One of my favorite coffee shops. They have tons of seating upstairs and downstairs. They have your food brought to your table like a restaurant. All the staff are so kind and helpful. Not to mention it's so cute inside, all the paintings of local artist's as well that you can purchase is so neat. The smoothies are so fresh and TO DIE FOR!!! This is the first cafe I've been to where the drinks are great, and the food is really good too! We got the cappuccino, Latte, breakfast sandwich, and BLT and all were excellent. The employees are incredibly nice and speedy, and the venue is very comfortable and causal, with plenty of amazing paintings to catch your eye, most you're welcome to buy. read more

Hope & Coffee serves excellent expresso based Java drinks, smoothies and homemade baked goods in a converted Victorian house in Tamaqua, PA. It runs as a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of area residents, and recovering substance abusers. They are to be lauded for that effort. The transformed building is beautifully reused, and is a comfortable cozy space to visit for caffeine and sweets. It still has the feel of a turn of the 20th Century home, with many rooms and time appropriate decor. Our Chai Latte (hot) and Lavender Blackberry Latte (cold) were well made and enjoyable to drink. My Blueberry Muffin (no pic) was moist and loaded with fruit. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. The ladies working there were clearly passionate about their purpose and exuded pride and gentle warmth. Commendable. By the looks of things the Tamaqua community is in good hands. read more

I can't believe no one has posted a review for this adorable little coffee shop! I saw a newspaper article about Hope and Coffee, but since it's about 2 hours from home. We made a special detour on our way to vacation and I'm glad we did. This is a non-profit business based on recovery from addiction and abuse of drugs and alcohol. It is a safe place for people to go for a cup of coffee, a chat or two play some board games. They have a meeting space upstairs where they periodically have events, or it's available to rent out for your own private parties. There are multiple seating areas, so if you want to find a Cozy Corner to read a book there are spaces for that here. The staff was wonderful and all of them support the mission of providing a safe base for people in recovery to go, a safe spot to enjoy the simple baked good or hot beverage. I just wish we had something similar close to home. I absolutely recommend you check it out. Don't expect fancy Starbucks drinks, just honest simple classic coffee beverages. read more

Delicious iced lattes and lattes. My wife and I started ordering online in the heart of the pandemic and doing curbside pickup. The inside is not open and offering food on weekends. Limited hours but well worth the wait for a good cup of coffee in Tamaqua. read more

Small, artsy cafe on Pine Street in Tamaqua has a friendly vibe and delicious drinks. Bagel with cream cheese was good, too, but focus is on coffees, teas and fruit drinks. Nice place to linger over conversations with friends. read more

I will be honest and say I have driven past this shop so many times and never stopped. I'm from out of town and last week I was stuck in what I'm calling Tamaqua traffic. I couldn't get to Dunkin, and I couldn't find anywhere else to stop. I needed the bathroom and thought well, I'll get some coffee and maybe they'll have a bathroom. The woman at the counter was so friendly. She wasn't even a smidge annoyed when I asked about the bathroom before ordering my drink! Then when I ordered my drink she was really pleasant. I'm glad I finally stopped here. I'll be stopping here from now on when I drive through Tamaqua!! They had a ton of yummy looking treats and it smelled so delicious in there too!! read more

Great coffee and atmosphere! Very welcoming staff. Big menu and lots of comfy space to hangout for however long you would like. Hours expand into the later evening (9pm on days except Sunday) so there's no rush to get in and out. Baristas are skilled in each drink and put their effort in. What a wonderful place! Walked in to a delicious aroma. A young lady there was making fresh blueberry muffins in back. Of course, I had to have one and it was warm and soooo good! My husband and I ordered a cappuccino to go with it which was equally as good. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. In addition to serving the public their mission is also to serve those in recovery with a safe place to gather and work. This place is a gem in the middle of Tamaqua. I've only been there twice. My first experience wasn't great. I asked for an Americano and was charged for half a cup of coffee in a paper cup. An Americano is a shot of espresso and hot water, which the barista was quick to explain. Yes but you fill the darn cup please. She wouldn't. I didn't go back for a long time, but I finally did and had a much better experience. A good cup of coffee, a cinnamon bun that was amazing, and a friendly atmosphere. read more
