I dropped it off here and the guy who fixed it texted me later and explained what the issues were and also offered assistance with other miscellaneous things (normally other PC shops charge extra for this). Being a student in Waterloo without a car, picking it up wasn't exactly feasible in the snow. I asked him if he could drop it off and perhaps have a look at my SSD (which came AFTER I gave him the PC) At my place, he set up the SSD and left. Not long after, I let him know I was having trouble installing the OS on the SSD. He offered to stop by and take a look at it, and of course fixed it. (It turns out that the computer was only recognizing one of the drives) This was all for a flat rate of 80$~. Overall, this was the best experience I've had at a PC repair shop. Highly suggest going here especially with newer builds.

Canada Computer is like a candy store for nerds, and computer enthusiasts. If you've just read a…read morereview about a computer products, don't want order it online, and can't find it at your local Big Box, chances are very good Canada Computers carries it. There are three main reasons a deducted two stars. 1) Their pricing used to be a lot better! In all fairness, this could be a reflection of our weaker, which at time of this review is trading at $0.72 (ouch). That being said, I've been able to get much better pricing on parts from Best Buy down the street, by taking advantage of their Lowest Price Guarantee - it does work, and they do honor it. 2) Return Policy. It's downright awful. Many products have a 5-20% restocking fee. In 2016 - seriously? This has been their policy since the 1990's, and they to change it. 3) Staff. They have some awesome, helpful staff at this location, while others are downright zombies (The Emo kid at video cards/hard drives comes to mind). Definitely worth checking out, and as I mentioned you can find just about everything, computer related, here. Just be smart, and do your homework before purchasing. By the way, they do offer an extended warranty on many parts, but the price can really add up if you're looking at high-end parts. For example, I paid $199 for three years warranty on my new iMac. I paid Canada Computers nearly $700 for my PC rendering machine.

I was showen some chardgers this this guy not talking at all, I asked for a cheap one he loked at me and very sarcastically he said with a huff " Its 40 bucks" There was zero eye contact all not answering any of my questions, just acting like I was nothing more than a pain in the ass for buying a charger I needed a little help with. When walking into the store, you can feel the discomfort and poor attitude from the employees. One was hanging over the half wall when you entered the store, just staring at you, not saying a word. I went in with a smile and was pleasant. I left not happy with the service I DID NOT receive. I will never go back there.
