Ok I start from the beginning to how found this Gem of a Jewelry store. First think that happend…read morewas my beautiful Fiancé snagged her engagement ring on her shirt and pulled out a diamond from her ring. This saddened her greatly so I promptly went strait to yelp to find a jeweler that could repair the damaged ring. I found one of only 2 Yelp jewelers in the central KY area that gave quotes directly on Yelp. I shot Alternative a photo of the damaged ring and within a few hours a friendly Gentleman named Danny gave me a price quote and a turn around time. I was very happy with both the price and promptness of the turn around time. I slide into the store and meet Danny which evaluated the engagement ring damage and found that it was a bit worse that the photo I showed him. He found about 6 of the other diamonds loose and a prong broke which was the cause of the diamond becoming lost out of the set. Danny stood behind the original quote and gave me the option to secure the other diamond at the small increased price from the original quote. It was a no brainer decision for the piece of mind of not having other loose stones in her ring. One week later i get a phone call from the shop that the ring is ready. I call Danny the next day to let him know that i am picking the ring up and that I maybe a tad bit later than there closing time of 5pm. Danny never hesitated to keep the store open till I got there. I bet nobody else in the area would do that. Moral of the story The stone was replaced, ring was beautifully cleaned, and all the loose stones were secured! It was outstanding work preformed on the repair and Danny is a true pleasure to deal with. Did i mention that they have been in business for like 20 years? I am very happy knowing that if there is a need for me to purchase repairs or custom jewelry I have a home to run to in the area! Thank you Danny and Alternative Jewelry for all the attention!
