also references his business as Hookah District when the website I was ordering from was Direct Hookah. His contact email is below: info@directhookahs.com, directhookah3@gmail.com. Good selection of hookah goods and tobacco. There aren't many local spots that supply good tobacco brands, and this place always has a decent selection. The tobacco is also fresh. I've been to local shops where the tobacco was manufactured a year plus and has been sitting on their shelves. The only thing is the prices are a bit steep. For $32, you can pick up a 250g Starbuzz container. Or for $22 you can pick up a 100g container. I'm used to spending about $20-25 for a 250g container, but this was in California. read more

Stumbled upon Hookah District in search of some shisha and I'm glad we found this little place tucked next to a Condoms to Go and a "massage" parlor. (ha). When you walk in, you immediately know that they're gong to have what you're looking for and more! Ricky was super friendly and answered all of our questions! We ended up having to come back about 30 minutes later because I broke the base of my hookah from Kuwait. She found us a new one that was made in Egypt by the same company -- it wasn't the same style but, eh! A small pack of fumari is $22, the garbage hookahs you see at gas stations or $10 are $40+, and the cheapest bowl is $20. I was most disappointed to find I paid $100 when this model is more than two years old and sold online for $50 now. The newer models (which they had) are $100 but much better. So, I visit this place pretty often and every time I go, whether it's in the day or night time, everyone working there has always been so courteous and helpful. The prices are great too because I have been to other hookah spots where they charge you $12 one day and $14 the next.
