Sure, these are mostly high end antiques and some more common, less valuable things, but come on, the prices are crazy high. If you look around a Little you can find most of these things, or similar for a lot less. Check out the antique malls in town. I think the people that buy from here are rich and don't have the time to wait, and look around. Or maybe it's a status thing. I used to go to all these WWAS, but stopped last year when I realized it was costing my husband and I $13 to get in and we weren't buying anything. For me, it ended up being a waste of time. Plus most of this stuff is fru-fru and Victorian, not my style. There are other antique shows around, just check the web.

Not a place to come if you have a headache, but if you feel like browsing around, even for a little while. If you have any interest in cool old finds, this is your best bet. But be forewarned-there is stuff everywhere you look-hanging from the rafters, all over the counters, inside old display racks, and on and on... Found some cool old toys that had me strolling down memory lane. Al is really personable and happy to have you around and to tell you how his mother got him started by collecting things, and this is what he has done ever since. I found some cool vintage sunglasses just like a pair I used to have from an old Aunt, which had another sun shade attached with a little hinge to make the top shady too! He was selling them for $150.00!! I bought some amazingly cool and old postcards from the Baltimore and DC areas . Some were written on from over one hundred years ago. Some of the messages and cards were really hysterical and it was cool to see that people had such sarcastic humor back then. One I didn't purchase, but I shared a laugh with Al about pictured a cannon in the foreground with a cemetary in the background. That being said, I don't think anyone in Denver hasn't been based on how crowded it was when we went Saturday afternoon! We had a nice hour wandering and testing/ purchasing what we could afford. The prices on items have seriously gone up since previous years -- like $25 baby onesies and $88 knit leg warmers? Adding up those prices and the new general admission fee, I wonder if the organizers picked a space that cost more and then that tricked down to the vendor fees. All the same, it's a good eye candy time on a cold Saturday afternoon! My only real complaint was the noise. The combo of the heating fans and what seemed like an overly loud band in the back made the last few rows unbearable for walking around. The interesting but echoing location might be better left music-less.

He was incredibly friendly and equally knowledgeable. I intended on a quick visit and ended up hanging out awhile and having a great conversation. Toward the end of my visit he quickly repaired my broken lamp and showed me around his shop. He informed me that I had nice lamps and I should hold on to them since they were in good shape.
