The space was just what I needed as a solo traveler with a quiet room, nice views, sense of safety, clean space, plenty of high quality amenities and products (toiletries, coffee/tea and an in-room machine, etc), thoughtful storage built in, and a comfortable bed. It was VERY convenient to everything I wanted to access, whether walking distance to sites and shopping on my list or very easily walkable distance to public transit for further attractions and the airport. I did not add the breakfast option as I wanted to explore different local places each day, but it did look lovely and the space where breakfast was held was inviting. The on-site catered lunch was excellent -- it was a salad lunch with many options like garden, greek, salmon, and caesar. The smoked salmon salad was particularly tasty. Giving this 5 stars mainly because of the gym - it's large, with multiple rooms, has every…read moreequipment (multiple ones too) imaginable, and is very complete with dumbbells and kettlebells from the lowest to heaviest weights, squat racks, Smith machine, battle ropes, pull-up bars, bodyweight rings, machines to work out every muscle group, multiple treadmills and other cardio machines, etc. It also has mats for yoga, small studio, and is connected to the sauna and shower area. There is a self-serve fridge with smoothies, juices, vitamin water, and other cold beverages. Not to mention that it's open 24/7. Most hotel gyms are very tiny with only small weights and a few cardio machines (simply just to check off the "has a gym / fitness centre" checkbox, but this one is comparable to a full-blown gym that usually requires monthly membership. I was quite impressed. The buffet breakfast is excellent. There are multiple stations: custom-made omelettes (where you can fill out a sheet for your order, then give it to the chef in the open kitchen), hot food, salads, bread, muesli / cereals, warm oatmeal, pancakes with all kinds of toppings, kids' food, fruits, etc. There are plant-based everything: soy and oat milk, soy yogurt, hummus (original and beetroot), various nut spreads (peanut butter, hazelnuts, etc.), and also a gluten-free section consisting of gluten-free breads, crackers, and rice cakes. The highlight is the smoked salmon plate that's practically unlimited because it's a buffet. Fruits and veggies are all fresh. Love the mixed berries and watermelon slices. There is even a DIY fresh orange juice station, where there are cut oranges ready for you to use the presser to squeeze your own orange juice. Beside it, there are freshly pressed juices. I tried the blueberry juice / shots in the mini glasses - very fresh. The rooms (beds, pillows, bathroom / shower) are comfortable, clean, and as expected for this hotel class. There are conference rooms throughout the hotel, and a communal kitchen with mini library on almost every floor. Location is good - right across the harbour with ships, 20 mins walk from the city centre, lots of restaurants and shops, and main railway station. As I entered the hotel I noticed the dirty outside facade and tattered Hilton flag. We were given a low floor with no upgrades available. The elevator door buttons were sticky and gross, the floor appeared to not be vacuumed or cleaned in a very long while as well as a disturbing amount of gross water marks on the glass elevator. We assented quickly to the 4 th floor. Not the executive floor we should have been placed on and as I exited the elevator I began to sneeze and couldn't stop. The layer of dust that greeted me upon exited was appalling. Apparently, this hotel cannot reach certain areas and therefore chooses not to clean them on any level. I noticed the same on floor 7 when visiting the executive lounge which was small and cramped and the pool/sauna. Needless to say. I tried to spend most of my days out exploring instead of in a dust filled hotel where my allergies were quite uncontrollable. This was not the Hilton experience I expected not deserve for the money time and effort I am using for my holiday.
