I've had the chance to browse the wine selection, and it is legit. Some close outs that I've tried in the under $10 range were very good, and mid range choices have been tasty too. They offer more expensive items as well, but I usually do not spend over $20 for a bottle unless it is a VERY special occasion. I was further impressed when I saw that they carry my favorite local winery, and at cheaper( pre-discounted) prices than are available there. The scotch section is better than other stores of this size, and items I buy elsewhere are a few $ cheaper here. They also carry a few very good lower priced single malts that I've not seen elsewhere. I recently grabbed a Deanston for about $21, it drinks like examples double the price. I'm not a frequent beer drinker so the limited selection does not impact me. I do enjoy Stella hard cider, again a few $ cheaper here than any other place I know of. Lastly just a note about customer service. On each visit I've seen the same gentleman at the register, he seems most knowledgeable of all the employees, and has given me some good advice. On my must recent visit I asked his opinion between 2 Pinot Noirs, one being $7 more. He steered me towards the cheaper, and it was a good pick. This is now my go to store unless I am hunting for a rarer beer or wine.

I too am close to being a fan of this very nice liquor store, literally steps away from my…read moreneighborhood. I am probably more snobby in my alcohol consumption than many folks. And it's just in the selection here that keeps me from being a true fan. That being said I can see myself stopping by, or maybe even stumbling in without a car if ever the need arises;) My first impressions were promising. Wide open aisles without case stack displays everywhere. Leading off the first aisle is local NJ wines, for the most part sweet ones but with a few decent dry also. Prices were pretty much inline with other local retailers. There is overhead and floor signage to find specific sections easier. The French offerings are pretty sparse, but you have a few $20 ish and slightly higher options. Regrettably I skipped the Italian section completing so that will be in my list for the next visit. I did see 2 higher end Barolos in a glass display that housed other more expensive bottles. The California offerings were slightly better, here you will find a few bottles over $30 from know growers. But I noticed a few more widely known items were a buck or 2 higher than other local shops. In the spirit category, there are decent selections in Scotch and possibly tequila, less so for bourbons. But the catch is you have to chose from available choices, not necessarily what you came in looking for. That could mean finding a new fav. Or something you'll end up using as a mixer.... The beer and lighter drink section left me wanting for more. There were a few interesting brands I've not heard of, but really no sours or ciders to speak of. I eventually made my way to the back of the store where there is a non refrigerated section of less mainstream items. Here I noticed a few local brews and ciders, and my eventual purchase, Rodenbach in euro pint cans. I've never seen them before so yes, I did find something I wasn't expecting here! Customer service was friendly by all 3 employees I encountered, I was even asked if I needed any help. I have a few items in mind I saw there that I may have to come back for too. Great option for Hamilton residents not wanting to go to large box stores. This one was not too small and crowded, nor too big and imposing. 3.5 stars and counting

Put on my mask and gloves and walked in for the first time. It is a big warehouse style store, with good prices and friendly staff. I found my way to the rear where the cases of pilsner were piled up on wood pallets. The large display of Corona caught my attention and the irony was inescapable. Modelo Cervesaria has stopped production of this line due to its name association with the pandemic, but that didn't mean they weren't going to allow their distributors to sell what was already in stock. Why not? After all, it isn't labeled "COVID LIGHT". That might give me pause. So, I pulled a box from the stack and proceeded to the cashier. In another time my appearance with mask, gloves and black hat would have set off alarm in the employees, and maybe even a sawed off from under the counter. In this new reality I was met with a smile and gratitude for stopping in. Their wine and whiskey aisles seemed to lack much variety compared to the big boys, but it was more than adequate for a quick booze purchase. I would certainly visit again when in the vicinity.

Pretty good price too! Saw it in NYC for $24.99 4packs, this store sells it for $13.99. It is like a bougie cocktail in a can! Store also has a nice selection of wines, and sell Polish beer. Also sell one of my favorite Pinot Grigio bottles for $22.99 this is on the less expensive side I have seen it sold for in NJ. The owner and the employees who work at the store are really great and hard working! Great store! Hidden gem! Busiest times from 3-7pm Wednesday- Saturday depending on the weather.

Still, just a block from the Trenton Farmers Market, so there is utility in shopping there during a run for veggies, fruit and bakery goods. Beware the Louisville Slugger under the counter. But, wise to keep it to the bare necessities.

I think this is a first for me, a second update for a total of 3 reviews of the same business. And…read more2021 seems to be a year for updates as well. I can thank a global pandemic for renewing and invigorating my interest in fine spirits, and this shop in particular for having a depth of variety not found elsewhere in Hamilton or neighboring towns. Lately my drink of choice has been wine and cocktails, but previously and during the height of Covid, I became immersed in sours and ciders. This place has both in abundance, in fact I don't think it's possible to try all of them, as they keep getting new ones in. My trip today to find a new sour proved fruitful( pun intended) but also time consuming. I have learned from experience that it's helpful to bring my reading glasses with me, there's just so much new stock to view and labels seem smaller every year. Along with old favs I saw a number of new sours and settled on the lesser of 2 pricey options. I may have gone with the pricier one had there been someone with experience of the brewery and firsthand knowledge of its pedigree. That will probably haunt me until I go back and shell out the $ to try it myself;) I also took some time today to peruse the Scotch selection, which is also a favorite of mine in cooler weather. That is what prompted me to update this. It may not be the biggest of known shops to me, but the prices are amazing. I noticed that some of those items are on sale. There is no clear signage except for a small shelf tag which on some items show previous price. The specific item I was pricing was about $5 less than a place I thought was the lowest, this item was not on sale either. It appeared to be very nice gift boxy bottles from last holiday that were $10 or more off of the original. I'm definitely going back to take advantage of at least one of those. I also spent more time in the wine aisles. Again great prices on some of the more upscale but still widely available Ca wineries. I think the selection is very good but again not quite as good as Canals. However I think they will match or beat most prices. Customer service in general is very good, esp at the checkouts. I think having a wine/ and or beer expert around at all times would be beneficial to this store. I asked again while at the register and was told he would be in later in the day. So it seems that this is a q they get and there is an expert on hand some of the time. It's also cool that they have food trucks around on the weekends. There are in store tastings too which I've not had a chance to try. Definitely my favorite liquor store by far for this extended area. Thanks for carrying so much local and craft brew items!

They have impressive selection of wines that are organized well and span the gamut of price ranges. Today was an interesting trip. I picked up a mobile order at the IHOP just a minute down the road and decided I would stop into Buy Rite and stock up as the governor of New Jersey was set to make a big announcement related to the COVID-19 outbreak which I expected to follow suit of NY where non-essential business would have to close. Upon entering the store I was taken back by the long line of people with the same idea. I knew I probably shouldn't be out and surrounded by this many people but I was taking all the precautions and had my trusty bottle of Trader Joe's hand sanitizer spray in my side pocket. What scared me a bit at this location was the lack of precautions taken by this store. People leaving the store and passing along baskets and carts to other customers with nobody wiping them down. Employees without gloves or masks. No sign of wipes or hand sanitizer anywhere. All in all, this is still a good spot to stock up on booze, wine, and craft beer, or even fill your growler but I won't return until this pandemic is over, even if it remains open.
