I was a walk-in client on a Saturday, so I expected it could be busy, but it was nice to wait on the benches and didn't even take very long. Then Renee helped me out and was happy to work with me until we got my hair to the exact length I was looking for. I have straight, fine hair that I tend to grow long and then chop off to my shoulders every year or so and so I know some hairdressers can feel nervous when I say to cut so much off, but Renee was willing to spend the extra time to go back and take off another inch until it was the exact length I wanted. I will not be returning. I asked for my hair to be cut so that it was at length so my ears would not be seen and I was butchered. My haircut is more suitable for a man than it is for a woman it is so short in the back I can't even put a comb through it. I agree I should have been watching what she was doing but she had so much cut hair in my face I couldn't see. I am embarrassed to be seen in public. The Stylist was more trained to do a man's haircut at for a woman's. I asked for something feminine and I got a man's cut! read more

I went in a few days to see about making an appointment to get my hair washed, she was able to do it right then and there. I broke my wrist when the neighbor's rooster attacked me and I fell. These people are horrible. They don't listen to their customers and come up with excuses when they mess up a haircut. Never go there.

DO NOT GO HERE!! They dont listen to your specifications about the hair you want, and overall the way she handled the mess up was to blame it on the customer. read more

Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, and got exactly what I wanted. I brought my young daughter in with me to get my hair cut and everyone was so sweet and helped me when she got fussy and didn't complain at all. I live about 20 minutes away and will certainly go back. read more

Look before you leave... Not open on Sunday. This was my first and last hair cut at this place. Stopped in yesterday afternoon to get a needed haircut. I was quickly taken to the seat nearest the window (it was 100 degrees out) she seemed friendly but not too good at my hair cut, she had cut one side shorter than the other which I did not notice till after I got to my friends home I was visiting. I thought it looked slightly off but thought I was seeing things. What hair stylist leaves one side longer on a (natural cut)? I even left her a $10.00 tip. It was ok. Not as good as my favorite stylist but ok for a no appointment visit. Place is clean, fairly nice, got a good shampoo and an 0k;cut. Wear my hair short so cut is important. read more

11/15/0217 EDIT: Updating my review because this place has gone down hill in the past year. The salon has lost a lot of their skilled stylists and the ones that are still around are often on random breaks or off for the day. Hair cuts are often rushed now and during my last visit the customer service was not the best with my stylist making no real effort to be friendly and who I actually had to ask to clean her station of the previous person's hair before cutting mine (clumps of hair all over the seat). It has become a real choir to get your hair cut here and once you do the results aren't worth it. OLD REVIEW 5/26/2015: I go out of my way to get my hair cut here because all three girls that work there actually know how to properly do a fade. Something I can't say for many of the salons in San Andreas/Valley Springs area. Besides that, they are friendly, polite and complete professionals. Might be a longer drive but at least I never have to worry about a bad haircut. read more

Made an appt. over a week ago and they called to confirm it 1/2 hour before, drove 1/2 hour to get there and she was running a 1/2 late....who confirms appt. and doesn't let you know you will be seen over 1/2 hour late. Loved this place. Wish this shop was closer to my hometown. Was visiting the family cabin and decided to try a new place rather than the places I normally use in San Jose. The staff was very friendly, didn't rush anything, and did a great job. Communicated great about how I want this and how I want that rather than burning everything down. Price was several dollars cheaper than where I live too. I'll be stopping off when I'm in town from now on. read more

This place is ALWAYS busy no matter how many are there to cut hair. Today was exceptionally busy with parents getting back to school cuts for their kids. I was getting mine cut and was impressed with the way the two ladies could cut people's hair exactly as they wanted, quickly and move on to the next - even on children! My only complaint is that they don't take appointments for cuts. If they did, perhaps it wouldn't be so chaotic with people coming in & out to check wait times or putting their names on a list, leaving to run errands during the wait time and then coming back to find they were skipped over or crossed off. Appointments would be a great way to avoid all that and be able to cut down wait times. read more

This was my second experience at this Salon. My first experience was ok, they cut my sons hair but didn't do the greatest job blending. I chalked it up to him being a little antsy in the chair. I thought I would give it another try this past friday. Worst mistake ever, when I walked in I was hit by a cloud of cigarette smoke. When I said something I was told they had the door open but it came in. As an EX smoker I know the difference between a lil smoke wafting in through the door and a cloud of thick smoke. It was so smoky in the salon that when I left my son and I smelled of cigarette smoke. I went ahead and let her cut my sons hair because we were having family photos taken and I was desperate. As she was cutting his hair I noticed she was chewing tobacco. Not a little either, she had a huge dip in her lip. No judgement on her personal choices but at work, in an environment that caters to "beauty" the last thing i expect to see is someone chewing tobacco. Especially when they're in mine or my sons face. We don't want to smell that and I think its safe to say most people don't want to see it or smell it. Im not sure what was more disturbing the room full of smoke or the tobacco chewing hair stylist. Its safe to say I will never return and I will encourage others to go else where as well. read more
