First off, this is in a big, brown building that's near some apartments on South Duff. The sign…read moreisn't huge, but I did drive past it once. It's a brick building, and it has private parking in the driveway. Parking is nice. The office itself has its own door once you go inside. The closest door to the parking lot will get you to their office as soon as you walk in. I called about an appointment right before tax time (bad timing on my part), but they were willing to answer a quick question via e-mail before I had my scheduled appointment date, so that's definitely nice service. Once I arrived there, everybody there was fantastic. The receptionist was really friendly, and even though I showed up 10 minutes early (just to make sure I was on-time), I was taken straight to the office to meet with my CPA (in this case, it was Dan Scoles). As bonus points for the receptionist, I wanted to make sure I had money to go downtown in Ames, and I asked for change for a dollar. They don't keep a cash register (or cash) there, but she dug in her purse and ended up getting me quarters for my dollar. I love that she went out of her way to help. Dan was completely forward and upfront about what I needed to do, and he even printed me off some information. He seemed extremely knowledgeable about what he was doing, and he offered suggestions about things I hadn't thought about doing. He was very down-to-Earth, and he explained my options for things - and also explained what he thought would be the best option. I came in with a list of pre-written questions, and he answered almost all of them without being prompted - just by himself when explaining what he'd recommend and what should be done. My only complaint is that I couldn't pay for my service at the time I had it done. I particularly dislike having bills sent in the mail, and I'd rather just pay right up-front. However, they'll be sending a bill in the mail for me instead.

If you hate the Social Security Administration like I do-You need Jerry Saddoris to deal with them…read more I am their client & I also get Workers Comp-late 1990's- WC lied to SSA telling them I had gotten $700,000 lump sum-Every year for 10 years I had to file that SSA money but not seeing a penny. I moved to Iowa 2005-my WC was dropped $200 a month so-from 2004 I lived off $1288.36 a month still having to claim my SSA-I contacted SSA 2011 just to see if I was ever going to get my monthly benefits back & I found out that I was getting $65,750.00 back pay & interest-I was thinking I was going to need to prove to SSA that I had claimed that money on taxes-I was driving past Saddoris CPA's-I literally turned around & went in made an appointment with Jerry-These folks are so helpful & very kind-patience-they know their stuff & will stand with you if you have to deal with the government-
