We showed up to play port around 8 PM today. I was EXTREMELY UPSET and CONFUSED that I had a worker come up to me (out of the blue ) today and say to me that they are closing at 9 PM because "IT'S SLOW". I rarely complain, but to me that just seems (lazy) when people pay money and are using your games until close. Just let them play! Really guys an hour until close and you do that?

I went to see if, perhaps, someone turned it in. No one did, but the staff (without asking or expecting anything!!!) went and got me ALL of my tokens reimbursed! They were fricken awesome and so accommodating ...plus, they were insanely busy! Also, they had such patience while the kids ..very carefully picked their prizes. I give them all props! Great team, and very kind, understanding, patient, hard-working staff!!! And the boys LOVED lazer Tag!! Keep up the good work! Plus, I am a product of the 80s and 90s..so I love the nostalgia it brings....phyical tokens & tickets.....and actual attainable prizes :)

Only downside was we got there about 10 mins after opening so it took about 20 mins to get checked in. But the line moved as fast as it could. Would come back, no doubt.

First, I noticed massive sections of roofing were missing, leaving plywood sheeting exposed to the elements. The gutters were gone, and the fake palm outside was missing a bunch of fronds. Inside, the place is in massive need of a deep clean/power wash and coat of paint. For example, the walls of the wave pool are stained and discolored. More concerning is the leaking under the seams of the slides- creating rusty spots, staining on the pipes, water damage to the ceiling, and deterioration of the decking material that is visible when you reach the top platform for the waterslides. Plus, the showers had black mold in the women's side. It's also expensive: $221 for 2 adults and two kids over 48" on a Sunday. The large locker rental was $22. Two churrus and 1 chicken tender serving were $21. Our kids had a blast and we bonded as a family, which made it all worth it. The lifeguards were plentiful and attentive. Regardless, I don't think we will return. If Splash Lagoon can't get the obvious maintenance issues right, what are they missing? The overall physical structure seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

I had been to a couple weddings there before, and both couples raved about the staff, but you can't truly know how incredibly wonderful and helpful they are until you book with them yourself! Truly the best service, and such a gorgeous venue. I was slightly hesitant to tour because I didn't want our wedding to blend in with our other friends' who got married there, but with our vision and special touches, and Katie and her team's guidance and execution, every wedding is so uniquely yours we couldn't be happier with how everything went. I'm certain I will miss something amazing here because there was SO much, but these top three stand out for me: 1. The food was excellent. The bruschetta chicken specifically was incredibly flavorful, roast beef so tender, and garlic mashed potatoes, alfredo, and green beans with mushrooms just so so so good. Many guests have texted me saying they're still thinking about it a week later. Also, we have multiple guests with allergies. We fully expected those guests to just not put those items on their plates and eat the rest. Nick's said, we can do better than that and made special dishes for five or so guests (like salmon and sweet potato for my mom, mashed potatoes pulled aside before garlic was added, and green beans plated before mushrooms added, and storing and delivering special gluten free desserts for guests needing them). They were SO considerate in making sure every guest got the full experience of our wedding and enjoyed every bite. 2. The above-and-beyond hospitality went so far beyond food, too. One guest was on crutches and in pain and the Nick's team brought her ice for her injury. My family was coming from out of state and allowed them to stay in the Inn four nights, compared to the normal 1-2 nights. By the way, the Inn team is incredible too! Every time we walked by the desk they asked how we were doing and if they could get us anything. They checked on us in our rooms getting ready, and in the kitchen while having meals with our family. The whole wedding and extended weekend, both teams not only made sure my husband and I had everything we needed at all times, but also every wedding party member, and all our parents/grandparents. Truly incredible service. 3. Finally, the planning and coordination services that is included in the booking is invaluable! Other venues charge so much for that, or you have to find your own external person. Katie met with us for hours in advance to look at our Pinterest board, talk through our ceremony readings, talk about our families, and find ways to honor everyone and every tradition, with decor that reflects our style. Big bonus: being able to borrow some of their decor is huge for budget- AND environmentally-conscious newlyweds like us. AND, being able to trust their team to set up our dream decor and not have to worry about taking off extra time from work and adding extra stress to our plates to set it all up ourselves day-before (and tear it all down after the wedding) allowed us to be present with family and enjoy each other's company. I've heard from so many newlyweds and to-bes about how their wedding was more stressful than enjoyable, and that was NOT our situation at all. It truly was the Best Day Ever, like Katie said every time we spoke. I cannot imagine a better venue and team and I'm so glad we got to celebrate the start of our forever here. THANK YOU KATIE, SARAH, AND THE ENTIRE NICK'S PLACE TEAM!!! You are truly the best!!!!

I had never been here before in in spite of frequenting the Chautauqua area, my whole life. But, I finally had an occasion because my tiny niece was the perfect age for this place. There were a ton of rides that were perfect for her as a three year-old. Also, they had rides that were good for ages 4 to 6 as well. She really enjoyed the little roller coaster. Watch out that it is actually a little rough for the adults to ride on because it does jerk a little. Also, there were some really cute little boat rides, including one that took took the children around in a circle. There was very little that she was too small to ride on, so it was completely fantastic. Also, we were able to get her a wristband that gave her all inclusive access to rides. For a few rides that do require adult accompaniment for littles, the adult gets to ride free. There's a food spot towards the bottom of the hill and I highly recommend it. I was able to get platters of fries and corn, dogs and pizza, for not too much money. This is a clutch when it came to reducing the chance of overstimulated little kid meltdowns. Also, it was very sunny, and there was very little shade, so bring the sunscreen. Also, they have free boat parking. So, boating over and walking in is a great option if you happen to have or be renting a boat.

Craig and Nicole are very accommodating to any needs you may have, and they have a full snack bar as well as offer free popcorn (and they have every flavor shaker you could think of, and many I'm sure you've never seen). The smaller 30-person theatre area is perfect for a more intimate event like the debut of a locally made movie, or an acoustic performance. The seats are VERY comfortable and I'm almost ashamed to admit having to fight to stay awake more than once due to overcomfort hahaha. They also offer VR Gameplay on their top-of-the-line gaming laptop, and bolster an impressive inventory of games. Other than the VR and the theatre area, Erie Movie House also has an air hockey table, loads of arcade cabinets, many of which have TONS of game choices, an area where they have a super comfy couch, and an NES, SNES, SEGA, ATARI, and more; all with cartridge ROMs of every existing title. They made wall art with the cable management going from the consoles to the very large flat display tv, and even have a working (free) payphone! Classic malt-shop style jukebox for some tunes, fun gimmicky Addams Family electric grip thing which makes your hands all tingly... but my favorite thing is PINBALL. Not only do they have several classic pinball machines, they have a DIGITAL pinball machine that has literally almost EVERY pinball machine ever made on its hard drive. And you might be thinking that it wouldn't match up to the real thing, but it is SLICK. They pretty much have to pry me off of it every time I'm there. We hosted my daughters 13th birthday party there, and it was very reasonably priced, and Craig and Nicole actually even opened an hour earlier for us (due to my mixup: I scheduled 6pm and the invites said 5). Would definitely host another party there, the kids had a blast and I did too! I have also hosted metal concerts with them, and they're wonderful with promotion, and always make sure that each band is paid for their performances. Top notch people own and operate this place. And if your event is 21+ there is even a liquor store next door! Highly Reccomend, obviously.
