I was really nervous about letting him go away with the team because he's tiny, he had never played football before, and I wasn't sure how he would fit in with a team full of kids who had been playing together for 3-4 years. My fears were immediately quelled when we picked him up from the bus after camp had ended. Coach Moore is fantastic! He challenges and encourages the players to strive to be their best. He gives them feedback on ways to improve and he really breaks things down so they can understand. A true teacher! I was especially impressed when I learned the organization provides a bus to take players/families to/from games. This would certainly have been a FIVE star review if the certification process wasn't soooo long. (which may or may not be a reflection on the program) OVERALL: A wonderful local program with great coaches, mentors, and fantastic players/families. Highly recommend!

We thought this club would make her love sports more but it has instead turned her off Soccer. On their FIRST class, they were told to tap and and kick the their own ball while chasing the coach around who went around in circles and zig zagged around. Not only were they supposed to chase the coach, while keeping their eye on the ball and kick the ball, they were also supposed to each grab a jersey off his waist. Keep in mind that these are 3-4 year olds and imagine the chaos. The classes are far more advanced and is not at all tailor made for 3-4 yr old kids. A couple of parents commented to the coach that the kids just can't follow this class and they were dismissed, saying that "well, SOME kids get it". True- some kids who were 4 did get it but it was definitely not designed for this age group. Whoever wrote the curriculum does not have kids and doesn't understand what their cognitive skills are at this age. They were given numbers to memorize at one point then they were split into groups so they can go after the ball when their number is called. Sounds fair but honestly the kids didn't even remember their number by the time they walked to separate sides. It was just chaos. I'm sad we even bothered because now our daughter refuses to play soccer. At all. She now hates it.

The Footy referee was more focused on reprimanding her for expressing her vocal outrage that a foul wasn't called. Mind you, she had a fractured cheek bone, bruised ribs, and a concussion. The referee laughed in her face. The other team faced no accountability. The result - she was suspended. Not like she can play any time soon due to her injuries, which may require surgery. Like other reviewers have noted, the refs can be biased, and that bias DOES result in injury. Don't join this league if you value safety.

Everything is done through the app, from reserving a table to paying for snacks to opening the door. For a table in a shared space (open pod) it's about $10/30min during off-peak hours and $15/30min during peak hours. Sometimes they have reduced rates for certain tables; it's a little weird to navigate on the app so I wish it was a little clearer.

As a visitor to the city, finding parking on a weekday afternoon was near impossible, until it became possible after what felt like 25 minutes of searching for a spot. The park is truly sprawling and there are many places to explore, including pavilions, bridges, falls, a pond, a creek, and endless paved trails. We also couldn't help but notice that the park overall may not have been maintained consistently, based on the extensive weeds in fountains, for instance. We saw at least two cafes that had pastries, sandwiches, and beverages on their menu that looked good enough to make us think we'd definitely go there if we lived locally. All in all, I'm grateful for this space being available for locals and visitors to enjoy, and hope it is maintained and stays open for many more years.

New teams get treated really well (translation: they remain low ranked no matter how much they win) while other individuals have their skill level pushed up in the hopes they will start their own team. The really bad part is if you dare to question his manipulating the system. If you complain about your own ranking, you can be sure to stay there no matter how you play. When I told someone they should complain, everyone else quickly corrected me and said that will only make it worse. I guess we are playing North Korea style pool, lol. It is still a fun league and you can meet some really cool people. I mildly recommend playing but offer caution when dealing with the guy who runs the league.
