Loved our three days. Great quiet spot to return to after exploring Sorrento. Lovely small pool. Beautiful breakfast room with both European and American choices.

We are so very happy with this lovely hotel. Our sunny and spacious room is furnished beautifully. The service is impeccable. The morning breakfast a feast. You must call it brunch.the hotel is situated 1 block from the main square in Sorento. We conveniently could walk everywhere. We cannot wait to return!

This hotel was ranked #2 in Trip Advisor and for good reason. I remember everything being spotless and very well presented. The hotel is located just minutes from the main square but set back far enough so you don't get the noise from the traffic. Great breakfast buffet with everything you can think of. The rooms were pretty big and we had great views. We had two rooms just off a private hallway by the dining room. We were able to leave our doors open and walk between the two rooms so that worked out great. The rooms do look a bit old but hey, we're in Italy, we didn't come here to look at something new. Great views from the balcony and we could see the old Mill (I think that's what it was) way down below. The staff was very helpful and made reservations for us when needed. Ask them to book you the olive oil tasting tour nearby. You'll get picked up outside the hotel and taken to a third generation family run business (Frantoio Gargiulo http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g194907-d1987650-Reviews-Frantoio_Gargiulo-Sant_Agnello_Province_of_Naples_Campania.html) where you get to tour the mill and taste many varieties of olive oil. Just an FYI, if you need a driver to take you around you can hire one who works for the hotel. Before we arrived in Sorrento the driver picked us up from the Naples train station and drove us to Pompeii for a side trip. He waited for a few hours while we toured Pompeii and then drove us to the hotel in Sorrento.

The veranda restaurant seemed like the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However... the experience was very disappointing. The waitstaff was very inattentive overall (awful service), the waitress was rude and our food arrived more than one hour after we were seated, which was 15 minutes later than our reservation. Late in the evening.. not even during peak dining hours. The food lacked flavor and was overall inferior. The prawns smelled and tasted as if they were not fresh. The pasta was thick and flavorless and not consistent with other wonderful food we had experienced thus far. Overall not happy. If it weren't for the beautiful atmosphere and view, there would be ZERO reason to eat here. Do as someone else suggested which was to enjoy the sunset with drinks here and eat somewhere else!

I could live on the restaurant veranda by the sea! Or the patio. Just exquisite with the canaopy of lemon leaves, the marble inlaid floors, the statues, white tables - all designed to not compete or distract from the view! As the name implies, it's so very serene. Definitely on the high end so if your budget can't afford a week, spend two nights here. That's what I did before meeting friends for the remainder of my time in Sorrento. Since the next four days were full of touring different towns on the Amalfi coast, a boat ride to Capri and the Blue Grotto, and Pompei, I joined them at a different hotel that was more affordable since we basically were just sleeping and showering there. But for my first two days in Sorrento when I wanted to just chill and take in the beauty of this magnificent part of Italy, I chose Hotel Bellevue Syrene and I already want to come back!

I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!

Our room was a suite with two balconies, and a picturesque view of the sea and Mt Vesuvius. Our room felt secluded and private. Beautiful and comfortable sofa and chairs in the room with all the bathroom amenities you would want. We would love to come back and spend more than the four nights we were there! I would highly recommend the hotel installing some safety features in the shower, as it is very slippery and there are no rails in the shower to hold on to. I would imagine someone has probably slipped. The breakfast was enjoyable and relaxing, the omelet maker girl was very nice! We really enjoyed walking the grounds including the cave to the waterside. It was a beautiful pool and very relaxing with drinks. I would also recommend the hotel accommodate travelers who would like to mail a post card and do it for them. Most hotels will mail it and even put the postage on the card. I would also recommend water to be handed out at the concierge or lobby desk for NO CHARGE. We had to pay 7 euros for one large bottle. We have stayed at other hotels and they just ask how many boxes of water we would like. This hotel is close walking into town, we would definitely go back!
