For a small little hole in the wall, down an alley way, it's not a bad place!! I'm happy we stumbled upon this place almost a year ago. Last time they didn't have seats outside and now there's almost like tiny little kids tables made out of crates to sit on! They're cute! However the table top fits one plate. There is high rise tables on the inside though, so no worries. The guys who have taken our orders spoke really good English so don't worry. I do recommend the chili con carne, you get a lot of meat, I've had the chorizo before and maybe had four little sausage pieces in it, not worth the extra money. If you get spicy, it's not too bad. There's just a little kick, not a whole lot. we will be coming back!! Cannot wait to try other things from their menu! read more

Viva la drain pipe! No matter where you are in the world, it seems Taco restaurants just seem to pop up EVERYWHERE! Same in Nürnberg...so we thought we'd give it a try! First things first - the food is fantastic. You can chose between Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas (and some more) and fillings such as turkey, chili con carne, etc. We chose burritos, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not your mushy, all-thrown-in-together, too-much-rice, kinda thing, but a really yummy lunch, where you can actually taste the individual ingredients. Crispy, at times soft, fresh sauces, fresh everything - yumminess all around! What's a bit confusing is figuring out what your meal will cost. You can see the menu hanging above the counter, with lots of illustrative pictures and descriptions, but it's a bit difficult to make out what everything costs. The staff was great - friendly, chatty, cheery - even giving us tips on how to properly eat a taco (without the stuffing ending up in your face, your clothes or the table). Seldom had such enthusiastic people behind the counter. Admittedly, it takes a while until you get your food, but I'm sure everyone will survive waiting for 5 minutes. It is definitely not a cheap snack for in between, a burrito and drink will easily get you to 9€ (chose the menu and add a side on top for another 1€) per person - but it's worth it. And it's enough for a proper lunch anyway. Bottom line: * Fantastic burritos (fresh and yummy) * Great & funny staff * Awesome Mexican-style atmosphere - well not really that authentic... * ...but the cactus made of painted green drain pipes is pretty epic! * Prices are okay-ish, once you figured out what you have to pay * Location is a bit small, but otherwise pretty cool read more

Came here after reading all of the positive reviews. The reviews were accurate. The food is fresh and nicely prepared by caring people. Since we are in Europe we should not expect American prices (cheaper). I mean I could get a doner across the street from this place for a few Euros less. That should not take away from he Mexican food experience to be had here at hot tacos. What will take away is the slightly bland flavoring. Anyway all in all it was alright. read more

Great taco joint in the middle of Nuremberg, perfect for a break from shopping. Not the most authentic Mexican tacos, but what is in Germany! Regardless, it was very delicious and all made fresh to order. They smoke their beef every day, so darn good, make their guacamole fresh each morning, and their salsa are also good. I would ask for extra spicy if you want something closer to traditional Mexican hot- everything tamed for the German pallet. :) Food was awesome overall, and the cook speaks perfect English. I am really shocked that people eat here. Hands down, this is the most over rated place in all Nürnberg. It is terrible. I can't decide what is worse the food or the service. The food is equivalent to pig slop. It's just a bunch of mix matched ingredients rolled up into a tortilla and warmed on a grill. I am from the states where finding Mexican with quite easy. Since moving to Nürnberg, I find it impossible to find anything that resembles Mexican/Tex mex at all. The service here is great, but all the menu items lack flavor. Also, the chorizo was a huge let down. It was pretty much pepperoni wrapped up in a tortilla. It was inedible. read more

He quality of the food here is pretty good as far as Mexican places in Europe go. If you're an American who's used to good TexMex I'd recommend you go get some Bratwurst down the street instead though, because you'll leave this place disappointed. Good location, fast service, but a little pricey for the quality of the food. Really friendly guys at the counter though who spoke good English. read more

I will say that the food is decent, but they are overpriced and very slow. My tip, if you want good Mexican food, get some recipes online and cook it yourself, it will taste better than any Mexican food you can order in Nbg. And probably be finished faster than the time it takes them to finish a burrito. Another thing that does not help their cause is their absolutely nonsensical menu/pricing system. There has to be a simpler way to order food. read more
