Great selection of everything alcoholic! My fiancé and I were looking for a specific semi-dry cider that a friend brought to our house but the space in the fridge where the cider would've been was empty. Our friend inquired with an employee at the front named Tynan and he went to the back several times to see what stock they had left. Sure enough, he came back minutes later and confirmed they had some! At the checkout line, everything moved smoothly. The woman commented on my fiancé's t-shirt and was polite and kind to all the customers. It was refreshing to see that customer service was still in the forefront even on a busy Saturday night. This place is garbage and it is such a shame. No dogfish head 60 minute cold! Only makes up the majority of their sales but okay. They said they will get it cold (like an average store). But they lied!! Why? So pathetic. What terrible management and terrible customer service. Don't worry, randomly 4 obscure dogfish types are cold, lol! Such a waste of a good location. Made a yelp specifically because of this! Just had the worst experience shopping for a party here at around 1:30pm on January 4th. I was looking for a specific wine someone wanted, so we asked the manager if he could point us to where it was. He was super nasty, and while we were walking to where he said the wine was he kept SHOUTING at us like 7x "LOOK AT THE BACK WALL, LOOK AT THE BACK WALL, LOOK AT THE BACK WALL. LOOK. AT. THE. BACK. I have gone here several times in the last few months because they carry my new favorite bourbon, Hudson Whiskey Four Part Harmony, it's the only place I've found it locally. First couple times shopping here I thought, okay maybe the staff is just having an off day, but I stopped in earlier this week and it's as if they were making an effort to be rude. Steve and his team provided the liquor for my nearby wedding this June. Steve was super accommodating in ensuring that I made and received the right selections for my big day. Even though I waited until the week before the wedding to finalize the order, Steve was so responsive and helpful, and worked with me and my caterer to make sure that everything went smoothly. I was in the area and stopped in to buy beer . I was very impressed with the large selection of beers and wine this store has. This Super Buy Rite had several wall to wall refrigerators of just cold beer. There were so many they broke it down into sections. One section is imported, one section was just IPAs, and speciality craft beers that are very hard to find. One section just regular beers like Bud, Michelob, Miller, Corona, Rolling Rock etc. My friend was looking for Dog Fish Head beer. This Super Buy-Rite had four kinds alone of this beer. There were so many beers it was overwhelming. I was looking for a Grapefruit Summer Shandy. They had tons of it. The Summer Shandy was on sale. Since I wasn't familiar with the store I asked for help. A nice gentleman walked me over to where I needed to find the beer. He was very knowledgeable when it came to finding and picking a new beer. The prices at the store are very good, and they always are running specials. There is also a large selection of wines, and champagnes, and hard liquor. The store is located in Pennington, New Jersey on the circle. There's plenty of free parking. If I'm ever back in the area I wouldn't hesitate to come here it's a great liquor store. read more

I stopped in this location to pick up a case of beer. I went to the cooler area and found what I was looking for. The sign stated that two 12 packs would be $30.99. When my total came up to 35 I knew there was clearly an error. I was told that the price was only for the solid case. Not the two twelve packs. The man came back with a full case which then rang up at $31.99. He assured my that this was the price. I was refunded the amount from the initial price and went to check one last time as I know the price I saw. I removed the sign that clearly stated two twelve packs for $30.99 and brought it to the register. The man then threw the sign in the trash stating that the price wasn't right. When I requested the additional money back the man seemed annoyed that I was asking for this. .. Long story I felt no warm fuzzies from this man who clearly didn't want to be bothered. read more

This has always been an excellent liquor store with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The beer and wine selections are expansive, and now that it's a Super Saver, the prices are competitive with Joe Canal's. I recently tried a White Burgundy for the first time and loved it. I went to Super Saver to buy a bottle for my wine rack but honestly didn't know where to begin. The employee I spoke with provided me with a quick and informative lesson and the bottle I purchased was wonderful. The best liquor store in the area. read more

Ok, ironically called super-saver, the prices here are actually super uncompetitive, with even basics for cooking such as a 750 ml of smirnoff $6 higher than two stores just down Rt 31. (ouch!) The location kind of is a hassle to get to when it's crowded and the parking lot is just a mess to get in and out of, and the store itself is almost as dingy as the one .25 miles away. Other than that, it's great, and i guess +1 star for the ironic title, as well as the fact that it does have OK selection at least. read more

I just stopped in to pick up a few non-essentials today. Check the date...that's right, the afternoon of New Year's Eve. Not the best day for shopping at a liquor store unless you absolutely need to. The place was packed, the lines were long, but the service was fantastic. They had plenty of staff offering to assist people with their selections and the lines moved briskly. I stopped over today Saturday 10/26 at 1:30, because my friend told me they received a Blanton's delivery. She just left the store at 12:30 and purchased a bottle. She let me know that the inventory was kept in a locked room in the back area of the store. She saw that they had at least 6-12 bottles of Blanton's. I quickly went over there within 10 minutes to purchase a bottle. When I asked the elderly gentleman with the white beard, he denied that he had any inventory of Blanton's. He stated and I quote "They had none and didn't receive any". I will never go into this store again. He did not tell the truth and I would never purchase from a store where honesty is NOT the best policy. And furthermore where they use discriminatory practices on their paying customers. Hopefully no one else comes across this gentleman and his unprofessional management style. read more

It's a bit out of my area, but whenever I am near Pennington, I stop by. I have even gone there in search of hard to find items( an excellent rhubarb liqueur) You can search their website to see if what you are looking for is available here. They probably have the best selection of beers in Mercer county. Very good selection of wines as well, but you must be prepared to wander around the case displays. Very good prices if you join the bottle club. If you have friends from out of town who are beer snobs, bring them here. read more

Well I've only had one incorrect price charge lately. The whiskey was on sale for 29.99 in one area and on sale for 28.99 in the area where they have the large whisky/whiskey bottles. It rang up at the higher price $29.99. It was only one dollar which is not a lot of money. They fixed the problem and gave me the $28.99 price. Their prices are generally very good so the overrings are not too serious in the grand scheme of things. Don't expect a quick in-out on a Friday evening. That's a busy time. The selection is good and they are quite helpful if you want some advice on a range of drinks such as perhaps sherry or champagne. read more

Drove by this place all the time, until one day I'd hit up all my usual shopping spots looking for a certain liqueur and nobody had it, so I decided to drop in and check. Great selection of beer and liquor--I don't drink wine so I can't speak to that, but their selection of beer is fantastic! Hard to find, craft, and a lot of it is cold! Liquor section was a little hard to navigate but an employee was happy to help me find what I was looking for. Never crowded and it seems to be more popular among the college folk in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only 4 stars because the outside looks a little sketchy--looks like a giant dive bar/saloon. Also, I can ask for special orders of brandy and other things that are not on the shelves. My mother in law is from Kentucky and likes certain brandy from there. The sales help will always attempt to order it for me and reach out to me when it arrives, very convenient. Went here the other day to pick up something on my ride to Philly; what a mistake. Smelled like wet garbage and the selection was terrible. Prices are more expensive than PA and to top it off the cashiers are very rude. What a giant waste of time. Absolutely love this place. Huge selection of both foreign and domestic beers at decent pricing. I'm not a wine guy but they have a gigantic wine selection as well! Love the single import beers selection, always too many to look through. I even asked if I could get a special order of Haitian beer and they were very courteous about it saying that it's possible and the pricing isn't too bad for a special order, the manager just quit recently so unfortunately I'll have to wait till the next manager is in to get that order through. Man, I wish there was a place like this near me (I used to go to college in Ewing, but no longer). I have never seen a bigger selection of beers anywhere... I've never even seen anything close. It's amazing. The prices are not the greatest, but they're also not the worst, and you really can't beat this selection. It's really quite phenomenal. Whoever owns this store deserves mad props for having such a selection. They claim to have over 700 kinds of beer. Of course I can't actually verify that, but they definitely have far more kinds of beer than any other place I've come across. read more

Circle gets an 'A+' for selection, but I have to mark it down somewhat for higher than average prices. (I'm referring only to the beers, and can't comment on the wines.) I do really appreciate that I can ALWAYS find a beer that I've never tried, and am more than willing to pay a premium for that selection. But when I'm just grabbing a 6er of a common east coast micro -- say Victory, Smuttynose, or Magic Hat -- it stings to pay a couple bucks more and know it. The Hopewell BuyRite store is, dangerously, right on my way home ... and it's a rare Friday that I don't stop by to stock up on something new and interesting. The prices are great, sales are frequent, and the selection of wines, beers and spirits is fantastic. Best of all, the staff is knowledgeable about all of the products, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can steer you to something similar (or order what you need). There's always something intriguing in the "taste-testing" section, too, which is available every day in addition to the weekly tasting sessions. There's nothing fancy or flashy about the store itself, but I'd much rather they put their money into the steak rather than the sizzle :-) And THAT they do exceedingly well. read more
