I was so fed up when I brought my daughter that I pulled Kajsa aside and told her, "Let the horse throw her.

The play areas are so thoughtfully designed with new, high-quality toys that kept them engaged and entertained for our whole play session. I loved that I was able to interact with them in new, meaningful ways while watching them explore and learn. The space is peaceful and beautifully decorated, making it a perfect escape for both kids and adults. Every detail, from their yummy coffee bar to the personalized play areas, was carefully thought out. It's definitely designed with both kids and parents in mind. It is on the cozy smaller size but the play activities are all nicely spaced out. I went here on a weekday and it wasn't too packed. The children museum provides indoor and outdoor play options. They have a small section for kids under two where they get to crawl, climb and play with balls. *shoes off* For indoor they have the magna-tiles table, chalk board, reading area, pretend grocery store and ranger lookout, For outdoor they have a big water table; soft foam building blocks, a garden and a dirt excavation section. They do have a handwashing station outside so I appreciate that after the messy play. I also love the art installation, it's big colorful bugs and insects. Would recommend you checking it out.

A huge shoutout to Michele, our party planner, who was incredibly communicative, organized, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She made everything feel easy and seamless, and truly helped create such a special, memorable day for my daughter and her friends. The setup and decor were beautiful, and everything was ready to go when we arrived, which made a big difference when hosting a group of excited kids! The space itself is amazing, with so many engaging, hands-on activities for a wide range of ages (definitely up to around 10). The kids were entertained the entire time. Even better, so many of the parents were raving about the experience and how much their kids loved it, which says a lot. Highly recommend hosting a party here if you're looking for something fun, interactive, and well-organized. We had the best time!

There were many different varieties of birds, and each one added to the experience. My partner and kids had a wonderful time, and we especially loved the beautiful koi pond as well. It was a peaceful, fun, and unique outing for the whole family. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys birds and wants a more interactive experience with them. One thing to keep in mind is that visitors are not allowed to hold or pet the birds. However, you can feed them, and if they choose to land on your arm, that's perfectly okay. One of the birds even hopped onto my son's arm, which was a highlight of the visit! Overall, a fantastic experience that we would happily do again.

Located in Del Mar near the festival, if your eyes are peeled open, it can be quite easy to miss. There's a few parking spots available. I came at 10am to see if I can register and walk in right away. They told me to come back at 11am. So I went across the street for a drink and then returned. It was a neat experience. You walk in and use hand sanitizers and get the instructions. If you're not a member you can handle the birds directly. You get a bowl of food and later can circle back to feed the fish. Some birds are outside their cages which is fun and you get some nice photos with them. The ones who ate from my bowl seemed to only really want the apples. The bowls had a mixtures of fruits and vegetables. The ones in the cages they tell you not to take out. Why? Don't know. Flight risk? For 15 bucks a person, it was a nice way to spend a hour and hear why some birds are the way they are (you'll have to ask the workers there why and they'll gladly share stories otherwise it's mostly a independent stroll through the sanctuary). Memberships are available if interested.
