I was greeted halfheartedly and not really offered assistance, but my cloud nine mood brought forth by the gorgeous day quelled any feelings of dissatisfaction. I took a brochure and peeked into a treatment room, which had a huge assortment of framed certificates on the wall. I prefer a simpler space to be treated in, but I suppose presented credentials is also appealing. I sniffed some lovely lavender soap and checked out mini Himalayan salt crystals. This shop is sweet and handy if you're commuting in or out of Dartmouth. The space was bright and the services plentiful. I told her that I may be interested and cutting a lot of volume off and she suggested that I think about it before I make this decision and I'm glad she suggested that. I will definitely go back to Michelle and may try another service next time.

The prices are more than reasonable (hint: they'll do a simple polish change for $10!) and it's relatively easy to get an appointment. Cosmo uses OPI products for their nail services. Waxing is another service offered here (besides the standard hair services, which I haven't had the occasion to try). They offer the full complement of waxing options and although I haven't had any personal waxing done, the eyebrow waxes I did have were mostly painless and done well with regards to structure and shaping. We wanted a manicure and pedicure done as a treat to ourselves but left disappointed. One friend decided on classic French gel nails while the other decided on French gel nails with black tips, while I just wanted gel nails with some polish over it (as I have no nails). Although the lady who did our nails was really nice, the only one that turned out well was my friend who got the regular French gel nails. The one who got the gel nails with black tips didn't get any tips, it was just gel nails with some black polish on the tips of it, it didn't look very good. My nails were by far the worst though. They weren't flat for some reason, and if you look at my finger from a side angle they look like I have some french gel nail bubble. My cuticles weren't pushed back and my gel nails also weren't on my whole nail. It looked like I had like 3 weeks of nail grow out leaving the place. At the last minute after hearing they do eyelash extensions my friend decided to get those while me and my other friend got a pedicure. Our pedicure consisted of a woman cutting our toe nails and putting nail polish on them. She didn't file anything at all. My friend got eye lash extensions which looked fantastic when she left, but they all fell out within a few days. It came to like $70 which would be good if the end result was a nice looking manicure and pedicure. We all concluded a few days later that we wish we said something about how much we hated our nails but a) we were afraid to look like bitches and b) the ladies who did our nails were so nice. Oh well, I'm saying it now on yelp. I will not be back.
