I gave my life to Christ the first time I went because I was so moved! The worship is beautiful and sets the mood for you to connect with God perfectly. I didn't feel pushed or out of place at all. The pastor even offers a monthly evening where he meets with you to tell you more about the churches specific beliefs and to get to know him and some of the staff better. They give so much of their income to other missions and what not that they believe in and put little back into the church, but enough to be able to provide for a great staff, lots of events, and a good kids education. I'm thankful that my family came across this beautiful place that God has planted in Denton!

You could truly feel the Spirit moving throughout the service--it was powerful and uplifting. I really enjoyed myself and genuinely felt God's presence during worship and the message. From the moment I arrived to the time I left, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind, which made the experience even more meaningful. If I lived closer, this is definitely a church I would visit regularly just to get a deeper sense of the community and overall vibe. I would highly recommend The Village Church to anyone looking for a welcoming, Spirit-filled place of worship.

Since I have attended it for 20+ years, I seen closely Matt, Josh Patterson and the leadership and can tell you that they are pretty solid. The pastors take the time to get to know you personally and help you find your way in serving in the community and being a part of a positive blessed fellowship community. They privately hosted Erika Kirk which is odd because they're very marketing heavy with ads, billboards, and blasts. It's noted they're tracking their supporters information. I'm conservative so I very much align with Christain values but there's a lot of propaganda starting to happen here and Ed frequently talks of himself, famous people he knows, expensive trips or things he has, and is much less biblically focused. It's sad to feel this and type this as I've been here literally my whole life 29 years growing up and volunteering and investing financially heavily but my gut has told me this is not heading in a direction I can be apart of.

I served on the Kids Experience Team and never ONCE spoke about sexual orientation to any child, parent, or guest, as it is not my place nor in my prerogative to do so. I did come out to some of my friends who also were on the Kids Experience team. From that, someone told the leader of that team(at the time). The leader of the team and the campus pastor then proceeded to conduct a meeting with all of the people I told, not including me, and told all the parents to bring their kids to church early for said meeting. When one parent said she knew who it was(and didn't mention a name) they said my name when referring to me after that, proving they do NOT care about the PRIVACY of their members, by doing this they put me at risk. I would like to also mention the way we found out about this meeting was through another parent, they did not tell us that this was happening. They then scheduled a meeting with my parents and "outed" me to them(they already knew). My parents told them they would NOT be returning or donating anymore money to church who encourages hate. After 2 weeks, they finally scheduled a meeting with me, telling me I was off the Kids team and to "go on my journey with god." These people told me to talk to god about my sexuality and urged me to keep coming to their church. They told me I was the first person to serve with them to be "suspended" from the kids team because of this reason. After that I kept going to services, hoping that maybe I would feel better. I don't know if I was just more intune with it than before or what the deal was, but EVERY SERMON, no matter the circumstance, talked about how being gay was a sin and it was horrible and you shouldn't do it blah blah blah. After that I left, and 2 other family's left as well. I would never suggest this church to anyone, the way they treated me after this I will never forget. I haven't been to church for years because of this situation and fell into a depression. I started condemning God for the things that these people put me through, because that's what I associated with him. I have found my way back but I still suffer many doubts because of these individuals. I have never been to church that embodied the expression "No better hate than christian love" more.

Their "worship" music is awful and written by their music team, and rarely even mention God. Now they are starting a campaign to milk their attendees out of 25 million dollars. Only a glutton for punishment would attend this place!

There is construction and apparently a few different places to worship. We arrived early and followed a few people in. The beautiful chapel we went to was actually an overflow chapel. We could have sat in the main chapel. The overflow chapel had a small screen to watch the mass. Unfortunately, it was eye level and we could hardly see anything. The audio was off and on. Hopefully, the AV people weren't paid. If volunteers, then I understand . I suggest having someone who has never been here to come in as a mystery shopper type of visit and try to find their way around. This way they can offer suggestions as to signage, etc. We still have no idea where the main chapel is located! The priest gave a very good homily.

I've been a member of several churches in the past; but never one like this one! We have one of the best bands in the area too. The new Event Center is in the process of being built for rodeos, bull riding and any other events. I have been attending this church for almost 4 years now and it has grown so much that our Pastor has to preach two sermons on Sunday mornings. Once the Event Center is built; a new, bigger church will be built to accommodate more people to go back to having only one morning service on Sundays. Come on out and be Blessed!
