Terrible! Personnel members are THIEVES!…read more Dishonest! Stay away! My 77 y.o. handicapped mother stayed in this hotel in during May 6-9, 2016 in the room 420 as a part of a tourist group. As soon as the bus left the hotel, she realized that she forgot two small bags in a drawer of her room's furniture. The bags contained 800 Euro cash and some other valuables. The tour guide immediately called the hotel, but they refused to admit that they found anything. Their cleaning ladies from Slovakia and/or the receptionist were there first in the room to take what was forgotten. I called hotel many times, talked to receptionists and to manager Sylvia Binder, wrote them by email, but they all refused to give anything back nor investigate the case. I told them I will call police, but they understand that I am far away and the bus is gone not to return back, thus it is not easy for me to do so, so they took advantage of us and shamelessly stole our money and stuff. Horrible experience!

Not only it is easily reachable by public transport, but it also offers all the requirements a conference venue should meet: simplistic, yet elegant design, a large conference hall and a friendly foyer, good sound system and lighting, etc. I would definitely recommend Europahaus Wien for further events.

It will perhaps be a better hotel when they are finished and actually ready to open. Let's start with all the good things. The location is excellent, just steps away from the central station and easy to reach from Vienna Airport. The hotel is also as mentioned brand new so the look is modern and clean. It has a typical Novotel feel so trying to create a modern feel to it and it is light and airy. The hotel offers rooms that are clean and nicely furnished. The upper floor rooms offer great views of the city. Big plus is also great air condition and good choice of tv channels (as usual in German speaking countries the options of channels in English is however really limited). What I also believe they should get credit for is the fact that they have provided plenty of plugs and connectors to charge phones, tablets and computers (6 in close proximity to the bed). Bathrooms are nice and big, with good light by the mirror, big mirrors as well as spacious shower. They also provide a coffee maker and water kettle. They also offer a very nice gym and sauna department on the top floor and for those with kids there is a nice room for the kids to play (at entry level). The restaurant and bar downstairs look nice but appears as if it was not fully ready yet as I never saw the bar in the lobby staffed (granted I was moving through it either in the morning or very late in the evening). Now for the things that are not so good. The rooms lack certain basic things that would be ok if it was a 2 star or a lower level 3 star hotel but I get the impression they want to be something more than that. First of all there is no desk in the room and no real option to sit anywhere with a computer. They have instead crammed a sofa in which sort of blocks a large part of the room while due to its position is rather useless as one cannot comfortably watch TV while seated in it but rather just look at the bed and the wall. They also have no iron and ironing board - while I can understand that I could not get one when asking about it - they promised to bring it the next morning before a specific time but did not happen until the second reminder which made for a stressful morning for me. If they want to be an option for business travelers I believe desk and iron an ironing board should be standard in the rooms. The rooms also appear to not be finished as the safes do not work, confirmed by them that they are working on it. Offered storage downstairs in the lobby but does not replace non-functioning safes. Internet was also working on and off so sometimes great but at other times not at all or disconnecting frequently. Further improvements would be to consider adding some small things to the in general nice gym. There is no water in the gym (one can go into the sauna/spa and find a water fountain but the 2 times I was there the whole area was wet and fairly dirty (cleaning had not been done). There are also no shades or blinds in the gym and as it is located on the top floor with nice big windows and all machines facing the window it means the sun will be straight in the eyes from morning and at least for several more hours. Simple things to fix that will be big improvements. The last part that should improve is staff. I believe it is start up issues but several small issues create annoyances. The do not disturb sign was ignored twice by staff wanting to enter the room. I had to ask several times for the iron and they did not keep to what was agreed (meaning I wait and then have to call). I also believe that the fact that the no safes are working should have been informed before or at least when checking in (and the offering to store things downstairs rather than force me to go all the way up, find out the safe is not working and then come down again). The fact that no one asked when checking out or at any other time during the stay whether everything was ok or the if I enjoyed the stay further made me feel that staff were perhaps not yet fully trained and/or a bit stressed by the situation. All in all, still an ok stay and hopefully they will work out some of the issues. There is no air- conditioning, but fans and operable windows work well. They do have an elevator and provide a laundry service which we used. Breakfast is more extensive than most European continental breakfasts we see in the hotels we visit. Ask for recommendations, you won't be disappointed. Look forward to coming back

As mentioned in my review of Liberty Travel, I focused on proximity but from a price perspective most of the hotels were charging a double room occupancy which was a waste since I was going solo this time for Vienna. Truth be told this hotel truly was seven minutes away from City Center and situated near Vienna's Business District. My walk to the Inner Stradt was lovely: I passed many interior design showrooms and stores, cafes and interesting locals. The hotel itself is lovely and situated near a park. The design is warm and cozy. My room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. The most important qualification for all hotels I stay in is cleanliness and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The entire staff were accommodating, professional and friendly. They assisted me with my dude trips and gave me great tips on how to get to a particular must see in a quicker route. I highly recommend this hotel. No self service; no ordered in-hotel service and no third-party service through the hotel. How is this even a thing?! I have never encountered this anywhere I stayed around the world, be it a cheap motel or a place calling itself a hotel. Especially in a large hotel with dedicated meeting rooms, very nice foyer and bar and etc. As a result of this, I had to seek out the laundry service myself and wasted huge amount of time and also had to abandon my clothes as the service was closed when I came back and I needed to leave the country. Moderate: 2) No fridge, no tea kettle in the room. No water or coffee machines in the lobby. Minor: 3) Breakfast buffet is varied, plentiful and tasty. But the selection didn't change one bit in the three days we stayed there. We stayed at a hotel in Prague, where the selection would change in one day. Also, you cannot re-enter the breakfast.

I also thought I was going to Vienna by myself so I booked a one-bed room. But they let us switch to a two-bed room for $50/night more. A room here is $100-200/night. This hotel is within walking distance to important landmarks such as the Opera House, restaurants such as Cafe Sacher, and train and tram stations. In short, it's a convenient location. The room is not as big as American hotel rooms because this is Europe. There's a flatscreen TV, and no refrigerator. The bathroom has bodywash/shampoo which smells quite nice. But my hair needs conditioner otherwise, my hair gets tangled which is why I bring my own. So, keep that in mind if you're thinking about staying here. The bed is quite comfortable. The lobby has couches and seats, and the check-in counter to the left of the entrance (luggage storage in a room behind the check-in counter) and a bar to the right. I've only encountered one male employee who enjoyed being difficult but everyone else was helpful.

Or the subway entrance is right out front so you can venture as far as you want! The rooms are well furnished for a European hotel- large towels (even washcloths which are not common in Europe) nice toiletries, and coffee in the room. We upgraded to a suite on the top floor and had our own personal balcony with a table, chair and umbrella to sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Plaza. The included breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had on our trip! Pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, meats, cheeses, etc- whatever you wanted - it was there. And they have a couple of guys making your favorite coffee drinks as well so I could have sat in the breakfast room all day. And the staff was super accommodating- they ordered us a taxi on our last day and because they did it (or maybe it was the time of day) they were able to pick us up out front versus us having to walk from the pedestrian plaza that this is located on. Know before you go that if you are driving- I'm not sure exactly how close you can get before you have to park your car although there is a parking garage on the nearby side street. Why not 5 stars you ask? The bed just wasn't as comfortable as it could be. It was hard and just wasn't what I was expecting given everything else was so great! But if you like a really hard beds- this could be your place. That aside- we had a great visit and would return the next time we are in Vienna!
