Fish of the day- sea bass

Only ate dinner here. The hotel itself is beautiful but was not impressed by the food or staff. Felt rushed and they were not very friendly. I had the fish of the day (sea bass) which was okay but I've had better seafood. Sunset view was incredible. Would recommend coming here for drinks at sunset and eat dinner someplace else.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The hotel and view are beautiful. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was awesome and free, definitely nothing like a hotel breakfast in the U.S. Had a fancy Christmas dinner that was good as well. Sorrento is an amazing area, and the Bellevue Syrene helped make the experience that much better.

Came here for a romantic dinner for my last night on my honeymoon with my husband and was very impressed! While staying in sorrento we kept noticing this beautiful restaurant from walking around town. Luckily we didn't just show up at night for dinner and went during the day to make a reservation in order to have a dinner experience there because they only had one table remaining for the night. I definitely recommend trying to book a time during sunset because you get to see the sun set over the water while looking at mount Vesuvius and enjoying a 5 star meal. The food was absolutely incredible and the wait staff does such a nice job at making you feel like a million bucks. The wine list is extensive! Take a look if that fancies you. I chose the sea bass for my dinner and my husband the lamb. Both came with complimentary pre and post courses. All of the ingredients were locally farmed from sorrento and it's surrounding areas which was special. I would 100% recommend this experience to couples who want to have a romantic dinner in the beautiful sorrento.

Only ate here, didn't spend the night. Great staff and the ambiance is incredible. A view of Mount Vesuvius and the ocean, along with amazing food and drink.

Review is for the bar- highly recommend for happy hour. We brought our kids no prob. They ordered milkshakes. The drinks are good and reasonably priced, the view of the ocean at sunset is immaculate, the service is great, and they bring you platters of nuts, chips and sandwiches gratis.

    Gorgeous view of Mount Vesuvius

My friends and I came here for a pre-dinner drink and we are so glad we did. For drinks, we were seated by a pool with stunning views of Mt. Vesuvius and the sea. The drink was reasonable at $10 Euros. Gorgeous place and great drinks!

Beautiful, quiet, quaint hotel right on the cliffs overlooking the water with stunning views of Mt. Vesuvius. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was relaxing sitting on the balcony watching the fisherman on the water below. I also enjoyed the walk down to the water through ancient Roman caves. We were given a ride to dinner on a golf cart which was also a nice touch.

This is an unbelievably beautiful hotel. Every corridor, lobby and stairs are decorated with thought. The place is also run very well. The service is something I have never experienced before. Also they serve drinks, alcoholic and expresso with some snacks free at their lounge all day long. Even at dinner they serve some sort of bubbly wine for free. The manager spoke to us warmly throughout our stay. I think all rooms have amazing views. You can see the Vesuvious from most rooms. They have their own private beach and the path to get their is adorable. If your Italy budget allows it, don't miss staying here. They also have a really good restaurant on site. We have tried dinner, lunch and of course the free breakfast and it's fabulous.

Tried to have a nice enjoyable lunch! View is spectacular. However thy decided to have a pre wedding couple conduct their business meeting in the dining room with the hotel wedding planner! Ruined my lunch. I had to sit the whole time listening to a business meeting about foods and trying to sell the couple food ideas. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE for a supposed 5 star hotel! This kind of business should not be conducted in a dining room where people are eating and trying to enjoy the view. I should not have to listen to a formal meeting. There should be an office or conference room where this takes place???? Not in a lovely dining room where people are trying to enjo

The luxury 5-star hotel Bellevue Syrene, situated in Sorrento, has wonderful terraces overlooking the Gulf of Naples. It is an extremeley elegant facility dating back to 1820, which was a patrician home then turned into a private villa. Its rooms are divided into five typologies and offer air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, panoramic balcony and exclusive bathroom courtesy line. The hotel has also two elegant restaurants and a well-equipped beauty centre offering face and body treatments and hammam. Video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxlD3GK_eHM

The restaurant is surreal! It's very picturesque and looks amazing. The coffee (cafe latte) was okay, but the desert was AMAZING!!

A Masterclass in Hospitality - Our Unforgettable 20th Anniversary at Hotel Belair!…read more Our recent stay at the Hotel Belair in Sorrento was, without a doubt, the pinnacle of our 20th-anniversary celebration trip to Italy. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and unparalleled service that truly set this 5-star establishment in a league of its own. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking - every glance out of our window or from the stunning common areas was a postcard moment. The heart and soul of our exceptional experience was the incredible Hotel Manager, Graziana. Though we only met her once upon arrival, her presence was felt throughout our stay as she masterfully orchestrated an unforgettable experience for us. She was the epitome of helpful and accommodating, anticipating our every need with an uncanny intuition. Graziana provided invaluable recommendations, guiding us on how to best utilize our limited time and navigate the area like locals, considering logistics and our lack of local knowledge. She even got us the room upgrade I requested for the last minute! My special request for a bouquet of flowers and fresh Sorrento lemons for my wife to celebrate our anniversary was executed flawlessly, creating a truly magical moment. And on our final morning, knowing we had an early departure, Graziana had arranged for a delicious breakfast to-go - a thoughtful gesture that was so appreciated. Working diligently behind the scenes with Graziana was the ever-charming Antonino. He was a constant friendly face, always incredibly helpful, welcoming, and looking remarkably dapper, especially with his stylish blue suede loafers! Antonino played a key role in coordinating all the wonderful touches that made our stay so special. Beyond the exceptional individuals, the Hotel Belair itself is a jewel. It's undeniably beautiful and fancy, yet it exudes a comforting, home-like ambiance that allowed us to relax completely. The entire property was exceptionally clean, a testament to their high standards. The service across the board was simply phenomenal. While no hotel is perfect, the dedicated staff at Hotel Belair made it feel perfect. Need something? A quick call and it was promptly delivered (Thank you Olga for the fan). It was the thoughtful little things that truly resonated: the custom card delivered each evening with the next day's weather forecast, or the almost magical moment when staff noticed us taking a brief cover from a light rain by the entrance and appeared with umbrellas, without us even uttering a word (we still don't know how they saw us!). The hotel restaurant manager Francesco was wonderfully nice and hospitable, contributing to an incredible overall dining experience. Even the bartender by the pool Luca elevated our relaxation, proactively bringing us delightful beverages as we were just settling in to chill by the poolside. You might think, "Well, this is what 5-star hotel staff are supposed to do; it's their job." But I can assure you, having stayed in other luxury hotels, the service at Hotel Belair is on an entirely different plane of existence. This is a masterclass in hospitality, and other brands should take notes. Frankly, it's almost embarrassing how other hotels operate when you compare them to the Belair standard. Thank you, Hotel Belair, Graziana, Antonino, and the entire team for making our 20th anniversary so incredibly memorable. We will cherish these memories!

We arrived in Sorrento on a train from Naples on a rainy evening. The taxi drivers wanted £25 for a 1 mile ride so we decided to walk instead. It was a comfortable 25 minute walk (we took the long route) from the train station and we got to walk through the city center on our way. Unlike the previous reviewer, the walk to the city center is easy (maybe 15 minutes max) and beautiful. You get to see outstanding views of the ocean and the houses along the edge of the mountains. In addition, almost all the hotels in Sorrento are at least about the same walking distance (or more) from the city center. Busses are also available for those who prefer not to walk. The hotel provides a free breakfast every morning. Good continental spread but they went out of their way to have good gluten free options for my fiancée. The staff (front desk and wait staff) were always nice to us and always remembered our breakfast preferences. The best thing about this place are the views. Breathtaking, show stopping gorgeous. We loved waking up every morning to amazing views of the city and the ocean. We were lucky to get an ocean view room but I recommend asking for one when you make a reservation. The only negative was that the tour of Capri we booked through the hotel sucked a little. It was no way the fault of the hotel though. The room was small, with barely enough space for us to open both our suitcases, but that didn't bother me much. The first morning we woke up to the bathroom smelling so strongly of smoke that I had to hold my breath going in. This is a nonsmoking hotel so it was disappointing to experience. Also, during cleaning every day the staff would open the windows for some reason, which would 1) let in bugs and 2) make the room really hot when we returned. Not sure why they kept doing that. Breakfast offered coffee/tea, a couple of juices, scrambled eggs, a rotating daily frittata, cured meats, veggies, pizzas, and a huge table of sweet pastries. Not the most balanced as there wasn't much protein, and overall, quality wasn't the best. But I still appreciated getting my morning coffee and a bite to eat before heading out for the day.
