Approximately half the store is dedicated to various reading materials like comics, manga, and fiction. The other half is board games, RPGs, and supplies for said games (like mini figs and paints, dice, etc.). Throughout the store you'll also find toys, posters, collectibles, comic/trading card storage, and more. There's a lot to look at, so if you've never been, I recommend giving yourself at least an hour to browse around. This game shop also doubles as a community gathering and event space. There's lots of room and tables/chairs in the back to accommodate gamers who want to come in and play or hang and be social. I'm sure they have many specific goings-on each week (for example, I saw a sign advertising mini fig painting every Monday evening!); you can check out their event calendar on their website. There was also a gender ambivalent restroom and water fountain/water bottle refill station nearby. Some beverages were available for sale near the front. It is also quite obviously a safe space, as I saw in addition to the hanging pride flag an entire section dedicated to queer and trans materials, and an end cap as well for POC and disabled folk. I can't say how much it means to me as a trans person to see this kind of representation clearly on display during a challenging political time. I hadn't gone with the intention of buying anything (isn't that typical? lol) but to be honest, when I saw the queer support they were displaying, I wanted to support them back. It wasn't hard to find a couple things I wanted in order to give them my financial business. If you too prioritize supporting local queer businesses, consider buying from here! I normally wouldn't have been up this far north from where I live, but I was headed to a Yelp Elite event a little early and decided to see what else was in the area. So glad I stopped in here! There's a TON of inventory in the back room waiting to be organized and put out, but I get that takes a while. It didn't feel the most shopper-ready yet. My brother found some things he was excited about, and I found a few unique books! The owner is so kind and has plans to do DND and game nights as well as music nights with all their space. 3 books was ~$40 so not the most affordable prices, but I'm not super tuned in with what comic books run. I think in a few more months the space will be more visitor-ready with more inventory available to look through!

They are in a new location since our last visit (used to be in Eagan). Per usual, everyone was friendly and helpful. I found a Harriet Tubman comic that I didn't even know existed. I bought the two copies they had. Everything was well organized and easy to peruse both the free and paid comics they have. This space is much smaller than their previous location. Fortunately, everyone was masked, which made us feel more at ease. One of the things I really love about this place, in addition to the fact that it's POC owned, is that I can be an all-out geek and nerd without getting any side eye. Chatting with the staff is fun and I always learn something new. I don't follow the comic world closely, so getting an update and to see the excitement of the person talking is quite infectious. It's probably why I've yet to spend less than $40 when we go there. Whether it's FCBD or not, this is the play for comics, graphic novels, and all kinds of things that you'll not find anywhere else. Stop in!

Not only do they have comics but toys, trading cards, and sports cards. We picked up a few cards and comics from their back issue bins. They do not have a lot of new issues to choose from. If you are looking for a new series, they may need to special order it for you. They also seem to have many autograph signings here which is cool. We will definitely be back!

Top dollar they say bs. 2 days after they offered me I sold one of my comics for $100. They ruined two of my comics while they were looking too. Bent them. And they don't know comics. They have the most valuable old comics memorized but don't know the other newer comics that people like and want that has value. They also don't understand condition matters. They just see all comics as 2$ even low print comics. They don't understand yes low print is easy to find but not NM conditions. They only pay less than a dollar for any comics no matter the condition.

It is an eclectic mix of over 100,000 books on every genre from books to comics to magazines. It was nostalgic to see a complete collection of Nancy Drew books, a series I read as a child. They also had a large area devoted to comics in the front of the store. If you seek used or rare books, this is the top choice to come in the area. The door is locked and you need staff to let you inside the store. There is a shared parking lot behind the store, which was very much appreciated.

I was excited to purchase this pair of earrings after being told they were $200. I asked if they would honor the price I had been quoted, especially since I had already made the decision to buy based on that amount. They refused. Whether it was a genuine mistake or not, changing the price by 50% at the point of sale and refusing to honor the quoted price is incredibly unprofessional. It left a very poor impression I walked away without making a purchase. I understand that mistakes happen, but if you quote someone a price you should keep your word and honor it, even if it means losing a few bucks. A friend even tried to remind them of their quote on the final day or the con as they were not sold and they told her no as well. If you're shopping here, I recommend confirming the final price before getting attached to anything. I couldn't stop thinking about these earrings all weekend. I would have never gotten my hopes up if I heard $300 to start with.

They do have quite of selection of imported goods alongside American IP merchandise. The prices range from reasonable to pricey, so you may get lucky with a steal! The saleswoman behind the stand was so kind and patient with us. There were a few products I was eyeing and she pulled each and every one of them out individually in order for me to get a better look. Even the assortment of acrylic keychains, she went through each one individually until she found the character I wanted. She didn't have to but it was such a lovely gesture! We got to talking about our favorite characters, and once we found out we shared the same interest, she pulled out this pristine vintage plush from hidden behind the counter and offered it to me at a decent price, and I knew I had to get it then and there (as well as the keychain). I'm nowhere near their brick and mortar store, but if you happen upon these people at a local con, check them out! They're knowledgable and friendly and a pleasure to deal with!

I was greeted by the employee when I entered, and he kindly asked if I was looking for anything and to let him know if I needed any help. I appreciated his acknowledgement, yet hands-off-ness since I was just there to do a little light browsing to get a feel for what was there. (I did almost buy my husband a mug for the upcoming holidays, as it was Critical Role themed and he's a fan of that series.) You could definitely find gifts for friends here. I have read other reviews where people complain that the owner is rude. I didn't find him to be, he was very matter of fact and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain how I can properly clean my NES game cartridges. I had been doing it wrong for years. Who knew?
