I am sorry for his difficulties and hope he has found peace. If you care about what God has to share with you about His unconditional love for YOU through His son Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd tells you the truth. I found the members to be welcoming. No less than 3 members introduced themselves and tried to make connections for my first two visits. This congregation walks its talk. If you are looking for a church home, consider visiting Good Shepherd. It is Bible based and the congregation is joyful about the good news of salvation through Christ.

I should have known to avoid this church when I…read morewas greeted by a parishioner not with a "welcome," but with a stern lecture how I parked in the wrong spot. Amazingly, Good Shepherd claims to be proud of it's "welcoming nature." I have never been to a less friendly church. Ever. Continuing this "welcoming atmosphere," don't expect to fit in unless you have the correct surname. This church is nothing but one giant clique, much worse than any found in high school. If you aren't one of the "in" people, you can forget fitting in. Volunteering for a church board isn't a ticket to the "in group." All you are is a body in a pew and, hopefully, a check in an offering envelope. Despite the not-so-friendly atmosphere of church, my family remained members as our children were students in the day school. The school I initially was extremely satisfied with. The teachers were fantastic, the curriculum was excellent. However, powers that be ended up driving off some of the fantastic teachers. They were replaced, at least in one case, by an unlicensed teacher. The principal, however, lied and told us that she was licensed. That was the first of dozens of brazen lies that were told to our faces without shame or guilt. However, the greatest insults came not from the school, but from the pastor himself. Without going into details, one member stirred up many problems. Multiple people, myself included, resigned from boards on which we served with this individual. Rather than following the scriptural outline for handling a person who sins, the pastor came to the individual's defense, allowing him to drag my daughter's name through the mud. My daughter, now an adult, has nothing to do with organized religion. I blame this squarely on the pastor and the pastor alone. Ironically, the trouble-causing individual and his family have also left the congregation after additional confrontations with the pastor. The pastor subsequently insulted my wife, shortly after her mother had passed away, suggesting that she was bound for hell for not doing everything in her power to extend the life of her mother, terminally ill with cancer. Now my wife has pretty much nothing to do with organized religion, either. Finally, when my family stopped attending church, we received one letter. No phone calls, no home visits, no other effort to express concern. Just a letter asking if we still wanted to be members. So, if the church home you're looking for involves (1) not being welcomed; (2) making you feel marginalized; (3) being lied to; (4) having a pastor who can preach but doesn't know how to pastor; and (5) not having your soul cared for, then Good Shepherd is for you.

Visited St Paul's yesterday with a group on a Milwaukee Church Tour. Milwaukee has so many amazing…read morechurches, but it is impossible to top the stained glass windows at St Paul's. They have an amazing collection of Tiffany Stained Glass windows, including the largest window Tiffany Studios ever did for a church. To be able to take the opportunity to look at each of the windows - and yes, they even allow you to touch them - is really a treat. The process Tiffany used to simulate movement and texture in the clothing is truly remarkable. And the colors are fantastic, especially the turquoise of the rose window. The woodwork and tile in the church is also notable. The exterior of the church, including an ornate tower adorned with angels holding trumpets, is constructed from Lake Superior sandstone with a deep brick red color. The church was completed in 1884 and survived a disastrous fire in 1950. If you have an opportunity to see this church, don't pass it up.

I had a wonderful time and our tour guide,Jennifer, was phenomenal: she was clear, engaging, and a great storyteller. I recommend this tour for visitors but specially for locals; who will learn a lot about the history of their own city.

It is stunning and words and pictures.... Do not describe it. They have four relics from Saints. The Saints are Saint Carlos, Saint Francis, Saint Anthony, and Saint Clare. It is 100% handicap accessible. It has a very nice gift shop although small. And very nice restrooms.

As I walked inside the church, I was greeted with kindness and was allowed to step inside for a prayer. It's a very beautiful church. Once I was done with my prayer, and as I was leaving, I was given a booklet on Meditations. I was not expecting the booklet. But once I started reading on it throughout the day, it definitely made me feel like I needed it.

This is a newly formed church, and it's exciting to see what God is doing through this ministry. Pastor Neal teaches directly from Scripture, and the messages are clearly rooted in God's Word. Lutefisk wasn't the best many hard yellow chunks. Lefse was very good. For dessert pie is customary at a Lutefisk dinner they had cookies which was a little disappointing but they were good. It was confusing to serve yourself on potatoes & fixing but the fish was family style & no one came to clear the plates.
