So give your self a good better best kind selection when ordering for a local beer menu! Food: My wife had an appetizer portion of boneless wings: looks to be white meat chicken that was pan fried till crispy not deep fried which she enjoyed the crispness off. She got there bbq sauce tasted like baby rays but didn't confirm. We split a large bar style pretzel! Super salty but in a good way. Then we made the discovery as I asked about a side of honey mustard! THEY MAKE THERE OWN HINEY MUSTARD WITH REAL Honey!!! Delicious! I had the Baja shrimp tacos! We're a good size definitely recommend! Nice hint of kick!! Our baby who was with us had Mac and cheese it was Kraft. But we were ok with that knowing exactly what is was. I've been here three times with friends and both times I enjoyed my food. I've had their burger, Philly sandwich, and mahi sandwich. All different flavors and really good. Each time the servers were awesome. My friends and I love conversing and the servers were all friendly and had no problem keeping up with conversation. Well once seated the waitress finally decided to grace us. We ordered two Turtle season beers and one other IPA. We were told the keg had an issue so no turtle, strike 1 We ordered another IPA and after 5 minutes or so waitress returned and said they didn't have that either. Finally we ordered a beer and they had it. We ordered dinner and waited 30 plus minutes before flagging down someone pointing out three other tables received their food before us and we ordered way before them? After a few minutes three meals arrived and one was wrong and we were able to flag down our waitress who clearly was overwhelmed. I noted that I had ordered the Fisherman's Feast which included Cole slaw, I told waitress that I ordered Cole slaw but NO FRIES and meal came out with Fries but no Cole slaw? She said I have evidence here but didn't want to argue? Really the other 2 diners and a 2 year old heard exactly what I ordered. Needless to say the Cole slaw arrived a few minutes later. The shrimp and grouper were good and clams were ok but slightly overcooked. 2.2 ~5 One diner ordered a patty melt and it was just flat out bland. No onions just a slab of ground beef and cheese making it marginal at best. It seems they forgot to grill the bread and after all we waited over half an hour so they certainly had time. Score 1-5 the other dinner had Philly steak flat bread that was 5-5 so one thing went right. Cheese pizza tasted like it was from a bowling alley or 7-11 so that was a 1-5 score. I'd been here before on a previous trip to meet some friends for a beer, so when my friend and I were coming back from Marco Island Beach I suggested stopping here for dinner... it was ok... Our waitress was new so she couldn't really offer recommendations other than "other people have said it's pretty good" when asked about menu choices. We chose an elderberry beer and a mango cart and waited for our orders. I had the tenderloin beef tips since it seemed hearty. My friend opted for the Key West Grouper. My beef tips were ok. Something about the gravy made it seem as though it was from a can, the mashed potatoes had no real flavor, and the tips were very inconsistent in texture with some being tender and juicy and others being tough and chewy. Overall it wasn't something I would order again. My friend thought her grouper was ok. The Key lime beurre blanc sauce was interesting; slightly creamy with a tang. She said the grouper was cooked well, but felt it was lacking in the amount of crab and shrimp stuffing placed on it. She wasn't mad at it, just wished it had a bit more substance. She did enjoy the sweet potato fries. I went to Marco Island Brewery with family who were visiting, to get some drinks and watch the women's Iowa Hawkeye basketball game. The bartender was nice enough to change the channel on one of the tvs so we could watch the game. We got seats right up at the bar, right when we walked in. I liked that they had a pretty decent selection of craft beer on tap. We all ordered drinks. Great service throughout our visit. The bartenders were friendly and fun to talk to. We came to Marco Island Brewery for a quick snack and some craft beers. Unfortunately we had a change of heart after we walked into the restaurant. Service: 2 out of 5 - Overall the service was ok. We were seated quickly and our waiter came quickly to get our orders. He was attentive, but kept disappearing to talk to people at the front of the entrance. Beer: 3 out of 5 - The beer was ok. They only had 4 house beers, but brought in a bunch of other craft beers from around the area. This felt less like a brewery and more like a bar. I had the four house beers. They were good, but aren't anything I'd say is a must try. Ambiance: 0 out of 5 - We should have known better when we came in and the restaurant was almost completely empty except for a few smokers outside. This place was disgusting. From the moment we walked in it smelled like a mixture of cigarettes and something sour and there were flies everywhere. There was an outdoor bar where people could still smoke, but the fans and breeze blew the smoke into the restaurant. We decided to only get drinks and skip eating. After we finished our drinks, my wife went to the bathroom where she found a condom wrapper in one of the stalls. Definitely recommend avoiding this place until they clean up. read more

We came here for my birthday lunch after spending a day at the beach! I'm here to tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly! I questioned why they had such average reviews before coming in but now I get it. Let's start with the good! The food and drinks were great: typical bar menu but more expansive and we loved all of our fried options. The loaded tots are MASSIVE and very filling. I feel like it should come with a warning: you will not be hungry for your meal if you order this. 5 adults couldn't even finish them, but they were so good! The beer flight was pretty decent. I used to work at a brewery so my standards are high but I liked all of the options we selected - mainly ales! The burger was okay and the Lettuce was wilted, the tomato soggy and the onion was fine. I really did like the onion ring and again, all of the fried options we got were great! I didn't get jalapeños because it looked really spicy from pictures, seeds and all. The bad: they asked the server if they did anything special for birthdays and he just said "not really but I could do a virgin daiquiri or something"... unfortunate they don't really go above and beyond! The place is open so there's flies swarming around, especially at meal time! The staff was half super nice and half lacked customer service. For example, a lot of them were collecting at the front talking super loudly and just on their phones (a frequent issue my old brewery had) but it was slightly unprofessional around guests. I can't say our server had the best service (was forgetful, unenthusiastic, and lacked the effort that goes into being a server), so that took away from the experience. A server (not ours) did bring my son a little rubber ducky which I thought was so sweet! We have eaten at the Brewery countless times since we moved to the island ten years ago. We have taken visitors there and we have recommended it to neighbors. However, after our recent experience on Monday, we will be looking for a new place to get pizza on the island. When we went into the restaurant there was no hostess. After waiting several minutes, she appeared from the back where she was hanging out and goofing off with other "workers". Once we were finally seated, we waited 15 minutes and still had no server. My husband asked the hostess if she could get a server to come to our table. She said someone will be with you. Several minutes later, the waitress appeared. However, instead of coming to our table, she went to a table that just got seated. If we hadn't had a friend with us, I would not have stayed. There never seems to be anyone in charge at this restaurant. It has become a playground for people who are more interested in having a good time than waiting on the paying customers. It's unfortunate that this restaurant has become such a disappointment. read more

Having been to Marco several years in a row now, this place continues to be a favorite. We first started going and ordering meals. Then we took our fresh catch for them to prepare. All were fantastic. But we noticed lots of people ordering pizza so we gave it a try. Now it seems to be a place we order from at least two times each visit. The restaurant can be noisy when really busy but they always seem to have plenty of staff and take care of you in very reasonable time. The only negative is they still allow smoking at the bar area outside. Otherwise definitely recommend a visit or two! read more

Was looking for a brewery while down on the island and this place wasnt coming up on any sites and I saw it on the map so I decided to go and check it out on my lunch break. This place is pretty awesome. Beers from everywhere, place was packed with older crowd but a lot of them so that keeps them busy. TVs on everywhere, inside seating, outside seating. Bar seating on the inside and outside. Lots of reasons to go and its easy to get to. It is located inside the Publix center so parking sucks and super narrow driving and tons of stop signs and weird drivers. A few house beers on tap but many many about 40 others on tap. Had a flight for lunch. Def would recommend for a game or a Sunday. read more

My beer loving husband was excited to see a brewery on Marco island - unfortunately it was a huge let down. We sat down with my parents and ordered drinks. They don't have fresh water - only plastic bottled waters like from pure life. It was very odd. They had a limited selection of local beers. The big thing for us was there was flies all over the place literally landing on us and the table. The cigarette smoke from outside you could smell so badly inside the restaurant - definitely not healthy. The bar area is open air so that is the reasoning for this. The Marco Island Brewery has such potential...it's got a great location, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a huge bar and some decent live music. But after two separate visits, I am just not impressed. The food is lackluster and portion sizes are disappointing, though I'll admit I didn't try their pizza which did smell good from the table next to us. The service was friendly but disorganized and chaotic. At 6pm, they had run out of wine glasses and the bar was too backed up to even get a timely drink. And the most annoying thing was that they allow smoking outside, which wafts right on into the restaurant based on the way the bar area is so open between inside and outside. read more

One note of interest, on the back left wall they have two framed jerseys; Urlacher for the dreadful bears and Roethlisberger for the Six Time Superbowl Champion Steelers. We had simply hung out at the beach all day and decided to stop here. We were here years before (it changed names and ownership), but the place is very similar. Instead of single beers Wifey and I both got flights - Wifey had Kona Big Wave, Islamorada Ale, Florida Beer Co Key West Sunset Ale, and Palm City Brewing Hazify. I got Shiner Holiday Cheer, Stella Artois Midnight Lager, Southern Tier Warlock and the Southern tier Chocolate milkshake. If you look at the pics you can see there's CLEARLY a difference in our beer tastes. I didn't LOVE my bets, but the Southern Tier Chocolate Milkshake should be paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a beer float. Our meals were pretty basic- Wifey got the regular cheeseburger with onion rings and I got a patty melt with tater tots and a side salad. Burgers were pretty good-I wouldn't say amazing, but good. Tots and onion rings were fantastic. We even had room for a slice of coconut cream pie...which was REALLY good. Honestly, I'd come back here. I'll start by saying if you decide to go to Marco Island Brewery, you need to have the mindset that you are going for happy hour drinks and nothing else. Happy hour is 3-6 pm, $5 house wines by the glass and $1 off domestic drafts. We had the onions rings as an appetizer of sorts. There were about 8-10 onion rings for $6 on the happy hour food menu. They were okay. We were getting hungry so decided to order entrees. We tried the fried oyster basket (about 10 small oysters) and the fried scallop basket (about 6 small scallops) and both came with two sides (fries and slaw). The fried batter on the seafood was heavy, and we picked it off. The fries were basic frozen out of the bag dropped in oil, and the slaw was just mediocre. For $20 an entree I expected more substance and better quality. So, there's nothing more to say about this place. Sub-par food (recommend you avoid), and okay for drinks during happy hour. Good little brewery to visit after beach day. They only have about 5 of their own beers but carry a good selection of beers from other breweries. We ordered the pizza and oysters for the table. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The pizza didn't stand a chance and was devoured. Definitely recommend the pizza. Overall would absolutely visit this place again. read more
