Second time eating at this hidden treasure. On our way from Albany,GA and had a taste for good…read moreseafood. My dad suggested Seafood Center. I ordered lunch special Catfish fillet and 2 sides - Cole slaw and fries. My dad is old school he ordered Mullet 2 sides - Coleslaw and fries. We waited 20 min for our order. It wasn't busy maybe 5 customers were there before us. The dining area had a bar with drinks and lottery machines. I tried my luck bought a Fantasy Five Ticket. Speaking of that I should check the numbers . The dining hall has about 3 benches (large) and 2 tables that seat 4. If you need condiments, they're provided with meal if needed. The fish was good well seasoned and fried lightly to taste. The coleslaw was good! It was just right - no vinegar taste. I ate about a handful of fries. No seasoning. Again the salt, pepper, ketchup, Tabasco sauce and mustard were provided once the meal was served. I had water and my dad had lemonade . Next door is the store where all fresh fish is sold. As we were sitting waiting on our meal, one of the employees from the raw fish side came through the side door for a drink. I couldn't believe it but he dipped his cup in the ice machine and refilled it with soda. I looked at my dad like did you see what he did??? He didn't use the ice server he used his cup he was drinking out of to pour up ice!!! I cringed! After doing so he went back in the raw fish store came back out with a cigarette in his hand. Yes it was lit. He went outside to finish smoking. I told my dad I will not be drinking the water. I went to the bathroom which is unisex . Only 1 available. There was no towel paper. I used tissue to dry my hands. The floors needed mopping. Considering the coronovirus, all public bathrooms should be well stocked. I noticed 1 customer used the hand sanitizer when he entered the building. I do believe there was 1 hand sanitizer dispenser in the dining hall. The server was very nice and friendly. When we entered to be seated she told us to be seated and she would be with us shortly. It was less than 5 minutes . Unsure who the tall older guy was but assuming he was the owner or mgr. He asked us if everything was alright and if we needed anything. There is a parking lot across the street . Only 2 parking spaces in front of the building. There is parking on the street as wel Other than the guy dipping his cup in the ice machine, it was decent. I'm not sure if I'll eat there any time soon.

There was already a crowd waiting out front, which is always the best sign of a great local restaurant! It is a cafeteria-style setup with an amazing Sunday lineup. They had both fried and baked chicken, fried pork chops, turnips, rice, black-eyed peas, mac & cheese, fried green tomatoes, steamed okra, and dressing. I had the fried chicken along with the turnip greens, black-eyed peas, and fried green tomatoes. Every single bite was fresh and delicious. The greens and black-eyed peas completely stole the show--easily some of the best I've ever tasted. The friendly staff keeps the line moving smoothly. Don't let a slight opening delay deter you; the food here is absolutely worth the wait!

From the moment we walked in, it felt like visiting your favorite aunt's house on a Sunday after church. The food was hot and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The dressing was a tad dry but still flavorful. The collard greens may have been cooked with pork, which I don't eat, so I didn't have them--but I did taste them. They were finely cut, well-seasoned, and definitely not from a can. As I was leaving, I was asked about my experience, and I later realized I was speaking with Ms. Gladys herself. She was sitting in the lobby, observing and ensuring that everyone had a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place for both the food and the hospitality. This feels like "down home"
