We decided to continue our ritual here in Florida. Hopsized is easily the best beers in the SWFL area. There are lots of varieties, all executed well. Everything was served promptly in proper glassware. Everyone in our party agreed their respective style was well made. The open indoor/outdoor atmosphere is really enjoyable as well. Very nice space, large and airy. Cameron was our bartender and was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I both had flights of 4 beers each which was fun and informative. We are both big IPA fans but felt the choices were limited which is fine but limited our choices. I enjoyed 3 of the 4 but my husband was disappointed which again, it's all personal taste. Because of that we won't go back as we feel their style of brewing isn't what we look for. However, try it out, you may find something interesting. I went to checkout Hopsized Brewing with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. We got to talk with the owner, Victor and his wife. Victor told us all about their journey to opening up this awesome brewery. I really liked their decor and their setup of the bar and how spacious it was. The music aided in the ambiance and atmosphere of this cool brewery. Their stickers were really neat too. Victor was so friendly and outgoing, and he also even gave us some beer schwag to keep, complimentary. Very large location with a huge parking lot. It's more of a strip mall vibe than I'm used to for a brewery. The actual brewing tanks and process didn't seem to be a big focus here. But it was a comfortable environment with plenty of seating, including at the bar. I needed wi-fi to get a few things done, and it worked great and I even found a few seats with power outlets. The staff was great! The girl I talked to helped me narrow down what beers I might like. I tried Coveted and Ghost... both were great. I preferred Ghost, but would recommend a 10oz of each - why not? 100% my fav part was the giant Christmas tree. I needed that on the hottest day in the middle of June. So fun. It would be super cool to put out "wrapped" boxes to do a summer food drive or back to school drive for a local charity. Definitely worth trying this place out! read more

Well! What a delightful,cozy,little brewery! I simply loved this place. Nestled within a business complex, this is the type of "locals favorite" place that is destined to blow up once people become more aware of it. I submit this review with some reluctance as I almost want to keep this place to myself( and just a few others LOL!) My party and I were returning from lunch when we stumbled upon this fine establishment. When we entered, we notice there was some sort of wedding function going on. A reception?.....A rehearsal....? I'm not sure. What I do know is all were joyous and having a great time. That should tell you something. When a wedding party chooses a brewery for their function. It ain't a dive. This place was bright,decorative, and alive. There was plenty of room for the wedding party,locals,and people like me who just happen to stumble upon it, to sit,visit, or party, without impeding the others. Their beer was fantastic and, if you stop by, don't leave without trying one of their "shushies". They are a must have for beer drinkers and non beer drinkers alike. My party spent the better part of four hours enjoying the beer,talking to some of the locals,and enjoying some of the games they have available to play. This place felt like an extension of your home bar and hanging out with friends. Such a laid back vibe. Our beer tender was friendly,accommodating, and informative. She was simply delightful. While I worry that as more people discover this hidden treasure, it will become more difficult to find a seat when I " just swing by", I can't be selfish. People need to know about this gem. Go. Recently Lisbeth and I had the opportunity to visit Hopsized shortly after a two-week trip to Germany and Austria. I tried three different brews. First up was the Kolsch. Kolsch is not the most popular style beer in America but in Europe it is quite prominent. The Gold Medal winning Kolsch would proudly be served in any German Bar or Restaurant. Next, I tried the Schwarzbier. Very much the same result another excellent beer with a presence of Chocolate. Last was the Munich Lager, once again another great brew. I wanted to like it but the beer was just too hoppy and tart. Great open, floor to ceiling windows with an all-ages crowd and several dogs. There were 2 different musicians on a Saturday evening with a constant flow of customers in and out. There was a pizza food truck (which looked terrific) and 2 small craft venders which I appreciated and added to the community feel. Back to the beer. The bartender wasn't able to articulate the difference between 2 lagers so she provided a taste of each, neither was my style. Hubby & Dad had U IPA and another IPA, they didn't like either and didn't finish them. They were out of seltzer and the only wine selection was the Robert Mondavi brand-not that I expected a decent wine selection but after trying 4 different beers that I didn't like I wanted something else. We went expecting the now-shuttered Momentum Brewery (RIP) and was underwhelmed here other than it's a nice location with ample parking and off of Rte 41 for groups of people to meet. read more

They had live music but the acoustics were a bit off as the ceiling was high and the floor is concrete. The vibe is industrial with Edison light bulbs, cheap plastic chairs and a concrete floor. This is my favorite brewery in the area. I've been to others and they are good but this place is a hidden gem. It is in an industrial park but there is plenty of parking as we were there on a Saturday afternoon. Some friends of ours met us there as they highly recommended it. I tried the Slainte, a red ale, the Bonita Nights, a stout, and the stefoweizen, a blonde. All three were excellent but the stout was the best stout I have had in a very long time. Typically I am not a fan of red ales but this one was really good. Fun place to go. They have food trucks that come by too. Dogs are welcome. We will be back. read more

Good brewery with a nice vibe First time here - we came in while on vacation and thought it was a really good place. It's a nice open air feel and they had a good variety of beers that all were good, some were REALLY good such as their Grown-Ups At Play IPA. There was a good truck when we were there called H-anger Management and we wanted a snack so we tried their shepherds tater tots (think shepherds pie ingredients over tater tots) and it was really good.
