Last summer, Fiancé and I got placed in sit-in kayaks for the first time. Less than a mile down the river, he complains that he's really uncomfortable, and isn't sure what to do with his feet. Turns out they set him off on a 6-mile trip with NO FOOTRESTS inside the kayak. So Fiancé's excursion ended with a lot of lower back pain. This summer, I went online and reserved an 11-mile trip at 10:00 on a Sunday, three weeks in advance. They called to confirm that I was squared away. Then when I showed up at 9:55, I was told they weren't opening until 11 that morning. When I said I had a 10:00 reservation for the 11-mile trip, they said they hadn't been doing the long trips all week. They didn't have any of my information available, or lost it, so instead of a phone to call give me a heads up, I find this out after driving 35 minutes to the livery. Until they can fix their equipment and have a better booking system in place, I'm done with this company. Our bodies and our time are far too valuable to risk any more mishaps.

Kids loved it too! However my boat had a 'patched' hole in it and we were taking in water, we literally had to pull over half way down and dump the water out. I was getting frustrated my feet were sitting in water for 2 1/2 hours. Same happened to another guy and then the shuttle was full so we had to wait for the next one... We'd do it again but they definitely need to find better patches for the boats.

When I initially walked in the young man who was helping us just grabbed his bike before I could even say what was wrong and began working on it and in no time flat, the bike was fixed. I was so impressed with the service I purchased my own E bike, which I am absolutely delighted with. All of the sales associates that helped me throughout the whole experience were patient, kind and explained everything to me and great detail, which was helpful because I am a new rider. I should also mention that I shopped around quite a bit and no experience matched the one I had with the folks from Paradise Garage. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and the entire experience.

The customer service, knowledge and patience I received from Emily, Dan and Will was unparalleled. I purchased a Surly Karate Monkey hardtail, which was my first mountain bike. I had done considerable research, but many questions remained. Sizing was my first concern. Emily brought out her own Karate Monkey, which confirmed the correct size for me; and because I had decided to upgrade the tires, Dan and Will spent considerable time helping me choose which tires would be best for both front and rear. Once the bike arrived, Dan assured a proper fit. He also made certain my compression front fork was adjusted properly and that I understood how to experiment with various settings to maximize its benefit. The folks at Paradise Garage make the experience of buying a new bicycle comfortable, enlightening and fun, as it should be.

Just north of here there is a low-head dam currently situated on the Creek. so we needed to avoid that structure, and selected this park as a starting point. there is a nice boat ramp, and although there have been quite a bit of rain the water level had receded overnight, so we had to walk the boats out to the center of the creek. After a little scooting around we were on our way. This is a great launching point, and it made for a great float of about 1-1/2 to 2 hours into downtown Gahanna. Our kayak takeout was Friendship Park, just south of the Creekside area, but you can read all about that and another one of my reviews.

We got all that here, and so much more. There is a fair-sized playground with several slides, climbing areas, swings, etc. And: an obstacle course with logs, tunnels, little houses to play in, and more. Wow. Plus it's a great park otherwise: shade, plus green space, a shelter with bathrooms, tables, a rain garden, places to fish by a big pond, paths, basketball courts and playing fields, and more. Beautifully laid out, full of fun, we will definitely be back.
