I was pretty active for most of my life until my 40s. Then came a sedentary lifestyle, an extreme…read moreweight gain, and a knee injury and surgery. I was now 70, having mobility challenges, and in chronic pain. I tried putting together an exercise program. After a couple of days of light exercise, I was in pain in my joints and tendons for a couple of weeks. I repeated this with several different exercises, with the same results. I needed help. My doctor referred me for 12 weeks of strength and balance training at ATI Physical Therapy on Old Spanish Trail in Tucson. I had the privilege of working with Noah Berg. Noah did all the things a good therapist would do. He assessed my condition and my goals. He designed a program for strength and mobility, and continually adjusted it as I progressed. He helped me work out at-home versions of the exercises, so I could maintain my progress after the 12 weeks ended. But he went above and beyond the standard. Noah has extensive knowledge of exercise physiology, and he clearly enjoyed educating me and answering my questions. When I reported symptoms such as restless sleep or odd pains, he was able to explain what might be was happening, and offer suggestions or tweak my program to help. He was invested in my progress, and compassionate when I spiraled over pain issues. I wanted to maximize my accomplishment for the 12 weeks. He helped me walk the line between not enough and too much. I was lucky to have Noah's help. I'll add a shout-out to Arielle, who was there for most of my sessions. She's cheerful and supportive, backed Noah seamlessly, kept the facility spotless, and folded mounds of laundry. I got really lucky, and I'm going to miss them both.

The staff is incredible, every one of them, and the clinic director, who I requested from previous visits, is the most knowledgeable and caring person. The personal care is outstanding. My rehabilitation is uncomfortable, as expected, but within a few days and with hard work from my end, my recovery has been better than I ever expected. First knee May 2024 and second knee December 2025. Busted foot 2019. I am nearly 100% thanks to the staff and director at this ATI. Zero billing issues, either. Everything was letter perfect. You have to complete ALL therapy sessions and work hard if you expect to have great and lasting results, The bedside manner of Dr. Mench and each of the individual staff are over-the-top first class, that is why I returned to this specific location. There are NO negatives, I was offered ice in the beginning when my knee was hurting. You cannot find a more caring and professional place to have physical therapy. The clinic is spotless; everything is sanitized after each use and if you chose this facility and put in the work, you will leave with very complete results. Every time I go, everyone remembers my name! Nothing negative, ALL positive!

My father was admitted to this facility following a hospital stay, with the recommendation that he…read morereceive approximately two weeks of physical therapy after surgery before returning home. Unfortunately, our family has become extremely concerned about both the quality of his care and his safety at this facility. My mother was not permitted to view the patient rooms when she toured the facility prior to his admission. Since his arrival, his medications have not been administered consistently, his call button has gone unanswered, and on one occasion his room door was closed while both he and his roommate were calling and yelling for help because no one had responded to the call button. Their calls for assistance went unheard. At this point, our family is no longer comfortable with him remaining at this facility, and my father wants to leave. We have been told that he cannot be discharged until he is seen by a physician, but that a physician will not be available until Monday. We have also been told that the physician may decline to approve his discharge. We are not asking the facility to determine whether our home-care plan is preferable to continued rehabilitation. We are asking for a clear and immediate explanation of what legal or medical authority prevents my father from choosing to leave the facility and return home with his family. Our goal is simply to bring him home safely and arrange appropriate in-home care and rehabilitation. Given the medication issues, unanswered calls for assistance, and our concerns about his safety, we do not believe it is appropriate for him to remain there solely because a physician is unavailable to process his discharge. Please provide us with the steps necessary to have him discharged as soon as possible, including whether he may leave against medical advice if a routine discharge cannot be completed. We would also like the name and contact information for the facility administrator, Director of Nursing, and patient/resident advocate or ombudsman so that we can address these concerns promptly.

A housekeeper was dragging a large bag of laundry? garbage? through the hallway. The rooms were small, even for two people, and noted that some rooms had three people crammed in. I saw residents sleeping on mattresses on the floor. The plaster was falling off the walls. Baseboards rotting. The sign for the Utility room was missing letters.
