They are definitely a family-feeling dentist office: they are on a lake, in what clearly used to be a house, and you have to come in for 2 appointments before they do any real work or cleaning so they can get to know your mouth, teeth, history, etc. Some people have noted not enjoying this aspect, but personally it makes me feel cared for and like they are taking the time to really understand what I need.

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and inviting you can tell that it is a great place to work as well. The clinic is very bright and clean. Has things for the Littles to do while they're waiting. If you are afraid of the Dentist, this is a place for you. They actually care and make you feel like they want you to be as comfortable as possible.

Sold me a 800 dollar mouth guard to protect from grinding my teeth because they SHAVED A PERFECTLY FINE TOOTH, and changed my bite. Took me nearly a year to stop grinding my teeth after that. Sold me a a package to help pay for the cost. I got two "free" teeth cleaning visits for it. All three visits I raised concerns about an impacted tooth that the dentist brushed aside, more concerned with trying to get me to insert a fake molar where I had lost one...30 years ago. It's fine bro. How about that impacted tooth? No? A year later, they tried charging me for that same package again, no permission, again. Thankfully the bank rejected. I called them, explained that I would no longer be coming there and explained the reason why as to this attempt to charge me for a yearly package "deal." The receptionist blatantly stated they sent an email detailing this, acting like it was my fault for not checking my spam box. TLDR: They will rape your soul if you're not careful.

Plus, that dentist was in greenwood and my wife and I had moved to the far west side of Plainfield. So we began searching. Luckily, so luckily, we found Dr. Maupin. When we first got our teeth cleaned here, my wife had 7 cavities and I had 8! That was 6 months after our previous cleaning with the above mentioned, likeable, expensive dentist. So, although he was likeable, he clearly was doing nothing to help our oral health. After 3 years, some fillings, and a multitude of cleanings at Saratoga Family Dental with Dr. Maupin, we still love it here. We recently moved to the north east side of Indianapolis. Our new home is near a plethora of dentists, but we drive 45 miles just to see Dr. Maupin. If you need dental work, get here now. You won't regret your decision.

Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.
